been forever since I've been back... the dust masks are for "enhancements" for the night and/or to prevent you from inhaling pounds of dust! I'm SOOO glad I experienced these raves at its finest!
Yup empire polo field Indio California, freshly cut grass nice blowing wind all night not too cold, Paul Oakenfold was the shit! Trance forever and ever.
i been raving since mid 90"s until now,and never dropped anything its all about that underground sound!!!!! back then was dope cause it was truly a massive with every sound,GABBER/HARDCORE,TRANCE,DEEP HOUSE,TRIP HOP,DRUM N BASS,LOL FUNNY ONE OF THESE SONGS IS A HARD HOUSE SONG THE BRINGIN THE HARD BEATS RAVERS HATED HARD HOUSE
Aaa I was ther that night! I met a super cool guy named Tim from Santa Barbara! So nice! My house burned down after that and I lost a lot of my contacts, but I always wondered what happened to him. Thx for the bong dude!!
Man I remember this one was out on a reservation, got there early and was native gentleman too not pleased with what was going on, off roading in a civic man them were days
I wanted to go to this party so bad! I was in the Navy and had duty day on Sunday. So, instead I dropped 5 hits of acid and jumped on the trolly to downtown San Diego.
Denny, crystel, Zager, E-Or, or any of the 5 or 6 Matts we used to hang out with, if you come across this video send me a message. I've always wondered what became of everyone after we all went our separate ways.
this was my favorite party went with my little brother andhe rolled for the first time then we ran into like twenty other people from our home towwn and danced the night away it kicked ass!!!
Only a bit of that is true. You have to take into account how much bigger the events have gotten, inflation, production value is like 10x better, artists are alot bigger. The list is huge
Not true. Only like 100 pre-sale tickets went for $20. From 97-99 massives during those years cost around $30-35 pre-sale and $40 at the door. i.e. go ventures, insomniac, b3cande, audiotistic, narnia.
Oh my God you remember that sh!t? That thing came down like a wave crashing, and we rushed the inner fence and the security finally just sped everyone in...remember the dust aftermath in the AM? All the cars were covered brown, and I wrote onE with my finger on the roof, and permanently etched it in LOL.
These are how Raves were and the best ones! What was the DJ's name with the dreads at the end of this video. He had a damn good set. i remember seeing the sun rise listening to some damn good Trance. These were the beats raves!
raves now a days ARE WAY FUCKEN BETTER. BETTER SOUND PRODUCTION . BETTER DRUGS. BETTER LOOKING GIRLS WEARING NEXT TO NOTHING . THE ONLY BAD THING IS THEY ARE WAY MORE EXPENSIVE AND NOT IN AN RURAL ENVIRONMENT LIKE THIS ANYMORE, BUT WHO WANTS MASSIVE CLOUDS OF DUST IN THEIR FACE ANYWAYS?
@robbiewoolsey Lol, I guess the kids don't do that anymore! I used to smother that shit all over the inside of filters for a ventilator mask when rolling balls.
If you are talking about where there is a specific room dedicated to special hardcore intensity they stopped that when i went to raves when I was 18 pr so and i think that was in 2008 or so
Legendary 🙏

@msfeliciagirl the masks are oldschool raver gear...people rubbed vicks vaporub inside the mask and wore it around if they were rolling....

I wanted to go to this party so bad! I was in the Navy and had duty day on Sunday. So, instead I dropped 5 hits of acid and jumped on the trolly to downtown San Diego.

+John Reyes for a single day....
All big events back in the 90's was $20. Pasquale is greedy and has been blinded by his capitalism.

I was at this rave, good times.
Anybody remember the dancing crews like NON-STOP, the asians killed it with their rave stomp , or whatever you called it.
I’ve been trying to find vids of that type of dancing, i remember it differently than shuffling looks today.. was it the same?

Visor, white shirt w/ tie, and your big ass raver pants.., fucking loved that style.

Wasn't Mark Farina one of the dj's head lining this party? It was either 1998 or 1999
