This update should apply to Toyota vehicles with Toyota Multimedia System and other vehicles with Lexus Interface. You might already have this update if you purchased the vehicle in the last few months. So check the version you have and compare it to the version numbers in the video. If you don't get the notification yet, do try the Software Update menu item every day and hopefully it will pop up soon.
No "2170" update in Europe yet. On your side, did you notice any change in "Info & Security", with the Privacy settings ? You remember it was a big deal (and still is for some drivers) in Europe with the "2050" software update last February... However, we are receiving a recall letter informing the drivers about an automatic and transparent OTA update of the DCM only (not including the multimedia system), which is supposed to solve some issues related to the remote command of the air conditioning via Lexus Link+.
There are no changes to the Info & Security screens. You have more options on that screen than what we have. Hopefully the update comes soon and fixes that issue.
Thanks for the information. For the moment no sign of update in Europe but i think it will come soon as usual. Hoping that the Lexus command bar with carplay will also be soon available for android auto :)
Do we need to have the power on during the installation? I started it while I was driving but now I need to get out of my vehicle and unsure whether I can turn the power.
Mr car still says I have the latest update lol. I'm on 2031, gonna take it to the dealer. This version of the update is the same one that came with the car on June 26th, 2023. Tried to manually update it and still says its up to date
Seems like anybody who has 2031 is on a special update schedule. A few owners who have 2031 seem to be still waiting. So check with the dealership why others got the update and you haven't. Let me know the outcome.

@@lsft I have the active navigation subscription so I told myself I might as well use it. It's 50-50 with that and Google maps. The navigation interface looks cleaner and the trip card is where the bulk of the improvements are. Good job with another informative video.
I was on the phone with Lexus last week, imploring them, begging, crying, stomping my feet to let us have a "back" function so that when playing an album by a certain artist, we can go back to the song list on that album instead of having to go to "browse", select the category to browse by, find the artist and find the album again just so we can choose a different song to play. Ridiculous and potentially dangerous.
@@lsft Yes the guy listened and took notes or at least made keyboard sounds lol, but I said that this needless scrolling and attention needed to the touch screen is a potential lawsuit because some clown will inevitably become fixated on finding his favorite Bee Gee's tune and plow into the back of a school bus and then knowing how society is today, Lexus will get sued and then Lexus will punish the rest of us by disabling the touch screen altogether while driving. So just give us a back button and avoid this circus. He seemed very receptive. We'll see.

I assume you are saying RX450h? That is the enform system and there are less updates on that system.

Yes, the car should be running to install. Don't power off the car while it's installing

Would be nice if the illuminated lighting wouldn't dim when in drive.

is it an update for ALL lexus vehicles starting 2023 with a new multimedia system?
