Frank, thank you so much for your food truck series. My son and I started construction on his trailer in March of 2022 and it was completed in June. We live 200 miles apart and we worked on it on weekends. We did have the hood and fire suppression system installed by a contractor, but the rest of the work we did ourselves. Your videos gave us the confidence to tackle this project on our own. This past weekend he took the trailer back to his home in Charleston, SC and this morning he passed the DHEC inspection with a score of 100%. Thank you again for taking the time to share your knowledge with everyone.
Love to hear that!!!!! Definitely the hood, wine and fire suppression are by far the hardest parts. Everything else is not too bad. Glad you got it done approved. 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Frank!!!!!! you are the man! Thank you for the insight...my brother and I want to start food truck adventure...all your information greatly helps!!!!! i will wait for more videos from you.... Thank you once again!
You're the man Frank! Thanks for all you do, I love your stuff. 3 quick questions for ya: 1. How many hours do you estimate the average DIY build will take (assuming I'm using your videos as a guide and I'm not very experienced/skilled in construction but am competent and a quick learner)? 2. What are the parts that have the longest lead time? 3. What are your thoughts on truck vs trailer?
Trailer hands down the best, I never had any issues at all but I bought everything before there were any delays in any materials, I would say maybe a good 3 weeks if you were doing it consistently for a few hours a day. About 50-60 hours 1 person I never kept track so hard to say
I have a question about the windows. I know you order them through just J and M are they better windows or cause there’s some cheaper windows do you? Why do you recommend those?
@aram-g3p it's the only ones I have used, they have never failed on me, great quality. It would cost me more time and money to go experiment with another company and it doesn't work or I have to replace in 3 months. if this one works wonderful.
Hi Frank, We recently had a trailer built for our school. This was suppose to be turn into a student run business to give our students and skills on being entrepreneurs. Well, the person who built this really messed us up. No permits where taking, we don’t know if anything works, and today we found a roof leak. We are completely devastated. Most of all our students. Any advice on where to even begin to get this repaired? Also, eventually we would love to add an awning. Do you know of a vendor for awnings ? This is a non profit food trailers that was going to make food and feed the homeless to preparing meals for senior community centers. Please help an educator who feels so defeated right now
Hello Frank, I'm in the Crystal Lake area and looking to startup a food truck. As far as licenses go, do you need one per county you're serving in? Or does one certificate work for all surrounding counties? Thank you for the video!
You can get one day or special occasion permits if you are doing a festival at a different county. If you would be serving there daily they might want you to pull a annual one

Where can we find a commissary to clean at in DuPage? Near aurora/naperville
I just went to family owned restaurants and asked for assistance, I used my electrical skills to barter. Work for work ended up working out well
