    The purchase “under duress’ of the Dam store, was a legal maneuver by the county to avoid litigation in the future to make this family whole. Shame on this county for taking advantage of this residents legal peral in a time of need. I hope the entire citizenship of the county rises up and makes this family/community hole.
    Notice how all public officials go silent after the first press conference,,,, “that’s legal” department.
    To the county legal department, “no pie for you” forever banned. Unless you make things right , full restoration of everything.

    Good for the county! Buying what is about to be consumed by the river saves so many folk so many heart aches. I noticed the county demolished their newly-purchased structure when no one was looking. Good optics.

    I really need someone to explain to me why this was torn down. Either the failed dam takes the building out, or it survives for another day. Why tear it down and make that destruction 100% certain?

    • @Zzzz...7
      @Zzzz...7 Місяць тому +5

      Actually, the dam _did_ fail. From the Associated Press:
      As water flows peaked, debris plugged parts of the structure and the west abutment of the dam partially failed.
      Even though the concrete structure is still standing, the west abutment isn't. A partial failure _is_ a failure.

      @@dronevideos7I’ve read the Bible-four different versions! I’ve also read the Book or Mormon, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Satanic Bible, and the myths and legends of the Native Americans, the Greeks, the Japanese, and other cultures as well, to say nothing of studying up on erosion, weather, climate patterns, etc. Everybody has their own stories that try to explain the unexplainable, but I prefer the science. And by not realizing the potential danger that the Dam Store was in when the water first breached the abutment and taking action accordingly, the town or local government might have been able to save and move the store structure in its entirety before the house collapsed. Now they took the “easy” way out and simply demolished a historical landmark, and they have only themselves to blame.

      I am sorry. We are not really talking about the same thing here brother. I am just giving hope to all Christians that no matter what the tragedy is, God will continue to love them and give to them in other ways that will help. No one died in this situation, and I expect that people will step up and build a new dam store and home as well. It is all part of how the Holy Spirit helps in the long run brother.
