The router page (under VPN) tab seems to be have only two options : 1) VPN server and 2) Multiple VPN server connection. I am with NordVPN and trying look for VPN client option. Sorry, not sure. The ideal placement is at the middle of the house. That's confirm can cover. If can't do so, get 2 units of AX55. One at the front door, next one at the middle of the house.

Yes, ISP controls your Internet speed. But higher router speed is great for local content from NAS. So I use iPerf3 for benchmark instead of Internet speed test.

Better range and speed than the free ISP bundled one. Unless your ISP gives you a great router, else always invest your own good one. You won't regret it!

Yes. Gaming function should work as well. Yes, can use LAN cable. Even better this way.
