HI. My iphone X don't work with RODE SC4 + DDJ SB3. First i connecting lightning to RODE 4pin. After that connecting to my iphone. But mic still working. No aux in activated. Do you have any ideas what's went wrong? Thanks.
On my iPhone 11 is not working with sc4 and rca cable... the sound comes from the internal microphone not from my console ... anyone knows ?

The problem with Instagram Live (aside from Copyright issues) is that most people will only tune in for a few minutes because they want to use their phones to do other things as well. IG doesn't have a play-audio-in-background process like Twitch or UA-cam does. So it's only worth using to let your followers know you're streaming and pin a comment that links them to another platform.

You can set the Roland GO up into a headphone-charger-splitter cable to allow it to charge. Not ideal and another thing in between you and the music but worth a shot if you have one already and want to save the $30 difference between the Evermix or just like the Roland GO's features.

Is irig2 not better?
Same here. I was searching everywhere for days for some answers as to how to do it with my SB3 and also be monitoring it thru my speakers. I did go out and get the irig2 but it didn't solve the problem of having go thru my speakers. So yeah thank you for this.
@@teztezza2202 irig2 works perfect. Had it for a couple days now. If you have a controller with only one master out you will not be able to monitor thru your speakers. I have been using my headphone input as a monitor. Was tricky at first but I got the hang of it. I didn't think of this at first but you can buy an rca splitter so to plug both irig2 and speakers into the master out
The only problem I have is when I live stream thru Facebook it kicks me off cause of copyright protections. How can I bypass this

We haven't found any particular platform to be better than another YET. We are still trying different sites so we may be able to feedback on this soon.

just buy the shure adapter and use rcas with a passive cable and it works too, saved you money!

I got the SC4, plugged it in like it was shown in the video, and tested all the levels. When I tried to record a video on my phone I didn’t hear anything from my mixer on my phone, and I also could hear everything in the video as if it wasn’t connected to anything in the first place even though it was
On my Mac I can stream live on Facebook from my Roland DJ 202 when I chose it instead of the built in microphone.
Works like a charm.

An historical artefact now; they had to push a lot of these types of devices quick because of covid dj’s, probably didn’t sell that many on the grand scale of things so, makes it more collectable 🤔

Great video! Will you guys put out any tutorials for streaming to a broadcast service like Mixlr? Or going through something like BUTT to a server such as Zeno radio?
I tried the free trial of mixlr last week, couldn't be easier to set up if you're using a controller. I'm experimenting with a few ideas but mixlr is best/easiest so far imo and no issues with copyright.
Dan Hitchcock there is no support in Mixlr for my SB3. I’ve tried it. It doesn’t connect
I don't use the SB3 but when I installed the mixlr app it gave me the option of my controller as the input. Obviously different for you, I'm no expert but I do have what might be a silly question... Did you have the mixlr app on the same computer as your SB3 was connected to? I only ask as I did have a dedicated streaming laptop and had the same issue as you until I put it all on the same computer.
Great video!!! I just purchased the Roland GO mixer! However, I use a pioneer ddjsx2 and I plan on using RCA from master to 3.5 or 1/4 to Roland GO than my iPhone 8. shall it all workout?
Yep that would work fine. Master 2 RCA to 3.5mm jack into the roland go!

You can also use the iRig 1 or 2 in the exact way as the evermix

Or you can also use the Booth Output on your controller (if available) with an aux cord directly to your phone ? This way you can also control your master volume and booth / recording volume

My speakers are connected to a yamaha stereo mixer as well as my DJ Controller(Hercules Inpulse 300). The outputs in the back is similar to the DDJ-SB3. How would I hook up the Roland mixer with this type of connection.
Does the Roland Go solution work with the DJM900NXS2 or Allen & Heath 92 and DB4?

I have a Ddj 400 is the sound okay with splitters as read it comes out mono or I’m best going for the Roland if so how do I just record audio if I don’t want to stream?
Can you do the 3rd option and just simply record the set with your Iphone. So just basically video record the set and will the sound be there?

You'd have to use a laptop to broadcast the stream, you can't use the Behringer with a phone

Will the evermix app work for live streaming on an iPhone with the Twitch iPhone app? Or is it only for Facebook live and insta? Anybody tested that out? Interested to know before I lay out the money for it.
My set is up a kind of weird, but what about using RCA Y-splitters off my Mixer's RCA output, run 1 RCA lead to my stereo, and the other spliced RCA with an RCA to 3.5mm adapter, and 3.5mm to my iphone w/ lightning adapter, this should work right?

Really nice this roland mixer! How it deals with volume? I'm trying to connect my master 2 from my mixer (djm 450) to my phone with an old nokia rca to a trs 3.5, but it sends a lot of signal, distorting my sound. I can prevent this decreasing my master volume and live gain to10/15%, but this way i can't get enough volume on my monitors. This roland make the signal control to the phone?
The Roland has a volume control for the input and then a volume control for your speakers. What ever level you set the speakers too, it won't affect the feed into the phone. That's always at the input level you set, in LINE level. It's the MIC level that your Phone boosts it to thats currently causing you issues!
I love the topic of this video but have a few questions. How are you using your laptop with your SB3 here to play songs? I’m using the DDJ 400 and I’m unsure how I would connect my laptop and redirect the audio signal in the Rekordbox app. Also I connect my speaker to my laptop directly (via AUX, they have no RCA) so does this not work? Lastly are you able to mix with headphones since you’re splitting the signal? Sorry if these are simple questions, I’m rather new to mixing but produce mostly. Cheers!
This method just takes the feed coming out of the controller. If you want to use your laptop to stream from, we have a new video explaining this. Headphones will work just fine :) Thanks :)

Hi guys, very useful video, but I have some problems with the SC4 method. I connected the cables and adapters as shown in the video, but my iphone (SE 2020) does not record the sound coming from the controller, but only that of the external environment. Can you help me? do i need to download any drivers or apps?

HELPP!! I use a ddj sb3 controller( one audio rca output) and Ihave the Irig 2, I connect the rca to the irig and sounds perfect on my phone, but I want to listen what I play live on my speakers too, how would I do that??
If Evermix is plugged into record, will it give line level sound whilst streaming, as in no background noises be picked up?
