- Africa’s largest oil refinery will not be finished until the end of 2020 due to problems importing steel and other equipment, executives at Dangote, which is building the facility in the Nigerian commercial hub of Lagos, told Reuters.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, imports virtually all its fuel due to sclerotic and underutilised refineries, and even the state oil company is looking to the 650,000 barrel per day (bpd) Dangote refinery to help address this.

It is sad that the project is delayed due to the lack of the steel Nigeria has iron ore but can't build factories to produce steel because of corruption they they export iron ore to other countries

Abdulkadir mohammed the oil is taken from the south...the refinery built in the west...Lagos. That does not make any sense.
teetee me Bros out of the three regions that made south is Lagos not part of it called southwest ? The plant is not completed so how are we sure the crude oil to feed that plant will only come from South south when oil has been also discovered from Lagos and even if the crude is going to come from south south is not going to be free from Nigeria government, it is business just the way we sale to other countries that buy Nigeria crude that is how Dangote refinery will pay and get supply as well.
