Fun fact, the HR rep, Toby (who Michael kicked out) isn't even an actor. He's a writer for the series and his general lack of acting experience sends the awkwardness of his scenes over-the-top. It's perfect casting.
I guess some of them had more experience or at least pursued it after The Office, but Mindy Kaling (Kelly), BJ Novak (Ryan) and Michael Schur (Mose) (maybe I am forgetting someone else) were also mainly writers for the show, but apparently Greg Daniels thought they should also be part of the show to experience what the actors are going through and to create a stronger bond between writers and actors.
@@kenavr Novak was actually only supposed to be a writer, but John Krasinski (Jim) was one of his childhood friends, and convinced production to give him the temp role, which was actually supposed to go away after a couple episodes, but they liked Ryan’s character so much they kept him on.
@@alexjames4770 John is also, himself, a small actor by that point, so it says a lot that he could convince them to add Novak.
Reminds me of Stu from the movie What We Do in the Shadows.
Good to know that he at least became a successful writer in real life
I think this is the last time Kelly actually acts like an adult professional.
Diversity day broke her
What was the joke when Micheal says to Kelly.. If you leave we will have two left.
@@rishikumar2140 It meant everyone else was white except her and 2 other people in the office at the time
To be fair diversity day is probably in the top five most cringiest episodes of the show. If you can handle diversity day you guys will be fine LOL
It is still miles away from the episode that shall not be named haha.
@@layedbackthomas hehehe to be honest, I get absolute Joy showing new people THAT episode for the first time 🤣
@@layedbackthomas I get shivers just thinking about it, lmaooooo
Scott’s Tots is the worst for me personally
@@infinite-sadness by far the worst
"googi googi" is supposed to be Michael Scott imitating an Indian accent saying "cookie cookie" lol
Yeah I always took it as him saying cookie cookie with an accent. I've never heard it referred to as googi googi.
@@joevictor53 It's because that's what the subtitles said. I've always heard it as "cookie cookie" too, but they were trying to figure it out based on the subs.
Oh I thought googi googi was an Indian street cuisine LOL
@@sangriad.938 That would be giving Michael Scott a lot of credit, to know an Indian street food, lol.
20:20 HR got kicked out of the room 🤣. Michael Scott's hate of Toby is always hilarious and provides some of the hardest laughs of the series.
and its also pretty sad because toby reminds michael of his dad
Toby is the Scranton Strangler.
Man that Toby hate bruhhhhhhh to hilarious 😂😂😂

Gooooooodbye Toby !!!!!
Wow. Jim lost a client that gets him 25% of his yearly commission and it's "not a bad day" for him because Pam rested her head on his shoulder while sleeping. My guy's smitten.
Yep… Being smitten slaps hard.
That's literally all it takes sometimes
No he didn’t lose it. Dwight cares about the company so he called Jim’s client back and got the client back by offering a discount. That’s why Jim put a little bottle as a gift for dwight at the end of the episode.
@@ngocnguyen-pp5wl I did not say Dunder Miflin lost the client, I said Jim lost the client. Which he did, to Dwight.
@@Bdawg. do you think the honorable top salesman Dwight needs to steal client from Jim? That’s not his character. He’s an idiot but he plays fair. He cut Jim’s phone call off so he course corrected it by calling the client back and offer a discount so Jim would get his client back. That’s why Jim thanked him by giving him a gift by putting it on Dwight’s table at the end there. Dwight cares for the company too much to sabotage anyone. And if Jim does not have the client he does not have the bonus, and Dwight would never do that to Jim.
This made me laugh so hard. It’s making me feel like I’m watching it for the first time again! Thanks for starting this series guys!
Honestly one of my favorite episodes despite only being the second. It's so great. I've never seen a reaction until now so it's even better!
The satire in season 1 is some of the best I've seen in a TV show. Watching this episode gave me flashbacks to the cringe "training" I experienced in the office environments I've worked at.
The best, most subtle joke in this episode: Michael to Toby "This is an environment of welcoming, and you should just get the hell out of here"
Soon they’ll be afraid of how much they love Michael Scott
Yeah I don’t get how they thought he was annoying😭 that’s the point lmao he’s funny as fuck
The best comment 😂
@@duffal0yeah. I love him. He’s such an honest and genuine guy. He’s not racist or hateful to anybody else. He’s just ignorant.
They’ll cry in Yk what episode :,)
finally, The Office is back! this should've been uploaded twice a week.
Yeah, at this rate, they're literally gonna reach the finale in 2025
@@MM-vs2et litterly😂
Though I have watched The Office 7 times, seeing people watching the office for first time, makes me feel like I am watching it for the first time. Thanks guys.
Fun fact: the man who plays Mr. Brown is also the writer of the episode.
“How is there more than one season?” Idk dawg maybe cause people think this shit is funny af and yall dont have humour
Their afraid of their own audience. Anything beyond a knock knock joke requires constant virtue signaling to appease a certain segment of their viewers.
The hate Michael has for HR is all you need to know about diversity…
About the cringe: Sometimes I had to remind myself this is a show, and they are actors.
It really wasn’t that cringe imo
@@duffal0 I mean as the seasons advance, so does the cringe
@Darkstar exactly. I can definitely see how people find it cringe, but to me besides the “googy googy” part, none of it was cringey, it was more awkwardly funny.
@@duffal0 yea this one isn't so cringy compared to many other Office episodes like Scott's Tots which is almost unbearable (one of my favorite episodes)
@@Dell-ol6hb why is that though, why is Scott’s Tots that cringey for people?
This is my favorite episode.
Fun fact: John Krasinski (Jim Halpert) said he's never laughed harder in his life than when they were filming this episode.
People say this first season wasn't great but I laughed throughout the entire season. I love it!
This is still one of my favorite episodes. "Abraham Lincoln once said, 'If you are a racist, I will attack you with the North.' These are the principles I bring with me into the workplace."
edit after watching: I'm dead, you guys have a great reaction to this show.
It's so joyful to watch someone fall in love with The Office like is CLEARLY happening to Pat
Just two years ago this was on Netflix. I don’t understand why people say it couldn’t be aired now. How did we lose nuance in comedy? The office is hilarious, it won awards, loved around the world. Cancel culture and “non offensive” culture is toxic culture, it’s toxic to the very idea of nuance, and all forms of art, including comedy.
absolutely couldn’t stand Michael, but he will grow on you, you will love him very soon!
It's less that he grows on you and more that he changes
Oh boy I'm bracing myself for their reaction to episode 6 season 3...

I don’t even have the episode numbers memorized and I know that you’re referring to THAT episode
"Come to the cook out, give it a try." Chris setting up people to wind up in the hospital, lol
To be fair, he did say to choose who to say it around
remember everyone...it's just jokes...calm down.
“How is there more than one season?”
This was back when people weren’t sensitive twats.
Yall overuse this opinion, there’s a bunch of shows nowadays that are similar to shows back then when they went all out. Stop trying to act so different
no, The Office it's not offensive in this way
the office jokes about people like Michael, he is satire, a comical representation of a real life person, a caricature, a CHARACTER being Played.
Not a stupid stand up comedian who thinks "dark humor" means he can be REAL racist/misogynistic without regards.
There are many other shows like the office as well, and no one is offended by them, do u know why?
Because that's how you make dark humor.
dark humor can be enjoyed by everyone.
Exactly.
Suraj is Michael. Chris is Jim. Ketty is Pam. Mickey is Dwight. Confirmed. I’m glad you all are enjoying the show!
You still don’t know cringe. 🤣
I can definitely see Suraj as Michael lmao
Marketta is def Angela not Pam lmao
Mickey is definitely Dwight.
Pat is Kevin
You can't actively watch The Boys and keep saying "They couldn't make stuff like this anymore..."
THANK YOU LOL
Well the boys has very obvious political leanings while the office is apolitical satire.
I don't get cringed out easily like most people that's why I love this type of humor
its actually supposed to be cringey - and thats why i like it. obviously we're not supposed to laugh *with* michael or condone his actions, but we laugh at his sheer ignorance, bc its just so stupid.
@@puppycatsbeeI’m able to laugh at all 3 of those
you guys laughing at The Office is so contagious! I haven't laughed this hard at this episode in a long time ❤️
I've watched this show like 15 times, and it's still really enjoyable to watch these reactions. I hope you guys keep the large group for the entirity of the show.
These reactions have been amazing so far
I watched this when it originally came out… I don’t remember folks thinking this was edgy. A different world back then
Yeah and in the 1700s they'd be pissed off that black people were being paid and DARED spoke up against a white man.... yeah, that's how social progress works.
@@ryanthompson3737 calm down kid
Yep the use of internet is so vast which resulted in everyone's opinion to be heard out.
I think it's an america thing to cringe that much at that? I find it hilarious and Scott is just too much
No it’s not an American thing, these guys are all just super sensitive “woke” soy boy types, I think it’s pretty clear no? ;)
Are you from the UK or something?
Woke. And that is not a Fun Fact.
Im Nordic and cringe the fuck out of this show. But in a good way. Its so funny but its 2nd hand awkwardness. This show made cringe into something good.
Yeah i remember when I first started this show my jaw was dropped the whole time, I was laughing from discomfort because I laugh at awkwardness since I just live awkwardly lol. This episode is iconic though, and I love that early on they establish Michael as a comedy nerd.
I watched the office like 5 times and never found it cringe. I was too busy laughing.
These woke fools are humorless.
@@GeorgeEugeneBarrett they laughed through the entire thing tf you talking about
I don't why everyone says the 1st season is a lame copy of the British version and that it doesn't get going until the second season. Only the first episode was like that. This is one of the Office's classic episodes and the rest of the season is great too.
ive started to watch the office and boy i don’t regret it lmao
those looks are the most funny thing i’ve seen
im glad this kind of humor is spreading in my country with the more recent shows
I sprained my ankle at work today (tug of war incident ofc) and was laying in bed bored until I saw this video pop up! Can’t wait to see you guys’ reactions to future episodes!
Every Office fan knows this episode but I completely forgot it's episode 2. They was wild for this lol
I like how some of them are scared to say it’s funny
They all said it was funny, lol

Gotta have an open minded sense of humor to enjoy this classic show
Isn't it tiring to get offended about something that's clearly meant as a joke?
I sincerely love this Michael Scott. That acid humor and black humor is very good.
I understand that they changed his character from season 2 and he still seems like an almost perfect character to me. But without a doubt the Michael of season 1 is THE BEST.
It's very similar to his British version of Ricky who also uses that style of black humor, acid humor. How much I like it.
You must like the U.K. series more overall then?
That's why we're here; to laugh at you guys laughing at Pat laughing.
Wow, you guys have balls, showing the fantastic Office to a group of lefties. I'm surprised non of them cried and crawled into a ball. This lady however.....
Why would lefties not like the office?
@@TSGPhilipp Beacuse they are offended by everything and misconstrude comedy for real life. Not understanding parody or stereotype-comedy. Just look at the girl's sour face reactions....
she was offended when michael had the Martin Luther King sign lolol
This should be prioritized for your guys' upload, I would love to see these uploaded twice a week at least, I LOVE the office 😭
I don’t watch The Office, so I don’t know the character’s names, but the one (Dwight?) that said, “A hero kills people,” plays a superhero in James Gunn’s *Super* and kills people (I think). It’s also connected to *Brightburn* .
That's what I thought of when I saw him saying that.
Fun fact: James Gunn got Rainn Wilson (Dwight) to be in that film because his ex-wife Jenna Fischer (Pam) recommended him
Another great reaction Normies! Michael's antics during that seminar was wild!
The blonde women was looking for approval to laugh at the jokes. You can just tell she thinks the show is racist.
Y’all should never work on a construction site
We have something similar to Michael Scott’s type of diversity day, except it’s everyday 😂😂 just a bunch of mexicans, black people, and white people talking shit to each other all day😂😂 no one ever gets offended tho, the way it should be
I mean they're not construction workers, plus the way Michael acts isn't him talking shit, he genuinely thinks he's helping which is why it's cringe
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 I know, that’s why I said never do it 😂 I wasn’t trying to shit on them for it or anything, just pointing out how wildly different these different settings can be. What’s unintentional and cringe in an office setting is normal day to day stuff in other settings. I’ve seen this show in its entirety like 7 times so trust me, I’m not trying to shit on anyone for cringing 😂
Spidey lowkey triggered from this episode
I love the racist remark " pure white dude confidence.."most of us white dudes stand back and have comments like that thrown our way without a hint of irony. The episode is making fun of the people who think they aren't racist but are often the most racist person in the room. Racism doesn't have a color.
Great reaction! I laughed a lot with you. I can finally watch The Office with someone like I'm with friends.
Captain Ukraine in the middle there must really hate herself, lol.
the toby of youtube
The generation of comedy killers right here, afraid to laugh at a joke without scrutinising it
That’s basically everyone now and is why everything in entertainment has become sterile, sanitized and awful.
lol ikr, these reactors are very careful to laugh. even eyeing one another for offensive jokes
These woke fools are the epitome of cringe.
@Everett I can confirm that the wave of sanitisation is mainly an American thing. Sometimes for the good, other times for the bad. I'm Italian and here the comedy hasn't been really attacked by the new wave of comedy, which is very good, but it's also very bad because the past comedy we didn't steal from the British is dogshit.
@@thetreasurer7531 Nothing like you are describing happened here.
“Maybe some spaghetti?” That bit cracked me up 🤣
When he said how is it more than one season my thought was oh how things have changed!! I miss the old days of comedy
Look up "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Impressions" there's a 2 min video from IASIP on youtube where they go over the exact convo they had on doing impressions. Its also really funny
I’ve watched this series a bunch of times and it still makes me laugh. You guys made me laugh even harder this time!
love that you guys introduced your names lol im new to the channel and didn't know who micky was
I’ll forever be jealous that BJ Novak wrote this episode at the age of 25. Genius!
You need to understand, back then the office UK was the cool shit. So when they were making this first season, they wanted to make it as raunchy and as edgy as cringy as the UK version, because a lot of people are saying that they're gonna ruin it by making it too american. So season 1 was really they're trying to be "cool"
Larry Wilmore was actually one of the consulting producers that also wanted this to be as "cool" as the UK version.
too bad this humor is not allowed today.
Suraj. I now know why you are like my favorite. 1. Our birthdays are a day apart and 2. I have a short sleeve banana button up too! So glad you guys are doing the office btw. My all time favorite show
People need to remember how to laugh and stop getting so butt hurt over humor.
Woke culture
Been waiting since episode 1, love the reactions from The Normies. Normiecon is almost here
5 or 10 years ago that wouldn’t have been cringy cancel culture hadn’t made America a miserable place to live yet
Yall Need to put some respect on Larry Wilmore's name, he's more than a show on comedy central. look at his resume and how many of your fave shows he's written, he's approaching goat status

Keep in mind Sheldon Cooper ( Jim Parsons) is the reason Steve Carell never won an Emmy for his role as Michael Scott smh

Anyone realize that rashida jones who plays Karen, was in the chappelle show and it’d be hilarious if that’s who jim and Ryan were referring to

I couldn't watch this series when it first came out, because I was a HUGE fan of the BBC series back in 2004. I'd rewatch it all the time and knew the show almost by heart. I never watched the US series while it was broadcast. But since then I've realised that the US show became its own thing, with its own unique characters, and now I love it!
The only thing over the top in this video was the reactions of middle two xD
Hands down one of your guys' best reactions, was laughing my ass off just because all of you were laughing your asses off, so ty
God it's gonna be HILARIOUS to see you react to this show 😂😂
I realized after showing a couple people this episode that its not for the faint of heart. This is a HILARIOUS episode but you have to be into this certain type of humour which is more “uncomfortable”.
(But isnt it progression to train yourself to be ok with discomfort) food for thought.
WE NEED MORE OF THE OFFICE!
People are too sensitive these days.
Maybe you only feel that way because you’re too sensitive towards other people’s opinions
My ex loved the Office and I couldn't get into it...when I tried to watch alone it felt more like a docu-series than comedy, but watching a group watch it there is a lot more energy to the funny...Larry Wilmore is a great content creator with a unique approach
Oh man... this is the perfect marriage of reactioners to tv show episode ever.
Love your content and ... oh boy. Never stop laughing and cringing. Man can't wait until you watch DINNER PARTY.
One of the funniest comments nobody gets: At the end Michael the Boss tells Oscar the gay Mexican character: “Buena Vista”! as he leaves. Buena Vista is a town in northeast Mexico. It was the site of a American victory over the Mexican army in the Mexican American war of the 1840s. To Oscar and all Mexicans that would be an immense insult.
Do they provide footage for the full length reactions?
I’ve always thought Michael was saying Cookie-cookie but subtitles now taught me it was googi-googi which makes even less sense
Oh goodness y'all are over sensitive. 🙄 One of the funniest shows ever! 😊❤️
When Michael got slapped and he tried to keep himself from crying was one of the funniest moments of The Office. Top 3!!
