This is super late, but after 20ish solo games of this there's a rule I've missed, and might help others.
So, the Die will never take a Tile with a Chronicle icon out of the game.
It makes a big difference for me.

This was fantastic, thanks for the playthrough :) This is a game I've wanted forever (ever since I saw an old playthrough of the original), but it's just so dang expensive ! I'll have to save up for the holidays. Looks like a fantastic implementation of a solo mode, if a little extremely difficult :)

Great playthrough! Can't wait to get my copy of this. I highly suggest adding in Chronicle 6 for better landmark cards, adds some really nice decisions.
This was great to watch. Thanks for taking the time to film this. I thought you had her until she started sopping up all that stone in the D round (starting around 43:00). She scored at the far end of her her range for this level, so also a bit of bad luck there. In Sticks and Stones, Town Square Statue is quite powerful for her since she doesn''t need to spend to gain the VP.

Good to see a solo play through of that chronicle because there's a lot to consider....and I want to play that one for the first time today.
I played 11 games with different chronicles over the last days and won 7....mostly on normal mode (wont try on difficult or higher). So MacNificent is hard but not unfair.
If you would play a little slower you would...
a) ...not miss some things and play everything correctly
b) ...take better decisions.
I dont like watching play throughs that take forever, but I'm also no fan of watching a bunch of tiny little mistakes due to rushing. ;-)

I’d recommend making some videos yourself - watching them back you’d be astounded at some of the mistakes you’d make 🙂
This just might push me over to get this expansion. I wonder if, with a little reworking, the automa could be made for Glen More I?
when getting a clan marker yourself for the frist time when there are already clan markers on the board, dont you have to calculate the cost from the other clan marker(s) and NOT the start position? I thought the start position is only if noone has placed a clan marker down yet? Just played this game for the first time yesterday and we were confused about this with my wife

This Automa is brutal 😰. I'm not even close against easy difficulty.
Do you have improved your scores from this play?. If so, any advice?

How come the market keeps filling with coin, am I missing you purchasing from the market?
In the solo game, any 1 coin spaces get refilled on MacNificent's turn so there's always at least one chance to sell

Next time: Very Easy :D David Studley's comment above (one of the solo designers) says I was a bit unlucky and that she scored on the far end of her range though
Solo seems unbalanced, I will play and see what happens.
