been binge watching your video since I got my 2nd hand guitar 3 days ago and damn I am learning a lot as a beginner without any knowledge when I started hope I can be your student though
I was always mildly interested in your shorts when they happened to appear in my recommended, but since I despise short-form content I mostly stayed away. THIS RIGHT HERE IS TERRIFIC! I have never felt as motivated to get up and practice as I do now and the advice is solid. Keep it up
"you're probably not that stupid". Brandon just gave us a backhanded compliment. But I know the REAL brandon would never do that. This is a video by big cigarettes made in order to get you comfortable. GET OFF THE CIGARETTES.
This is some of the best content I’ve seen made specifically for building guitar skills and not only playing a ripoff solo or “how to play exactly like someone else shit”. It’s very much appreciated 💚 You can’t not love this
i only now realized this, but something about your videos is so inherently good old youtube- bare, not overbearing editing while still funny and pointed enough to kind of drive home the points- thanks for the highly educational content!
Really appreciate you taking the time to tab out all your examples in these long form videos. It is incredibly helpful to hear the line, see you fingers, and be able to read along in tab. It helps solidify the shapes and I can learn even if I'm not holding my guitar.
Man, I’ve been playing guitar for decades and never heard of you. What a breath of fresh air! Love the insults as they are correct. I’m guilty of playing the boxes and then my tricks, and repeating them. The sustained bend is just a way to dramatize what I’m about to do again. (This time, much faster and more impressive.) Yawn. I suppose some of us naturally know how to build tension and expectation, and know how to let the listener know it’s not at the breaking point yet. And I expect I’m not fooling anyone. But most times I do. It’s a bar, everyone is drunk and yes, cigarettes everywhere. So they’re easily impressed. I learned from you in just a few minutes what I hadn’t learned at all since the 70’s. Now it’s time to apply it before I keel over for whatever mysterious reason. For younger folks than I, you’re an honest Godsend my friend. You’re a phenomenal teacher. Keep up the great work. Just subscribed.
Over a Blues with 3 Dominant 7 chords, 1-3-5-b7 are the “safe” chord tones; then 2-b3-4-b5-6 are notes from Mixolydian and the Blues scale which all together comprise the 9 most “inside” notes. The last 3 of the 12, b2-b6-7, can be used in chromatic lines that resolve.
Really enjoyed the video Brandon! I’ve been playing awhile,(30+years), and I still learn new stuff! I enjoy your teaching style and appreciate you helping these f@ckin noobs!😅
This is really a step up in quality. You didn't even see the typo in this vid! It all meakes sense. i humbly request a video on how to learn to play 16th speed like that.
Hey brandon..Is it possible to bend upto 3 semitones on the high E string in a Stratocaster without breaking the string???In my Yamaha pacifica ..on bending 3 half steps the high E string breaks...
I've probably watched all your short vids, really love the content. I gotta ask though, If someone were to get into your 52 wk course, will you be doing the yelling nonsense in them? Lol, while it's funny sometimes, it's getting a bit played out. No offense, I really like your vids! 🤘
Oh C’mon! You all are perfectly capable of writing solos such as Stairway to Heaven and Hotel California or Sultanas of Swing and That Smell double lead guitar parts in harmony and unison such as No One Like You These solos are no problem whatsoever for you. Right? 😂 ❤
@Write-brandondeon1 Of course I however busted my ass to learn how to play that stuff and it was all worthless as now I am playing with a Jazz band with horn players kicking my sorry ass every gig !
Hello, I’ve been playing guitar for 2 weeks now. I wanted to ask if u can recommend me a plan how I should practice. I have now learned the basic accords and can play a bit “Hey Joe by Hendrix” Could u give me please a tip how I can best use the 1 hour a day ?? Because sometimes it feels like iam playing around and it has no real use. Thanks 🙏🏻
Yeah, please keep doing it,I like the good cop/bad cop approach. I respond quite well to vitriolic random insults, much better than the Mr nice guy thing. The content is pretty damn good, uniquely so, even my dense brain is absorbing some of it. I can't insult you back, you're too good a player (Grrrr...)
Hi Brandon, I gonna ask you a stupid question and no offence please. Is that a real Fender? I learned that the logo "Fender" on the headstock is never underneath the strings. I'm confused now.
Your short form stuff is very good but the long form is better. Either way, as long as you keep calling me a bitch and reminding me to stay off the cigarettes, I’m happy.
I actually kinda liked the part where you were playing "wrong notes..." to each their own I suppose... For me I think the main thing is losing the rhythm and groove of the song-if you lose that then even "right" notes won't sound good!
tldr: solos aren't just notes, they're songs within songs, and songwriting and storytelling ability apply to solos as well. also learn more scales and get better at playing lol noob
Both versions of the 1st solo sucked there was no tension and definitely no resolve. Not sure if you are the one to be trying to show how to phrase melodicly when you don't have any melody sorry bud get better !

The 2nd one sounded very Satchy and saucy
been binge watching your video since I got my 2nd hand guitar 3 days ago and damn I am learning a lot as a beginner without any knowledge when I started hope I can be your student though
Damn I literally couldn't tell, they were both so complicated
The first one was cooler
honestly both sound good as fuck
Brandon D'Eon is the greatest teacher I've ever watched. Doesn't overcomplicate, but says it as it is.
I gotta say I’m very much enjoying the longer form content. I can tell that you’ve been putting in the effort.
1:48 That got me cracked up 😂. Never thought i’d see Brandon laugh
As a woman, I can confirm that i'm, in fact, not a woman
I was always mildly interested in your shorts when they happened to appear in my recommended, but since I despise short-form content I mostly stayed away.
THIS RIGHT HERE IS TERRIFIC! I have never felt as motivated to get up and practice as I do now and the advice is solid. Keep it up
But Lux Æterna doesn't follow this
Outstanding👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
lmao (i think the solo is ok, i hope ppl start insulting me and calling me a bag of pickle sandwiches bcuz i like it lmao)
@@CliffBurtonhatesHazbinHotel ur such a bag of pickle sandwich😤
YES, HE KNOWS 🙄
@@CliffBurtonhatesHazbinHotel Amazing username btw
"you're probably not that stupid".

The real Brandon? He wouldn't even post this. 😂
It has me PISSED OFF! but im not even mad
real brandon wouldn't laugh
I love the new long form videos, keep up the amazing and hard work!

Signals Music Studio is another channel I highly recommend if you want to learn more about the music theory side of things.
i only now realized this, but something about your videos is so inherently good old youtube- bare, not overbearing editing while still funny and pointed enough to kind of drive home the points- thanks for the highly educational content!
Dammmn, how is this man don't have a 10 million subs? I think is very f*cking good information, and I like that.
Really appreciate you taking the time to tab out all your examples in these long form videos. It is incredibly helpful to hear the line, see you fingers, and be able to read along in tab. It helps solidify the shapes and I can learn even if I'm not holding my guitar.
Probably the best guitar (not song) teacher on the internet.
I can always take something away from your videos. you're a great teacher!! Cheers brandon 🎸🤘
Congrats to that guy who’s been asking Brandon to play Am every day
Definitely liking the longer videos form, keep the good work Brandon🤘
thx man. helped me a lot cuz I usually just play as many notes as I can and it sounds too "forgettable"
These videos have been getting better and better specially the editing Keep it up
Really high quality especially for a 15 minute video, great job & keep up the good work.
Love these videos. It’s like having bonus content with the 52Week Guitar course!
Man...
Just want to say. I'm an amateur bassist (GASP!) and I never miss one of your videos. Amazing content! Keep it coming

i suggest you to watch his video of twelve days ago, How to Improvise Solos on Guitar THE HARD WAY (which is not hard, just needs consistency)
I like both this form of content and how you straight to the point
Been loving and learning a lot from these new longer vids, keep doing them pls 🙏

I do really like these longer videos ^^
Still the best teach here. Brandon, thanks for the great detailed videos, you are awesome.
defo like the longer vids
Excellent video to help me improvise solo better. Gotta get practicing those scales!
Really enjoyed the video Brandon! I’ve been playing awhile,(30+years), and I still learn new stuff! I enjoy your teaching style and appreciate you helping these f@ckin noobs!😅
Love the long format videos! Just found you and I’m learning a lot. I’m not as advanced as I need to be to even gain anything from the course sadly.
I liked the video. Gives good ideas for an intermediate player like myself stuck trying to solo!!
I loved thank you very very helpful MORE PLEASE SIR
I like these long videos. Thanks, Keep it up.
Yes please keep up with long form content
Great, great lesson! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great content
Brilliant! Loved this. Lots to take away and build awesome solos with. If I could just get off the cigarettes...
Laughing my ass off at 3:12 because this is me 😂. Brilliant video, gave me loads to think about
You are crazy. Very good.
My guitar isn't out of tune, I'm just adding microtonal embellishments to create tension
Refreshing.
I'm glad I don't need to escape the pentatonic box. Cause I can't even improvise anything in it... which might be a bigger issue... BUT STILL😂😂
Brandon you are a bad ass bro! I really love the way you explain things, you are black and white, because you tell it like it is don't ever change 😂
Great video
I dig the longform
Muito bom... valeu demais! Ganhou mais um inscrito 😎😎🎸
Cool vid, will review frequently
dam the more i know the more there is to know and im hungry for knowledge. im surprised on how easily i understood! guitar journey through the roof!!
I love the insults so much
Eccentric rude gifted teacher.I like his gift from God ie the guitar 🎸

Can i ask what fender telecaster is that?
he answered in one of his shorts. this is kinda ultra fender with noiseless pickups
Fender American Ultra Telecaster in Mocha Burst color
this guy can shred
Good job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😄 😀
Great lesson. Been using diagonal pentatonic shape for years. Annoying question time : What string gauges and tuning are you using on your Telecaster?
Oh C’mon! You all are perfectly capable of writing solos such as Stairway to Heaven and Hotel California or Sultanas of Swing and That Smell double lead guitar parts in harmony and unison such as No One Like You

9:50 how did ur guitar sounded like that, like it's so good in solos, is it in the amp?

I want to be able to play slow but really melodic Solos like Knocking on heavens Door
The second solo had to be the more composed one but damned if I wasn’t enjoying the hell out of it..
Keep doing the long form videos.. it works…
Shiiii this Is a good video
I come here to get yelled at. If I get better at guitar in the process, it's like icing on the cake. 😂😜
Brandon is to guitar what Glenn Fricker is to metal production
Sometimes the American and Canadian accents sound the same. But sometimes you shine through and I’m reminded
Yeah, please keep doing it,I like the good cop/bad cop approach.

3:11 is so accurate😂
Why you dont have 4 million subs is beyond me. People are stupid, I blame cigarettes.
9:20 I think the second one is composed. Hard to tell. It seems to follow more of a formula to sound good on a record
are all these applicable for acoustic guitar too. I find it hard to solo on mine
Yes but acoustic is a different animal. The theory is the same though
@@joebermuda6452 thanks dude
did he finally play A minor?
1,000th like! BAM! Nailed it!
Hi Brandon, I gonna ask you a stupid question and no offence please. Is that a real Fender? I learned that the logo "Fender" on the headstock is never underneath the strings. I'm confused now.
first time i’ve ever seen this man break character💀 1:47
1:04 Nazaré Tedesco
The solo of Lux Æterna gives me tension but no release.
One, is composed.
im self taught and i was playing diagonally without even knowing it
👍👍👍👍👍
I tried this but had premature cool down.
Are you on the run? There is a certain restlessness in your way of talking that takes away some quality...
ALL GUITARISTS SMOKE CIGARS, NOT CIGARETTES
DO YOUR HOMEWORK
I like ze videos
A lot of intermediate players struggle to play diagonally…BECAUSE THEIR ON CIGARETTES! 😂😂
“Women love climaxes” 😂😅😂😂😂😂
Your short form stuff is very good but the long form is better. Either way, as long as you keep calling me a bitch and reminding me to stay off the cigarettes, I’m happy.
