Hi, choosing for young child starting lessons after Xmas. Main interest is the piano sound and need chose between E353 or Casio 3200. Can you recommend which one? (Being offered Casio for $199 and E353 for $220, so $$'s aren't the issue). Thanks!
I am in a confused state which keyboard to opt please help me in choosing PSR E535 or PSR i425/455 ??? Is there any difference in the sound or the keys or anything ??? Please help me out thank you ......I ll be greatful to you
+G.Srikant Rao There is a difference in the sound between the models. The I455 will be a better sounding instrument, but it costs more. The I455 is also designed for Indian style music. It is a case of you get what you pay for.
Very nice demo. I would like to buy one. I liked it much. Please suggest between Casio CTK 860 IN and Yamaha PSR E353. I am bit confused between these two. Both priced at around INR 11000. Which one to buy for the purpose of learning for me and for my 6 yr old son?
Hello, i recently purchased this yamaha psr e353. Can u tell me how to switch between two voices without pressing the whole number, when playing a song, just like a quick view option. For example i started plying a song in voice number 001 and i want to switch to lets say voice no. 495 between song without stopping, wth a single button. Can u help me? IS THERE any way to set two voices of our choices and switch between them.?
My son is learning Piano. While he practices on a real piano in his class, will the PSR - E353 be a good buy to practice at home - considering we don't have space for a piano at home?
Not really as the touch is not a piano-like action. Yamaha market an 88-note piano keyboard wth proper piano touch and tone, at an affordable price. It's very compact [[just long] and accepts an inexpensive sustain pedal, the P-45. I don't have any connection to Yamaha by the way.
The P-45 refers to the pianonot the pedal. And don't buy the Yamaha pedal as you can get inexpensive true piano type sustain pedals from other manufacturers.
+Umasankar Arumugam Hi there, it is not possible to add additional instrument voices to this instrument. However you can add additional styles and MIDI songs. You might want to look at the PSR-S series if you want to add voices.
Thank you for this demo. I am about to decide whether to purchase the E353 or the E443. All I really care for is the quality in the grand/classic piano sound and touch-responsiveness. Could you please tell me which you think is the better model for this purpose?
Thank you very much for the wonderful review. my question is, is it possible to connect it to my computer and use as a midi keyboard in my cubase software, for sound productions and recordings?????
I am a singer. I am planning to use the keyboard as an accompaniment with my song. Mainly as grand piano or organ. For a beginner like me which one will be better? Yamaha EX220 pr PSRE353. Many thanks in advance for any suggestion you may provide. Regards.
Hi Josh, Are you able to confirm how "heavy" the keys are. I have a digital piano and my neighbours complain about the thudding of the keys (even when I'm wearing headphones) as they have hammer action. I find it unlikely this type of keyboard would have keys that thud when pressed, but am interested to know. Are they quite light? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the noise coming from the speakers, I mean the acoustics of the keys being pressed. Thanks
They are very similar. The Piagerro keys are box shaped, whereas the keys on the PSR's are standard keyboard keys. There isn't a massive amount of different in the way they feel as neither of them are weighted.
Too bad this keyboard is really expensive now. I was hesitating for a while because of the price but I ended up deciding I was going to buy it over the ctk 4400
Is it possible to record your own playing, and then playback it in a LOOP? I mean so that the melody I've recorded gets repeated over and over again and again, without delays betweeen the loops?
Hey, I bought an E 343 from Amazon. However, recently when I press the power button the LCD light comes on but on releasing my finger the light goes off. what's happening there? tks
+Bryan Eddy Yamaha have been moving away from having MIDI on the back of their starter keyboards. I think that the NP11 and NP31 are the only starter models with classic MIDI In/Out
In earlier models there used to be a floppy drive to load midi files on to the keyboard. I know that there is no slot etc... but can i upload .mid files (midi songs) via a pen drive on to the keyboard ? Can I use the tones (different voice) of the PSR-e353 to play back these midi files ?
Think i am going to buy this as my second keyboard, its going to be on my upper stand, we play and sing in church, and i play here on Y2b as well - thx for nice demo!
+KC's Rockshop & Keyboard Corner Just to be sure, this means we can use sequencers from windows like Cubase, FL Studio to run songs from windows to guide playing on this keyboard? Thanks for the info.
Hi Josh, thanks a lot for your review, very helpful and inspiring. I have a 4.5 yr old boy, and I'll take him to join a music class to learn the basic knowledege and skill for playing piano. I don't want to invest huge money to buy a piano before I know my son is interested in it. So I plan to buy a keyboard for the beginner, is PSR-E353 a good choice? And how about PSR-E443? PSR-E353 looks more affordable for me. Your reply will be highly appreciated.
hey!Nice work out there.i am not a beginner i have a keyboard experience for about 6 months.Well i am not beginner right?.Now i want a good keyboard for my skills to outshine,"A GOOD KEYBOARD".Now i have seen the price, its unbelievable. Please help me. should i buy this keyboard. And remember i am not a "BEGINNER".because i heard u saying twice "its good if you are starting out".Please help me out.
can i sample with this and play another melody or chords over the sample?? if yes,how many layers can the sample have?? can i create my own drum rhythms??can i record and transfer the recording to my pc?? is it compatible with a DAW?? can it be plugged to speakers or an amp??feel free to suggest other models of any brand if this keyboard doesnt fit my standards :)
+Θωμάς Παπαδάκης This keyboard cannot sample audio, however, you can record 2 tracks of midi on top of the accompaniment track. As this has USB MIDI connectivity to connect to your DAW. You can connect to speakers via the headphone jack.
I bought this keyboard a year ago and it does work fine, but it suddenly seemed to have this minor problem; the drum beats sound really low, but the speakers are working great, so it's not a speaker issue. Go to the function menu scroll until the accompaniment volume and adjust accordingly. You could also do a factory reset as well. Turn on the power whilst holding down the highest "c" note. Do not let go until it has powered on.

PSR E353 is way better in sound.
Get that one and not the Ctk 4400.
Look at demos for yourself to hear.

Hello, what to choose? Yamaha PSR-E363 or PSR-E353 keyboard. In my country there is no big difference in price.
Thanks for popping by! Since publishing this video the E353 has been discontinued so that might make the decision easier!
