    Oh man, Fatboy actually sampled a documentary about record production for that hook. That's LITERALLY just something Dave Jackson played during a soundcheck. SO many of the best musicians we've got go unnoticed their whole lives...

    Many years ago at a record swap I stumbled upon that JBL record, not having any idea that sample was on there. I was into test records and oddities at the time, and the vendor had marked it down because it wasn't in the best condition. When I got home and listened to that cut I was beside myself! Sample sources weren't nearly as accessible back then. Felt like I was part of some secret society lol.
    Love that all this knowledge can easily be found now though.

      if i go into a record store and ask for "test records" will they know what im lookin for? ive tried some sound library records/background tracks but never found anything worth using on them

      I don't think it'll be stuff like that. The stuff people tend to sample seems really obscure. I don't know for sure, but I don't think "Take Yo' Praise" or rehearsal tracks were radio hits. It'll be stuff very few people have ever heard of, that you find in discount bins.

      Basically a short loop. You take a short audio clip and loop it. Alot of YTP and modern meme use it frequently aswell

      The 2 piano parts are used, the main one is on this video, but at some point you can hear vocals from the other one (the doodadoodoodadadudududu)

      @@JohnPaulBuce No, it is the right part of the sample. In the original song, you can still hear slight residue of the vocals in the sample, which was used in this video.
