I honestly think it would have been hilarious if it wasn't miles, but simmons, sarge, and grif trying to flip the warthog all the while wondering what the hell church was doing in a labcoat.
So they definitly filmed that twice right? they specifically show the booblehead fall off and then in another shot show the bobblehead still on while its flipping.
bingo5387 also there is one shot of the warthog landing on its wheels in such a way that would be followed by it flipping over again in the other direction.
Maybe because I've watched hours of podcasts and stuff but I feel like Bernie has a different diction from Church, Bernie only sounds like Church when he's excitable or confused. Miles is somewhere in between Felix and Jaune for me.
actually that is not a problem, it can support its own weight, the issue is that it would pulverize his bones due to the speed it moves, his lack of reinforced bones, no neural connection, and a few other things. they mention that halo the fall of reach, the book not the game.
I know it was an unfair expectation, but when I first saw the title, my mind went to the Warthog jump videos, not just flipping it back on its wheels...
I was expecting the Halo 2 thing of driving off a ramp and shooting the rockface next to you with a rocket launcher, forcing the warthog to barrel roll like crazy
wait wait wait one second, at 6:30 bobble head clearly falls off warthog and at 6:40 it is magically back on?!?! you got some explaining to do rooster teeth
Obviously they do, as they got more than one shot of the Warthog flipping. The bobble head flying off is indeed a continuity error, but there's not much they can do about that. Still a fantastic set of shots either way.
If they ever do something in DC: "Hello we're here at the Rooster Teeth Whitehouse" "We're here at the Rooster Teeth Washington Monument" "We're here at the Rooster Teeth Smithsonian Museum of Natural History" ;) lmao
He's probably referencing how most shows that use a private building or area of some form will refer to it as "The ." It's fairly common in shows that travel around to various places for filming, and often avoids paying any fees associated with saying "We're at the Mazda Racetrack." It's an odd marketing / sometimes legal thing.
roberto gurrola Peter's got it. I'm just joking at how Burnie is like "welcome to the Rooster Teeth canyon testing facility" and "Rooster Teeth garage lab" or whatever he said in the video even though it's obvious that they don't own it, it just sounds ridiculous to me haha...... it's like if he was standing on a dirt pile in the middle of the desert he'd probably say "Welcome, we're here at the Rooster Teeth dirt pile."
I want to complain that they blew up a really cool real-life warthog...but this episode was too much fun for there to be any negatives said about it. Love!
Is this all the result of a cosmic coincidence? Or is there really a god watching over us, with like a plan and stuff...I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night...
That. Was. Awesome. Absolutely knocked it out of the park, RT! The cinematics. The Puma. The Grif. And a damn near perfect recreation of in-game visuals. Shame about the thing getting blown up, though. Oh well, Lopez will fix it.
But... Guys... Spartans have genetic super strength, and their suits also increase their strength, which is why they need neural implants to control the suits! Also, now do "Hold X to flip Scorpion" then "Hold X to wait... How did you even... Nevermind. Hold X to flip Elephant."
Joshua Malcolm Nope. ODSTs aren't augmented (in the Halo universe there MAY be a handful that are, but it's not part of the ODST selection/training process). It's one of the reasons some ODSTs despised the SPARTAN-IIs.
I think the 1st attempt was too much force and it flipped too much. The 2nd attempt, they made adjustments for the right flip they wanted. It looked like the 1st shot flipped almost completely back in its other side.
Let us just get an 8 year old. Train them for 10 years or so. Be sure to put them through painful surgery that may or may not kill them. Then aside that design advanced power armor and we'll get ourselves immersed right into it
They don't actually have the strength to move powered armor on their own. It's in the name: *powered* armor. They need an a.i. and increased reflexes to even stay in one piece while wearing it. Seen MatPat's game theory on why it's so easy to melee a Spartan to death?
didn't Dr. Halsey augment the bodies of the Spartans from a young age specifically so that they could operate the powered armors. because when they put regular marines in them they got ripped apart. master chief didn't get an AI to move his suit that came after they decided having an AI expert on a mission was necessary. all the original Spartan armor never was AI compatible only Master chief received the changes to his on cerebral implants and suit to do so. Physically all 150 original Spartans could move a warthog in their armor.
SpiralBlitz Gaming Well, the A.I. actually didn't move the suit, they acted as an interface between the two because even the Spartans had trouble keeping up with it on their own, because the suits just aren't capable of mind reading, so they couldn't quite anticipate what movements were actually being made and would overdo it a bit. But yes, the suits were too reactive for normal humans and only Spartans had the carbide ceramic ossification augmentation necessary to withstand the bone shattering force of the movements
SpiralBlitz Gaming you're right, the candidates was implanted with augmentation to be able to use the spartan armour. the guy talking about needing an AI to run the armour is wrong as there is Spartans out there who haven't had an AI
2222daz Do you know what generation of Mjolnir armor that Miles is wearing represents? Mark V, which requires an a.i. It's the previous generations of armor which didn't need an a.i., but generations I-III never saw battle, and Mark IV was not used by Master Chief's generation of Spartans, and wasn't used too heavily for warfare, but more for quelling rebellions, etc. Mjolnir Mk. V was actually being produced when Master Chief was still in training, and he first used it when he and Cortana were testing it for battlefield use. Therefore, you aren't wrong, but maybe I should have been more specific; no Mjolnir battle suit that actually saw battle didn't use an a.i.
I don't know what I'm more disappointed about... The fact that there isn't a LIve-action RvB, or the fact that they blew up a perfectly good real life warthog (excluding the infectious Miles sweat on the "passenger" side).
I'm not fully convinced that you two are trolling, so with that said 1. Never claimed the car to be street legal or to even be driven on the street (btw there are plenty of cars/motorcycles that aren't street legal that people have for special events/races) 2. I wouldn't expect a conceptual video game replica vehicle built within an entertainment company's garage would be anything short of a lemon that looks the part (even though we see footage of it obviously functioning somewhat to the standards it was built for).
Use your back damnit. Everyone know's the back's the strongest muscle in the body. What your bleeding? You just need some orange juice. All seriousness we need more live action episodes of Red vs Blue. That would be so awesome.
K R no, they actually blew it up. They talked about it at an RTX panel. Basically, the warthog wasn’t street legal and it wasn’t really legal for them to keep it as well, so they decided to make content out of its “death”.
Linus I don't think they're cyborgs, at least not in the traditional sense. Besides more superficial features like neural implants their augments are mostly biological I think. They don't have robot parts at least.
I think if I'm not wrong this was an immersion they weren't very fond of. They mentioned that it was drowned with money and health and safety regulations so it didn't feel like a proper immersion. I'm just paraphrasing off the RT podcast
I don't buy that. People have vehicles all the time that aren't "street legal" but they still garage and keep those. Race cars, off road vehicles, monster trucks, etc. None of those are "s.l." but you can still OWN them and keep them. But also at the end, notice there is no engine block or transmission left in the wreckage? That's because they blew up a mock one, not the one they were driving.
They drove a warthog to taco bell before, to make it street legal only requires a few modifications; there's a show about making WWII TANKS street legal. I'm pretty sure they have a different warhog they didn't blow up still from that RT Life video.
In addition to the characters in Halo being physically enhanced, I'm fairly certain they have exoskeletons as well. Exoskeletons aren't entirely science fiction with some models out there that can help with jumping. So when you take into account that intergalactic travel has been reached in other areas of science in the Halo universe, better exoskeletons seem plausible. In addition to the exoskeletons, vehicles are also potentially lighter due to lighter metals. So the science part of me is reluctant to accept this. It's still a very cool thing to see attempted on any level. I would have liked to see if they could have figured out other ways to attempt to lift it though. Just a giant steel bar would have been something.
Ya know what also helps with flipping a warthog in the game? That the person doing it is a super soldier and not just a guy wearing colored armor. Also, what would've made it better was if Sarge hit Grif for no reason
There were never any doubts that a normal human couldn't do it. The master chief and all other Spartans are genetically modified and outfitted with a super suit, being the mark 5, those suits add to the Spartans already altered strength. In the books they lock up for certain things like when in a fire fight so there is no recoil and also when about to impact into something. They even mention that if a normal human were to wear one, one movement would immediately kill them because there body wouldn't and isn't capable of using it. It also mentions that Spartans after being altered are 6 times stronger than normal, add the suit into the equation and it would resemble Ripley in Aliens taking on the queen xenomorph. Either way this was fantastic to watch, another great episode.
I really think that if they were going to use Miles for this, he should have been wearing Felix's armor. Just because it looked kind like Simmon's or Sarge's, I thought it was going to be Gus or Matt behind the helmet.
RoosterTeeth has a "test canyon"? Roosterteeth has a workshop? RoosterTeeth has an FX team? RoosterTeeth has the budget for and access to a life size warthog, let alone blow it up? *HOW AND WHY DO THEY HAVE ANY OF THIS?!*
I like the thought that roosterteeth just owns their own canyon.
Providence83 it's a box canyon with two bases in it
All they need is the blue guys and they could to a live action _RvB_.
and sheila
Freckles!
Sheila was the tanks not the warthog
I honestly think it would have been hilarious if it wasn't miles, but simmons, sarge, and grif trying to flip the warthog all the while wondering what the hell church was doing in a labcoat.
PFFFT. Yes, please.
"-with one of the most iconic and beloved video game vehicles of all time."
*Proceed to blow it up
Why tho
Now I'm interested in seeing a live version of a RvB episode now
Shh. Don't spoil season 15.
Burned Smackdown Season 14 Episode 8
Poor Geoff then. He would be dead by the end of the day.
maybe turn on creative mode and he would be just fine ;)
there was a special in the bonus features of forward until dawn that was live action rvb
Ok, now flip a scorpion.
Incredible Canemian Or the elephant
moviemaker2011z lol
Incredible Canemian nah mate flip an elephant
Flip an elephant
damn... you beat me to it.
So they definitly filmed that twice right? they specifically show the booblehead fall off and then in another shot show the bobblehead still on while its flipping.
yep
bingo5387 also there is one shot of the warthog landing on its wheels in such a way that would be followed by it flipping over again in the other direction.
i believe
I feel like the warthog may have flipped over onto its other side so they had to do it twice
bingo5387 I
Nice of the guys from red vs blue to team up with roosterteeth
Oliver Funnell Good one man.
lol
.
I was about to go all out on you then, but then i noticed the joke.
What? You got a word-a-day calendar or something?
6:29 The little Red spartan falls out
6:40 In the "replay" the Red Spartan is fixed on the car
*WHAT ?????????* o.O
I saw that too, I guess they flipped it twice?
The Darth Designer it looks like it may have flipped back over the first time. based on that one shot of the wheel.
Chris ar true
TheDarthDesigner is
They did two takes
Looks more like a big cat than a pig with horns if you ask me.
Aaron Reining what like a puma?
Stop making up animals.
Yea man, there ya go
You mean like a puma?
Simmons, I want you to poison Alister 131's next meal.
I can't see Miles Luna or Bernie Burns. All I see is Church and Felix.
Carmen Appelgate Miles has the wrong armor
Maybe because I've watched hours of podcasts and stuff but I feel like Bernie has a different diction from Church, Bernie only sounds like Church when he's excitable or confused. Miles is somewhere in between Felix and Jaune for me.
I heard Jaune when he was trying to flip the Warthog. He definitely turned into Jaune.
Church/Lopez/Vic
Only this time, Felix is pretending to be Sarge
I don't think is fair, Miles didn't have a working spartan suit... NOT A TRUE INMERSION.
if he had a real one, it'd rip his limbs off. we all know what happened to the suit testers that did not have augmentations.
if he had a real one it'll crush him instantly because the amror weighs about 1,000 pounds
@lazyartist Last Ayy someone's read the books :D
actually that is not a problem, it can support its own weight, the issue is that it would pulverize his bones due to the speed it moves, his lack of reinforced bones, no neural connection, and a few other things. they mention that halo the fall of reach, the book not the game.
lazyartist Last You know, for being a working spartan suit, it has to, you know, work.
I know it was an unfair expectation, but when I first saw the title, my mind went to the Warthog jump videos, not just flipping it back on its wheels...
IAMTHEJUGGERNATE me too man. me too.
WOO OOH.
Guess u didnt see when they blew it up as well in the end. Heh
Im so glad someone else saw that
I am pretty sure they did 2 or more takes because the first one looked as if it flipped to its other side.
It's not the old RT any more, they don't care about quality.
Ha, RT caring about quality
Obviously they do, as they got more than one shot of the Warthog flipping. The bobble head flying off is indeed a continuity error, but there's not much they can do about that. Still a fantastic set of shots either way.
I'm curious why there hasn't been a live action red vs blue episode yet.

BCvertex oh ok, that makes since now.
Dr. Church's early work for the military was not as awe inspiring as his experiments with AI.
YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!
Seriously though, why blow it up? i'd make that my everyday car...
I'm guessing that's not anywhere close to being road legal.
Apparently it was illegal for them to keep it.
if I remember correctly it wasn't street legal and they weren't allowed to keep it for some reason
They had to do it
Twas a ruse Roasty
Ok so I know it wasn't the real warthog, but God that still pained me to watch it blow up.
good one now do a scorpion tank see how that go
^this
That gamer then the elephant
Only Tex has been able to flip a Scorpion back onto it's treads
Misterlegodude but caboose has been able to lift things she can't
Then do the mammoth.
I want to complain that they blew up a really cool real-life warthog...but this episode was too much fun for there to be any negatives said about it. Love!
barbaro267 pretty sure it was a fake
barbaro267 They've had it forever, it wasn't street legal or legal to keep, so they decided to make content of its death.
yeah it was fake. the bobble head falls out and next scene is still in the wathog
it wasnt why
Nooooooooooo
You ever wondered why we're here?
To watch videos.
To see badass explosions.
It's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why are we here?
Is this all the result of a cosmic coincidence? Or is there really a god watching over us, with like a plan and stuff...I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night...
MrIrish725 No, i mean, why are we out here?

so was this RvB or Immersion?
or bolth?
This was an episode of Immersion, which will be released again on Sunday as an RvB episode Probably with an intro by Vic.
Mario pwnz u *bolf
Yes.
Lazy or brilliant - you decide.
"Press X to flip.......Wait?...........How do you do that?
When you flip the elephant tank
i wonder who did the slow motion at the end of the video
Is that sarcasm?
Obviously it would be Gavin.
jozef kalinowski
dude, you need to get your sarcasm detector fixed
Kazejito maybe they brought in dan the man
"So would you say you're familiar with writing a decent story?"
"I would say I'm moderately familiar."
I didn't know that a live action RvB series was something I wanted until now
Gavin really has graduated from Lab Rat to Cameraman.
Bradley D'souza I'm glad that I'm not the only one to notice that.
But... Guys... Spartans have genetic super strength, and their suits also increase their strength, which is why they need neural implants to control the suits! Also, now do "Hold X to flip Scorpion" then "Hold X to wait... How did you even... Nevermind. Hold X to flip Elephant."
Caboose could do it.
Joshua Malcolm And yet that doesn't explain how an ODST can do it too.
+Wogle Plot convenience
Wogle ODST are also genetically enhanced, but only enough to make them still feel human.
Joshua Malcolm Nope. ODSTs aren't augmented (in the Halo universe there MAY be a handful that are, but it's not part of the ODST selection/training process). It's one of the reasons some ODSTs despised the SPARTAN-IIs.
Wait...but in the slo mo at 6:30 the bobble head falls off but then when they show it later it stays on the warthog
They more than likely shot it at least twice.
Obviously it jumped back in.
Wolffang731 the would have reshot it several times to capture multiple angles
I think the 1st attempt was too much force and it flipped too much. The 2nd attempt, they made adjustments for the right flip they wanted. It looked like the 1st shot flipped almost completely back in its other side.
Wolffang731 THE POWER OF EDITING!!!!
It's been 5 years.
And yet,
The "god dammit" gets me every time.
Is 7 years now 😂
2:20 it's a Puma!
if Miles is Felix.... they should make him some Felix armor
and this shows just why we need a new season of immersion.
This is so freaking good. The production value, my god.
they forget Spartans are super soldiers.....
Let us just get an 8 year old. Train them for 10 years or so. Be sure to put them through painful surgery that may or may not kill them. Then aside that design advanced power armor and we'll get ourselves immersed right into it
miles aint no spartan
i know lol
The Reds aren't no Spartans either
@@camerontrivett3808 The reds don't flip over warthogs with their bare hands
I love how him lifting it on its own is like an animated scene from the actual show xD
You know, MythBusters is done, maybe you should bring in Adam and Jamie sometime. I'm sure they'd... have a blast. :D
did anyone stop to think that Spartans wear powered armor, so they have to strength to actually lift that...
They don't actually have the strength to move powered armor on their own. It's in the name: *powered* armor. They need an a.i. and increased reflexes to even stay in one piece while wearing it. Seen MatPat's game theory on why it's so easy to melee a Spartan to death?

It was a fake one they blew up. Not the real one
spartans can lift more than 37000 pounds of force!?!?!?!??!!?! well then....i guess getting punched by one is a death sentence on its own...
That's why melee kills are pretty lethal in Halo despite it normally just being a punch or hit.
is this rooster teeth or man at arms now?
Sven yes.
yes
Sven yep
yeah
yuup
I love the live action Red vs Blue thing going on here. We need some more of that.
No Gavino or Michelle? Damn :/
Starkiller100 i was really looking forward to seeing Michelle
Well Gavin was there, he filmed the slowmo stuff.
Michelle? haha
its Micoo dummy
Daniel Smith I'm only messing
Rooster teeth test canyon
Yes, a test canyon, we all have one of those
i honestly expected miles to be in a felix costume and did they really blow up the warthog
Judging by the bts footage preview we got that warthog became a burnt husk, so yes.
prob built a shitty scaled down version of it to blow up
GamerTagShadow- they blew it up due to it not being street legal, but they were allowed to blow it up, so they blew it up because why not.
They've driven it on the street before in previous videos.
It was a painted wooden prop, which is why they had to reinforce it so it could roll in the first place. It never was a vehicle at all.
And now I want an actual Red Vs Blue live action mini-series.
Use your back damnit. Everyone know's the back's the strongest muscle in the body. What your bleeding? You just need some orange juice.
All seriousness we need more live action episodes of Red vs Blue. That would be so awesome.
SnowHawk7 nice
Now picture this with jaune and a car
Undeadavenger that's what I did
NOOOO WHY DID THEY BLOW UP THE ROOSTER TEETH WARTHOG??
K R no, they actually blew it up. They talked about it at an RTX panel. Basically, the warthog wasn’t street legal and it wasn’t really legal for them to keep it as well, so they decided to make content out of its “death”.
RT finally got it... everyone loves an explosion... and Gus. Explosions and Gus makes for lifetime subscribers. Well played RT.
but wait, aren't Spartans like genetically modified so they are way stronger than normal human strength
Pretty sure their armor does most of the heavy lifting, though it probably helps.
I think they are cyborgs. If i can remember correctly in the beginning of the first halo game, when you exit the pod it says "cyborg" on the floor.
Linus I don't think they're cyborgs, at least not in the traditional sense. Besides more superficial features like neural implants their augments are mostly biological I think. They don't have robot parts at least.
3's also have augmentations. Only S4's are ''normal'' people.
What about in Halo 3 ODST when even ODST's can flip Warthogs and Scorpions
HOLY CRAP!!!!! THEY FLIPPED IT IN PERFECT SYNC WITH THE GAME FOOTAGE!!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
They need to make a real life RvB movie!
I like it how they flipped it twice because if you look the bobble head falls out in the cinematic frame but on the other it stayed part of the car
One of the best immersions by far, I hope you guys keep making astounding content, thanks for the vid and keep up the good work!
You flipped it at least twice :P You can't fool me.
Juane Arc is probably not the best choice for a brute force job. Shoulda picked Nora...
Vales55 (cough) Yang (cough)
Hungry Saiyan574 The challenge was for Miles/Juane to lift the Warthog by himself. Yang would need someone else to...give her a hand...
Vales55 God dammit Barb!
Nora would probably just tap it with her hammer and send it flying
Well she can bench five of herself even before powering up with electricity so probably yeah.
*Warthog blows up*
Me: why are we still here just to suffer
1. You forgot to take into account that Spartans have increased strength 2. It looks more like a puma to me.
This was so great! Scratched that old Myth Busters itch haha. Good job guys!
im confused, is this supposed to be a season 14 episode ?
Yeah, they had to cut back on the animating budget for RvB just to keep RWBY afloat.
how do you know that
I think if I'm not wrong this was an immersion they weren't very fond of. They mentioned that it was drowned with money and health and safety regulations so it didn't feel like a proper immersion. I'm just paraphrasing off the RT podcast
TwinkiePlays no its just an rvb themed episode of immersion.
TwinkiePlays yea this counts as an actual episode
DUDE!!!!! PERFECT SYNC WITH THE GAME!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!

sorry, but the only wood is see is a bit at the back for someone to sit, would be unnecessarily heavy to use steel for that
You can still keep it though.
holy crap did they actually blow up the warthog

Yes
No

Of course :)

marcus and the effects team are awesome, they deserve all the love the rest of the staff gives them
Miles should've worn Felix's armor
The Milester Chief. The protector of Rooster Teeth and all her Productions. A true hero.
Huh, the slow-motion stuff reminded me of the Slow Mo Guys. Really cool channel you guys should check it out.
Fangtorn Gavin is part of RT
Kat Z that's the joke
Gavin did the slow mo on this so yeah, its technically a slow mo guys thing :3
Gavin filmed it with his Phantom camera.
Kat Z No, Gavin is British and Rooster Teeth is based somewhere in Texas.
Now all I want are regular live action Red vs. Blue episodes.
Isn't he a little short for a Spartan?
Ya know what also helps with flipping a warthog in the game? That the person doing it is a super soldier and not just a guy wearing colored armor. Also, what would've made it better was if Sarge hit Grif for no reason

Not to be picky, but a real Spartan would basically have superhuman strength and flipping the car would be easier...
Yeah, but where are we going to find a genetically modified super soldier in real life?
Simple: in Russia
Yeah but immersion isn't about doing video game things with video game characters. It's about trying video games antics in real life.
When Miles turned the steering wheel at 3:52, I cracked up. This is great.
in one shot the bobblehead flies of the dash & in the next shot its glued down
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
Jake Pama DYY!! DYY!!
That broke my immersion.
I love how cinematic that episode was, but you guys are crazy getting that Warthog just to blow it up!
Only Sarge has the correct looking armor on. Wtf?
Even then, Sarge's undersuit is sticking out at the end.
I really think that if they were going to use Miles for this, he should have been wearing Felix's armor.
Just because it looked kind like Simmon's or Sarge's, I thought it was going to be Gus or Matt behind the helmet.
How far they've come since Season one of Immersion.
season one was better
I think season 2 was best though, personally, but then again Gavin and Michael are my favourites out of the AH crew so I'm biased.
Greg Sanders nothing beats Geoff sarcasm and Gus' cynicism.
Colonel_Shrek Gavin's idiocy and Michael's rage works better for me.
Next time: flip a 90 ton Scorpion tank! Also these guys should be the next Mythbusters.
Why did I just get a notification for this?
Nizzle Prizzle same?
Barely a minute into the video and I'm already laughing! These guys are geniuses!!
7:46 Amazing but a waste in some regard material-wise
slow motion scene, courtesy of the slow mo guys--
Thought they meant a real flip, in motion.
They should make a live action RvB.
Red vs Blue needs to be remade in live action!
Blaine could have flipped it.
that intro was something special
Felix just flip it ffs
This deserves so many more views.
I wonder who did the warthog bomb slowmo..........
Dan the man
I love how this is technically both season 4 of Immersion as well as season 14 of Red vs Blue.
should have used blaine to flip that warthog!
No we need to get miles in the suit you fool
I DEMAND MORE LIVE ACTION RVB
I thought that faulty power steering was bull. I think a spartan could drive w/o power steering just through sheer strength.
Haze ya, but they just have armor and basic ones at that. I don't think they would give super strength or power armor to literal space marine rejects
Giant Dad The Reds you see in the Vid are not Spartans.
They're Simulation Troopers from RvB.
Is that Sarcasm?
I really Don't know if you're being Sarcastic or not.
If you're not being sarcastic then go watch some Red vs Blue.
Someone (I forgot who) Revealed to the Reds (The same ones in the vid) and Blues that they were just Simulation Troopers.
