Happens a lot, he'll be back. He still loves us he just very clearly has a life outside of streaming and a man does what he has to to get by. I've learned not to be offended by these breaks and not to worry. Skye will never generally say what he has going on but I assume we would all rather get videos of quality than just forced quantity cause he's either busy or just not of the best mental health.

I found it back when i used to play banished back in highschool. Used to watch the banished colonial charter series when that was being released weekly. Watched every dont starve series, rimworld, prision architect, kerbal, every TF & TF2 series, the reassembly series, wasnt huge on ONI but still watched it lol. My point is ive been here through it all the breaks are more frequent now but times change. I truly believe our friend will return when he is ready to do so cause this is a legendary channel with a great community. We love ya skye

I'd keep your dams in place, since all they do is mean the water around your settlements reaches cap first before the overflow floods to the rest. That way if the shallower areas on the rest of the map evaporate fast enough that they can't be maintained, you'll still maintain your deep reservoirs around your settlement.
This is actually my favorite build yet. I watched all of your previous Timberborn seasons and once again, you do outclass yourself, again. I could watch this all day.

@Skye Storme!!! UPDATE 6 is out in experimental lots of new features, the biggest of them all is 3d water dynamics, we can finally make aqueducts over platforms, we have sluices (this finally will eliminate the micromanaging of the water gates) and a lot more!!!

There’s nothing wrong with a one tile bridge, a lot of beavers would consider that a perfectly adequate sized bridge, let’s not judge by the size of the bridge, but the functionality it gives the beavers.
Ghosting us for a few months again :( i dont want to sound selfish, hope there's not a bad reason for it. Just love the content, one of my favorite Ytubers. Hope to see a new vid soon with you and picture. Youu bunch of slackerrs ^^
Beautiful changes you've made Skye. I feel the channel needs to be a bit wider as well on the city side of it, shoreline seems to close to this gorgeous island. Maybe add a small roofed platform when you enter the island as a bit of a gateway into it.
That would be kind of cool to do a water world making the map a giant box and flood the whole thing building a city on platforms. A floating city if you will.
The hard part would be sourcing logs and metal

and my daily does of Skye is completed :D i think if your gonna make this world very watery you should experiment with using metal platforms inside the water all over the place including in the reservoir .Other idea is to maybe try adding a spiral style mountain to the map kind of like the helix map but more vertical and smaller. something tall and green to contrast the water colour. not a very efficient area to grow but maybe pick the resin trees to go on it and call it Mount Resin. idk random idea i though would look cool.

Anyone else get worried after a week without posting that Skye will be gone for months?
I know he likes his privacy, and he deserves to take breaks, but frankly of all the creators Ive ever watched I only check for one guys vids daily. I've been watching Skye since early ONI and after that long it starts to feel like you really have a friend you care about and worry when you don't hear from them for so long.
To any of his patreon subs, does he ever say anything when he's taking time off? I'd honestly join just to know he's doing ok.
Skye is the only UA-camr I worry about! I hope he and Picture are alright, too.

This was awesome! I am so glad you did something beautiful in that circular-like spot there. A bunch of islands of perfect size based on the game's infrastructure is going to look awesome, especially with the power wall on one side and the farm wall on the other.
I like the road around the edge by the way, it allows for story-wise the beavers to walk around and catch the beauty. (Also in-game it allows for faster transport and that can't be bad, but I like it more cause of aesthetics. hehe)
But yeah, this was cool and I am very much looking forward to the general megaproject of expanding the interior area into islands and stuff.

Another fantastic episode. I wasn't sure on that windmill/flower design at first but seeing it all tied in with the water! OH YES, that looks great!
I reckon you need to do some smaller ones to the left and right side of it with the different tree types.
Cant wait to see the dams at the end of the map burst and see the whole map covered in water! I bet that looks epic.

That came out really nice!
Love it. I am wondering though if the water dump in the center is really needed or if the water level will always be high enough that you could away with dynamiting down one of the paths towards the water, put some platforms and then put the path back, so the island's center gets filled through the channel automatically. Then you wouldn't even need the water dump anymore :)
All these episodes and still haven't added torches to the power generating side. Add it to your honey do list, please. Love the build, anxiously waiting on the next episode!

That makes sense, Skye often mentions that there's nothing better than a wet beaver so he'd naturally have more fun on those episodes where he gets to work with water/flooding/dams etc!
It's unfortunate that two of my favorite UA-camrs, Skye and Broadbent, are so inconsistent and just drop off the face of the earth for months at a time, no notice. They both could be so much bigger if they stayed consistent throughout the years. Stopping and restarting on UA-cam hurts growth rate SO MUCH.
I hope you come back, for good, Skye.

Hi @SkyeStorme I figured something out and thought maybe its interresting for you.
If you place the "dirt diggers" at a palce where your "bad water" flows those diggers will do their job perfectly. But - the terrain will not decrease. :D
You should build some pumps in the big reservoir so that you get outflow even during droughts and badtides.
I think it would be great if Pinwheel Island had some highlights by having most of it be oaks but some of it be a different tree to give some texture to that island shape.

I had the idea you could build a tiny district on the rock in the reservoir with two bievers one with a tiny farm and the other would be in a water pumb and would live hapily together and alone

Wow it’s looking epic, drastically different from the wasteland it started as.
I wonder if you'd be able to pump enough bad water from the industrial zone to your dam to counter the evaporation, and be able to close off that bad water source entirely? Might need to boost your stocks of dynamite to prepare if you did that, but maybe worth a test run?

If everything built to this point was not enough proof of this, you only need to look at the new reservoir dam at the far end of the lake and the newly terraformed Pinwheel Forest island. Of course, there are some logistical areas that need attending before the new reservoir can truly be called a success, but such is the nature of such things. And, I would be remiss to not point out that the small bridges leading into Pinwheel Forest remind me of some of the smaller bridges across the Thames. With each passing day spent amongst these wonderful creatures, I find myself ever more eager for what they'll come up with next."
I think you should definitely add in a couple extra waterways around the colony. Not only would this help expand the reservoir levels out, giving more time before overflow occurs, but it would also lead to more areas being turned green that are currently not. I have to say, I love the pinwheel island. It made me smile when I knew instantly what you'd planned when you laid in that first marker-path to show the edge of the "petal". I can't wait to see what's next!
Pinwheel island’s looking nice. I was a little dubious at first, like why doesn’t he go with an 8 petal design but it turned out really nice.

Amazing you can't even tell what map you used in the beginning. With water going to be one of your main features you might consider using bridges to connect all your "islands" rather than normal paths.

After your project have you seen the modded beaver group as I see you liked a few convenient mods and you do like the vanilla of anyone can try game play. Reminds me of civtech on minecraft I think you might enjoy it's complicated tech tree, nice windmill reminds me of a sea side beachfront toy than a flower but that's to be expected.
