In this video tutorial I demonstrate a super easy way to apply sprinkles / hundreds and thousands onto a buttercream cake and how to assemble a 2 tier cake.
This cake is super cute for any childs (or adults *wink) birthday party. Your kids can help attach the sprinkles too as it is a pretty easy and almost damage proof cake to decorate.

I am working on making this cake. If I were to put the sprinkles on, could I store it in the freezer for a few days? or would all the sprinkles come off as they thawed out?

thanks +Rula Zakaria for the awesome feedback :) the cake I used is tripple the recipe in this video, you just need to times it by 3 (you may get a little bit extra but I usually just make the excess into cupcakes x):

I realize this is an old post, and you've probably made the cake by now, but for anyone else looking, you can google jumbo straws or smoothie straws or Boba straws and you can find them anywhere from Amazon, to Wal-mart, to even the dollar store for cheap. You can also find other supports like wooden or plastic dowels and rods to help support a tiered cake which you can find at craft stores or anywhere cake making goods are sold.

wonderfully beautiful! I have a request is there anyway you could do a full tutorial on filling crumb coating and final smooth ice a square cake? I am trying to learn, my passion is cake decorating. I am also one of the weird people who LOIVE watching people frost cakes. I have trouble with square cakes and unfortunately there are not many videos dedicated to frosting a square cake..if there is any. they are fast forwarded through and not able to see techniques and stuff. if possible to make a video along those lines I would be so grateful. thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us.
