No cable will allow you to connect this keyboard to a computer, for it simply has no midi connectivity; if you want a keyboard which can be connected to a computer, then choose another model; the KS 51 has a direct connection with a computer through an USB cable, through which you can send midi information from the computer to the keyboard, or receive MIDI information from it. But you cannot connect the E253 to a laptop, period!
It was replacement model for PSR-E243. Strongly recommended if you got budget. PSR-F50 sounded very awful and overpriced. If budget only can get PSR-F50, get Casio with same range of price.
No, absolutely not; there is no midi connectivity on this keyboard, it is not possible to connect it to a computer; if you are looking for a cheap keyboard which has midi connectivity (and thence can be connected to a computer), then choose the KS51 which has one; you can also buy the E353, which is a little more expensive than the E253, but which has both key sensivity and midi connectivity.
How to split voice in this model?? Half wid piano and half wid strings??
Help anybody
Does it have a split function?
I can't tell, but it probably does.

does it really take only six AA bateries, and if so what is the runtime for them?
Advisable to use rechargeable battery at least 2500mAH. Ordinary AA batteries will drain out fast and cause the keyboard power off when playing.
thanks dude!
Sounds Interesting but It's Has The Same Sounds that's on my PSR-E243.

Eric Chan ok
If I was you, I would keep the PSR E243, for at least it has midi connectivity; the PSR 253 has none, and neither has the PSR E263.
yamaha e253 or casio ctk 2400?
If you are a interested in learning piano, we mostly recommend the PSRE353.
+cranbournemusic thank you so much!

At least, unlike the E253, the E353 has midi connectivity.
Un yamaha con esencia de casio ctk series
Hi cranbournemusic! Is the last feature also in the PSRE353?
Rather take the E353, for the E253 has no midi connectivity.
Anyway to get this connected to a computer ?
markevis hill im still want to know thr answer of that too ... mostly using midi cable but there's not port for that in psr253

Hi, is this keyboard touch sensitive? :)
+Arielle Erika Valerio Hi, This one isn't touch senstive.. the PSRE353 is though!
+cranbournemusic I have this kind piano that my mom gave me as a present after the big exam results. But I wish I get the DGX - 660.
No, and it has neither midi connectivity.
