Do miss you too! We did do some great content together ☺️ Rumble was such a wild ride. The potential of the game was insane, really hoped it would have turned out better in the end. Such an amazing and nostalgic video! ❤
I’ve loved this game from launch and it has been disappointing seeing its decline. I never knew about all the bug issues. Just felt like they didn’t update fast enough. Also barely any balance updates which a game like this lives and dies with.
Hear hear, though no matter all the bad stuff, I loved the PvE content on Warcraft Rumble! The irony of the game is that you ruin all your fun in it by paying to win.
You forgot about the huge bug with onyxia when sieges were released. Sieges had issue with phasing of bosses, so did onxyia. People were able to kill onyxia without phasing her. Anyway, great summary of everything that happened. I agree totally with everything said
Excoundrel!! Great to see you. What a great walkthrough of the history of this game! I remember each of those phases and I think you did a great job summarizing the issues and what could/should be done to help the game.
I’m playing the game since last October (beta), and there was not a single update without huge bugs, except one about a month ago. I’ve noticed that game was not release-ready in October, and looks like the game still is, feels like we are still in beta. I enjoy the game, but I understand why a lot of people don’t have enough patience for all this stuff. Main issues for the game are: 1) lack of replayability in PvE 2) lots of bugs 3) lack of updates. From small issues sure - just not enough features aka custom games, friend list and so on.
Thank you for making this! If you would had listed all of the bugs, it would had been 10 hours long. I haven’t played any other mobile games that have had more bugs than this. I have played Clash of Clans for 8+ years. In that time, Clash has ran rock solid.
I quit a little before the raid released. My two biggest issues was that equipments was locked behind the pay to win too much and the PvE modes was too limiting. There was also the fact that those in my guild were big cheaters who got rewarded with extra gold when blizzard fixed the bugs and blizzard did not compensate me for the bug who diddent cheat. It was clear that they diddent have the games interest in mind. This game was made for the shareholders (not the players) to grab a quick buck and then go into low maintainance mode. I am glad i quit when i did. I had fun in the start and thank you for the video content you made for the players Excoundrel. Its too bad to see another big potential game go down the drain from this company.

Nice summary, it's really shame they didn't use the potential the game had. I'm still keeping hope for some release 2.0 with PC client and a lot of system reworks (I'm looking at you, PvP!), we basically got something like that with the softlaunch, it came out of nowhere and changed a lot of the stuff in the game. But if that's not coming, I don't think the game has many options where to go, except fo being a one time campaign walkthough and then uninstall. I think a lot of people will decide how to go forward after a 1 year anniversary, because if not then, then probably never.
Oh wow your last podcast on rumble was the last one I saw before I ended up uninstalling. I actually googled you to see how the latest Rumble news was being taken. Very interesting video.
They should just rename it to Warcraft Fumble at this point. The latest log in bug absolutely destroyed the player base. Because if they just restore the account of people who have spent money & not the F2P accounts 50% playerbase is gone.
I had been involved since day 1 and had invested €200 quite quickly. My purchases were missing items and, funnily enough, even heroes. Support said they were aware of the problem and would get back to me as soon as a fix was available. After four weeks and several letters back and forth, I still hadn't received anything, several new contacts from Blizzard where I had to describe the problems each time like an idiot. I then canceled all my purchases and uninstalled the game. Too bad, I really had fun in the beginning but in the end it just doesn't work. I've never experienced making in-game purchases and not receiving my “goods”.
Well said Excoundrel, I am in one of the better pvp communities and still play and somewhat enjoy the game. That said, this video is 100% the honest truth. I appreciate you. Hope blizzard wakes up but I’m afraid it’s too late. Thank you again
I was finally able to load in and get linked to my long defunct battle net account from my WoW days. So my progress is now saved. Now when in game it's hard to get into the battles. it loads and reloads and finally I can get in....sometimes.
Great video. All correct. It’s sad they can’t at least communicate when stuff is wrong. And at least make the bugs go away. THEN worry about new content
I started in November of last year on global release day and played hours each day. This went on for the first two months. The two major reasons I quit was mini levels in pvp and the bugs you mentioned where a lot of players got giga rich. I was not one of those players. I felt even more behind in pvp. The game was legit fun. Until mini levels no longer play a part in pvp I don't think I will return.
I enjoyed Rumble a LOT for a month and then realized there was absolutely nothing to do after the campaign, the content took forever to come, and PvP which should be really fun is very unrewarding. I quit after about a month and a half. I enjoyed what I played, but yeah, not interested anymore and not surprised it flopped, even though I do think it's a great game. Just launched too soon and killed itself
@@Excoundrel you wait to release this game until you have raids ready and it's not a buggy mess, you drop raids to an acceptable level and you release them like 2/3 weeks after launch and you're golden. also should have probably simulatenous released on PC because Blizzard audience is simply weary of mobile games
I think a negative gold equity is the worst idea. I'm assuming the only reason they would go into the negative is because they spent all or a chunk of the gold and then what gold they earned got subtracted from their account. They still get the massive advantage of having spent all that gold which pisses everyone else off and then they have absolutely no reason to engage in anything that earns them gold. It's like if I could go to a bank and get $1,000,000 with no interest. It's a massive boon for me and then why would I care about work when all the money I earn goes into a pit?
The state of the game over the past months, since raids, have put me in a spot where I want to spend on the game to support the continued development but I feel like I'm not getting any value (quality) out of my money. With Blizzard's track record of abandoning failed projects it even more pushes me away from purchasing things like the 'Azeroth's Blessing!' which is a great value proposition to anyone who plays daily.. I hope they will find the person able to turn this ship around, because the current team is, sadly, sinking dead ahead. Thanks for the video and discussion
remember when diablo 2 was the best game ever? and then starcraft brood war? and then WoW? and then starcraft 2 ? and then they got bought by Activision and quite literally every game has been TRASH since. this game was good. but they haven't added any new end game content (besides like once? ragnaros, but even he was easy)
I’m a current guild leader in Rumble and I’m struggling to keep players active. I’m down to 16 players. Also why did they buff the raids? Are guild didn’t get through the raids when they weren’t buffed. Lost lots of players due to the buff and then a couple days ago raids were down completely. I’m bleeding players left and right.
Blizzard could not accept my US bnet account and forced me to create a EU bnet account to 'save' my progress. So basically I have rumble on its own bnet account for no reason other than incompetence.. This first few days with the game taught me to be cautious so I never invested a dime in it
This is an amazing video breaking down the timeline of the game leading to its downfall. I enjoyed the game a lot early and it kept getting worse. Raids was fun for a while but wasn’t enough to keep me going.
I enjoy the game. Many breaks but just turned it on this weekend. It was great fun playing it. It always felt very pay to win though. Im just under level 100 and the PVP is fun when im taking a break off marvel snap grinding lol
I quit when they enabled the tinker/dark moon fair event. While the rewards was nice it also pushed you into beeing more activ otherwise ( moral dilemma leeching on activ players ). Game was casual for me and that move turned it into a chore.
I got to Rumble from the very beginning and honestly, its a super chill game, very enjoyable on the PVE part. Noting too serious, nothing too casual. For me its just another missed oportunity for blizzard (nothing new), but i would like just to expose my main grieves with this game. - You can fry an egg on your phone when you run it, bluestacks or Mac desktop is the way to go. - Somewhat recurrent bugs where you cant retrieve your prizes after defeating stages (hapened to me on heroic twice, so a 600 gold wait that i only recovered after contacting support) - VERY real currency dependent to achieve a somewhat playable progression (getting levels and abilities) - EXTREMELY penalizing for F2P players that choose the wrong mini ability (you will not get another oportunity in the coming weeks or months) And the most infuriating part... - Awful guild communication system. I can only attemp Raids on a rotation with an interval of 2 weeks and when i get the oportunity i can never get anyone to play with in an active guild of around 18 dedicated players. Give me a global matchmaking system so i can play with other casuals like myself, i dont mind failing miserably but at the very least let me try. Other than that, super fun, great graphical designs with our beloved warcraft characters and very good replayability once you get a decent pool of abilities to choose from.
Blizzard have fkd their priorities in this game dev. They continually release patches fix 1 bug, only to create 2 more. Then released total revamps of UI for nl reason, with more bugs.... The basics of the game are fun, pity the devs can't get their shit together.
Whales killed the game for me. Can't join a guild unless 150 level. Can't win in pvp because whales. You could do the campaign but slowly over time which is fine. I don't wanna auto win. But the grind is terrible for exp. 12 exp per win on one mini n I need 12k exp ?! That's madness.

I had so many recourses n money spent and started new one 2 days ago
Consistently felt that way the whole time :(

I know wow I feel bad for ppl who been on it since the beginning cause my account was 3 months everyday n it's gone the name is still there tho
IMO, for raids, they should just team you up with anyone, not just your guild members. Too many times, none of your mates are on.
