    Awesome job Coach Ross...in a short time, you brought back Tenn Track & Field into relevance. Most don't understand the work ethic of great sprinters, so thanks for providing a window into our arena.

    So she pulled up in SEC 100 final hope it’s just a cramp and not a hammy pull

    • @boringlifeofateen
      @boringlifeofateen 25 днів тому +12

      I don't think it was a pulled hammy due to her still being able to walk properly after the race. Her coaches need to tell her to relax while sprinting because she's going to increase her chances of injury when running so tense.

      @@boringlifeofateen You took the words out of my mouth. She was so tense in that final. If she can learn to relax into her top-end she'll be consistently 10.8 and below.

    The one thing I notice is there is a lot of rocking side to side when they run, even when they start it looks like a football run instead of a straight line.

      @@cwhiting any one with a shred of knowledge knows what goes into a Duane Ross program.
      Nevertheless, those obvious truths aside, this is crazy volume. Essentially the demands they were put through was like 8 x 60m and then 3 x 200m at RPE at all 90% and above.
      He claims it's 90 % "effort" which is absolutely meaningless because effort is measurable.
      It's incredible to me that folks like this can get a job not only with their unawareness but also their sketchy history both as athlete AND COACH.
      Oh and this obsession with "letting the knee hang" lol....wtf.
      Dude no, that' has more to do with EXTENSION from toe off from the ground leg.
      You don't lengthen stride length by arbitrarily letting the 'knee hang'

    • @cwhiting
      @cwhiting 24 дні тому +1

      @@AnsonCooper damn, I wonder why he was coach NCAA coach of the year....at a small hbcu. Was that a fluke?
      He just happened to get talented sprinters?
      Volume was crazy? Did they complete all the reps? Didn't he shut some down based on the effort they were able to give?
      Letting the knee hang aka not trying to force it down. Let gravity do it's job instead of stomping.
      What part of the season was this? Do you know the entire program setup? Or are you making assumptions based on one workout video?
      Is his athletes running slower?
      Sounds toe like you just don't like him.

    *These printers need to work on their arm swings, those crazy wide swings aren't favorable for maximum speed sprinting, the arms need to closer to the body with shorter pumping action like boxing short upper cut movement while increasing leg stride. I Know What I'm Talking About!*
