  • What expensive flamenco guitar would you like to have ?
    In this video you will hear 4 similar passages on 4 different top quality flamenco guitars. Check out why I like them and why I would choose each of these models.
    Ramirez 1962
    Mariano Conde
    Conde Sobrinos de esteso 1975
    Felix Manzanero Negra 1962
    You can listen to longer passages of my playing on these guitars at www.guitarsonl... This shop is run by Pierre, the guitar expert. Totally trustworthy and he knows his guitars very well. Check out his you tube channel.: / pierrehk1

    A few years ago I owned an Andres Dominguez blanca and I loved it. But I never could play flamenco; no matter how hard I tried, practiced and even prayed about it and I could not find a teacher. So, I sold it. I'm an old man now and I'm terminally ill but if I had my life to do over again, I swear I would have changed all of that even if I had to move to Spain and tend bar so that I could have learned.

      Music is a blessing in our lives. I am sure you listen to flamenco often and have it in you heart. I wish you the best on your journey and at the same time where I feel very sad when reading your words. Have you listened to Paco de Lucia and what are your favourite songs of his.?

      @@ThomasLorenzoComposer Thank you for the kind comment. I have listened to Paco throughout the years and I would guess that my favorite solo would be Entre Dos Aquas but I am always amazed by his collaborations. Entre, I believe, may have been Al DiMeola's inspiration for Mediterranean Sundance.

    I vote for the Felix Manzanero 1967. It combines nicely a deep dark sound with projection power.

    I've heard them all WITHOUT paying attention to the 'brand name' which drives most people to form a bias opinion and the first three sounded as they should, some dark and deep, some crisp and raspy but when I've heard the last one (F.Manzanero) which I've never heard of, it blew the others out of the water, hands down. Everybody wants a Conde but, now I'll be looking for a Felix Manzanero and will be matching it against any Conde when in Spain next.

    Bueno manos hombre pero lo siento... could only really hear the effects mate may be due to auto mastering.. is the soundboard on the first stained or is it a classical? Subjectively I preferred it anyhow..

    the Mariano Conde, if I am just playing for enjoyment. I love them all for different reasons. The ramirez is smooth almost too good of a sound. Conde Hermosa is my favorite if I were going to show off or play as accompaniment. they all have a very balanced sound from base to treb.

    The question is, what current production models would be considered best best? In sound and value?

    • @ThomasLorenzoComposer
      @ThomasLorenzoComposer  3 роки тому +2

      To be honest I only buy the guitar once I have tried it and compared it with all other models in a shop as expensive guitars all sound different even within the same model. Therefore I recommend buying by sound and avoiding the brand and model. Do you have this option?

    Wow, all great sounding. The Manzanaro projection is to die for, possibly the most versatile of the bunch, would be nice for classical repertoire. But straight up flamenco, the brashness of attack and note decay of the M. Conde is tough to beat - what a beast of a guitar! I also admit to a personal bias for spruce/cypress. Great playing Thomas, I checked out your playing at the guitarsonline site, "Nostalgia" is a lovely piece.

    Sir.. if budget is around $1500-1800 or hardly upto $2000... what best brands or models would you suggest for flamenco guitars? love and respect from India...

    • @ThomasLorenzoComposer
      @ThomasLorenzoComposer  4 роки тому +2

      Hello. I would suggest you buy a guitar based upon the sound not the price. Sometimes a 900 dollar guitar will send better than a 2000. Do you have the possibility of going to a local shop ? If so what guitars do they have to try out and then I would suggest better what you can do .

    • @SoumyadiptaRay
      @SoumyadiptaRay 4 роки тому +1

      Thomas Lorenzo thanks for you kind suggestion sir..actually i stay in India where you can have all ranges of acoustic and electric guitars to buy but not nylon string guitars as we have very less number of players and students here.. so just surf internet and youtube and suggestion videos like yours.. someday may be i will order something from abroad..

      Hi. I have played many hours on the guitar 'Primera A' blanca made by Hermanos Camps (around 1650.- Euro) and there sound is excelent, what a lot of guitar players and teachers confirm. There ist also a 'Primera A' negra, if you prefer the rose-wood ones :)
