I love this band. Four really classy, great men who stayed together throughout. I love how Levi refused to step out of the band to go solo and how they were always the Four Tops, not Levi Stubbs and the Tops. What a great group with some of the greatest songs ever recorded. Best group in Motown history.
LEGENDS!!!!! Class act!!!!! This is when music was music and individuals actually knew how to sing!!!! Musical groups and solo artists carried themselves with such pride. It's absolutely tragic what the music industry has become.
Hi edagdwg thanks for sharing this story of what happens when you enjoy your life I'm sooooooo blessed to see these people are like brother's God bless them all Linda j peace ❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯
My grandmother had a huge crush on him back in the day. I’ll tell you a story. One day, she was flipping the channel and the little shop of horrors musical from 1986 comes on. Near the end of the movie she asked me, baby kay, do you know who’s voice that is? My response was I don’t know grandma. She said that’s Levi of the four tops. Obviously at that time, I didn’t know any of their names. From the time I was a baby until she died, she always called me baby kay. Around the 90s, she said he didn’t look so good and she was concerned. Come to find out years later for myself, he had cancer and he retired in 2000. The only thing that broke the Four Tops up was death. No lineup change until 1997 when Lawrence Payton died. As for the Temptations, they must have had over 30 or 40 personnel changes from the 1960s through today. I don’t know if you know this or not but Levi was supposed to play the piano man but he turned it down for the love of his bandmates. Isn’t that cool? Who picked up the role you ask? Richard Pryor.

Levi was so underrated. R.i.p Levi, obie, and Lawrence. Lawrence was a talented singer also.
These gentlemen are pure class. Such talent.
Amazing that The Four Tops didn't have a member change until Lawrence Payton died. Great singing quartet of longevity.
Yep, 43 years straight (1954-1997)!
@@munimathbypeterfelton6251 Awesome run of longevity.

They look sensational
Levi. Purity.
