Tiger parenting is just a excuse to treat your kid like property and not have them become a individual with there own sets of beliefs. To force your child into the state of misery and never being good enough its diplorable and disgusting.
While I do respect her book, I will admit it actually DID come off, maybe due to the writing being off point, as strongly opinionated and a bit pretentious. But people forget about the parts of the books where Amy actually admits that even her method of parenting is not perfect.
It's a good thing I had a normal childhood and never had family like that. I used to be taught great lessons on how to protect myself and do better in life. Also, I used watch a lot of cartoons and play with Barbies and video games. When I became a teen, I had to work hard myself in order to get better grades and I still had a good normal life, but no tiger parent nonsense was required. Also, when I needed help, I ask my mom for help or my teachers to make sure I get the work done right.
This is the best way to parent your kids and as adults they thank her for making them successful high quality individuals. This is why Chinese women are the best mothers of all.
Would you clap and cheer if a man wrote a book about how he called his wife worthless, stupid and a disgrace and locked her outside in freezing weather during an argument? Or is abuse only okay when it’s a parent who is the perpetrator?
@@simrenbajaj6000 I've done similar to ex girlfriends to toughen them up and thankfully they later would grow a back backbone and earn my respect. So, yes I would applaud that man for being on the right path to making sure their wives grew as people as I despise weakness.
