Hats off to Miami from a lifelong IU fan. They had IU off their game from the get-go. That’s the worst I’ve seen IU play since January. Great game plan by Miami and great intensity the entire game. It seems like certain teams get so hyped to play IU and then fall flat the next game. I don’t understand why teams have that attitude when they see IU on their schedule, as we haven’t really been that relevant in college basketball in the past 30 years. But I see it all the time. You’ll have a team that’s last place in the Big Ten play lights out vs. IU and then lose every other game. So please, Miami, play just as hard vs. Houston and the rest of the teams you face. If you play like that every game, you will win the tourney. I will be rooting for Miami the rest of the way! Big fan of their hustle & grit (at least what I saw in this game).

Honestly ya'll played Miami closer than Houston despite the final score. Losses in the tournament hurt bad, but at least you guys have been having nice seasons (I'm a Gator fan smh)

This was sort of similar to the Indiana/Penn St game (Big Ten semifinal) which IU struggled against quicker, composed guards who could make plays on both ends of the floor.

Hurricanes was well coached Jackson Davis wasnt a factor on defensive end.
Favored teams like Arizona, Virginia, Purdue, Kansas and Indiana lost because they could not readjust their respective winning strategies that didn't work in NCAAT against the opponents who were familiar with their strategies to figure out their weaknesses in preparation. Conversely, these teams were ill-prepared for their higher-seeded opponents whose tactics were known either less or not at all to opponents outside their conferences.

I really don't understand how Indiana was a 4 seed with their profile. I thought they were by far the most overseeded team in the tournament and this game showed why.
Are you familiar with the Net evaluation tool? A big part of it was their strength of schedule and quad 1 wins.
@@alexc656 Yup - it's the same reason Kansas was a #1 seed despite 5 blowout losses which I've also never seen before. I get they use the evaluation tool but Indiana to me was a 7 seed at best.
@@walterlv01 oh I agree with that. I'm an Indiana fan. They have 2 good players and no bench. 0 bench points for this team agaisnt Miami. Kansas state is another example. A 3 seed losing in the round of 32 with 2 good players and no bench.

Also, coming back to this game now that Miami is in the Final Four, I think Indiana is a team that got an unlucky matchup. They gave Miami a really good game even on an off-day. It just got away at the very end.
