Man Dragapult fees divisive. One side thinks he’s not a problem and easy to deal with while the other side wants him nerfed to the ground
Why is Dragapult divisive?
My guess is that the timeline of Pokemon Unite's balancing quality over-time clouds judgement, normalizing low-effort balancing, while not as bad as M2Y, it still needs some level of nerfs because if this were a MOBA like Vainglory [if it hadn't lost it's servers] or any MOBA with good balancing over-time it would likely be nerfed for being a straight-up upgrade to many existing back-line carries, which for Dragapult is a problem.

@@Goldeneye3336No guys, here's what you need to understand, Dragapult is good soloq, but it does suck in a coordinated play, mainly because how squishy it is, he said he play with his friend/s, which means he's getting coordinated enemies, that's why you never see Dragapult being played in tournaments, it's glassier than glass, 1 venusaur beam/unite, Decidueye arrows, Inteleon snipe shot, they rip Dragapult from insane range, you cannot even walk up to 1v1 against something like volt tackle pikachu, or Gardevoir because they always have their unite moves up, if there's a ranking for coordinated plays, Dragapult is D tier.
Honestly if they just reduce the attack gained per stack to 5 and give it the same 100 damage cap it'd be more manageable, as it wouldn't snowball nearly as hard.
It's kind of good in soloq but it's highly team comp depended, if you see enemies with venusaur, Inteleon, talonflame, Gardevoir, and to an extent decidueye, it becomes really hard to play this character, especially if you have duo or trio because 1 move is all it takes to take it out, and since you already jungle enemies getting such high levels by killing you is very scary especially giving levels to something like venusaur or talonflame or Gardevoir, you were winning at first and suddenly everything goes left.

Dragon Dance personally is my forte, although I'm curious about Cris going for a Dragon Dance tutorial on Pult.
Seeing how fast those two DEFENDER were melted really doesn't make me laugh just look the hp bar of the umbreon at 2:18,5:05,5:28,6:08,6:40,8:16 i mean still he got a really good team but the stats at the end show it he did most of the damage.
He was also a much higher level than the other Pokémon, so the damage is a lot higher naturally

I think it's a snowball kind of pokemon. The level difference + the stacks from kills can make you this strong, but if you didn't get any kills & evolves late you'll hit like the wet noodle that he is 😂
As someone who played Phantom force before the buffs and was already carrying games, the buffs made me very happy.

"Man, I want Ttar but I tried Dragapult before and he's kinda fun... I guess? Man, It would be kinda suck if this phantom force build got caught by enemies hinders. And, Ttar he got ancient power. Nothing could go wrong with that, cc is fine to me. Yeah, maybe a Ttar would do great."

And then you encounter teammates who takes your mid mons -> you don't get phantom force in time, your bot\top lane gets destroyed cuz your mates took care of mid and were roaming and then you on lvl5 face lvl7 mewtwo or trapping umbreon or kinda and nothing you can do
He probably needs a little tone down on the stacks from phantom force but he’s so squishy that if he’s not doing crazy damage he’s trash tier. So a gentle handed nerf which unite devs seem to have a tough time doing lol
I think they only buffed Dragapult because of the holowear they released, like Inteleon a few seasons ago.

Dragapult is balance because is super squishy thats why no one play it in tournaments..if they focus on dragapult it goes down every fight dragon dance is unplayable with all these stuns if they nerf phantom dragapult will be unplayable

Dragapult is so easy to counter lol especially in soloQ. Espeon destroys it so casually, one combo is enough. Also most defenders can wreck it especially trevanent with its stuns. The only problem is when you let dragapult gets all it's stacks/higher level and cannot isolate it just like in this video. And that's completely on you and your teammates.

They should make it so half or all of the Phantom Force stacks are lost on death. Make it a risk/reward type of ability.

The problem is that it is untargetable and appears right next to you with crazy attack speed and unite move - just too difficult to react to is all.
Exactly! At least Inteleon has a slight shape outline so if you pay attention you can see it when it is out of the bushes hiding in pain sight on walls.
So if you are not rushing or putting your focus on other things there's a way of knowing where it is and punish it but Dragapult is completely gone until it decides to appear. There's no way to react to that

if you're not playing the right mon to counter eg buzz/leafeon/dodrio then you gotta rely on a team member who is playing a burst mage/speedster.
Can't always play a hard counter to Dragapult lmao; and relying on another teammate is never something u wanna do😂😂

Dragapult dont need no nerfs dragapult has no tankiness at all no cc no stuns hes literally like almost reliant on the team members to keep him alive every dragapult I fought in ranked I been able to single out and kill in 2 hits he does high damage in short time but one stun and he's dead

Give phantom force minor nerfs, then it's fine. It's a little too easy to use and a little too snowball dependent. Slightly less scaled attack speed when it leaves phantom force, slightly less attack per stack, and slightly less total stacks. I like the movement speed it gets from phantom force.
And then give Dragon Dance hindrance resistance pls ^-^
0:57 how does he have those buffs even after dying?
Cris got them from trading with Squirtle after he was KO’d. So what happened was, Squirtle KO’d Cris and received the jungle buffs from him but one of Cris’s projectile moves was still in play. So Cris got a revenge KO on Squirtle who had just received the jungle buffs. So he received them back while waiting to respawn.
Oh so basically if u tie in a 1v1 battle u get those buffs back? But the condition should be they die first or something?

We need a good solo adc, cinderace is mid, greninja too, duraludon has no mobility, and glaceon and decidueye get value from their abilities more than their basics. Dragapult is the only consistent adc for solo

The main problem with this Mon is the jungle. Getting an invisible gank with red buff and 2-1 level over you is ridiculous. Also, the fact that Dragapult can Burst is ridiculous. He as an ADC should be good in DPS, but Dragapult just burst with 2 basic attacks
What burst?
Draga has to fill a pressure gauge to do more damage than Comfey and the unite doesnt hit hard outside of execute range.
The only way to get bursted by Draga is to bump into it when it very carefully upkeeps the gauge on farms or a prior fight (the gauge disappears after 3 seconds). Phantom Force pressure buildup is good for nothing

Getting razored by Draga is either
1. Skill issue
or
2. Good teamplay on Dragas side, as Draga doesnt work without cover frlm its team.
That makes it 100 times more balanced than ANY Allrounder and Defender that can simply dive on everything and twoshot most Attackers without being stoppable like i.e. Blastoise and Crustle.
Draga is fine, Dragon Dance needs a buff. I have always been reluctant on this one, but when I see Cinders' and Mimikyus' immunity frames: Dragon Dance is ready for complete immunity for at least the first half of the circle.
The master of third party-ing (how fun). As an opposing jungler, I hate how I have to play against Dragapult. I cannot be caught without my cooldowns vs him. So I need vision on where it is before making a decision. Which, is difficult because it takes one of the most obnoxious things about Sableye and puts it on a hyper ADC. Oh joy.

Ofc he has a good secure and a good melting speed and when ever i use dragapult i easily do 90k+ dmg most of the time

He's not busted, but if ANYTHING, he could maybe use a small slap on the wrist for his damage. The thing that i dont think many people realize is that in the past, once a character was known to be overpowered, you saw them in every game, sometimes alongside a broken support to enable them. Dragapult isn't in every game. Tbh, he isn't even in most games for me anyway. He requires too much proper positioning and crumbles at the slightest misplay. Of course if you do have proper positioning and a decent frontline he is very strong, but I feel like thats more of a reward for understanding how to play the character rather than the character just being easy for anyone to pick up and be great with.

Imo dpult is only ok. Its success is completely dependent on A.) how good your team is and supports you, B.) how bad the enemy team is.
In solo queue, it can be a monster, but outside of that it is not consistent/splashable like actual top tier attackers.

Anybody saying that Dragapult doesn't need nerfs is just being carried by it or has a biased opinion based on the pokemon they play. 170,000 damage is NEVER ok.
I a dragapult main agree it does feel like cheating, but unlike mewtwo you can easily counter it. I think it needs nerfs, the thing what part of it buff parts need to be nerfed. Some ideas I have is nerfing its attack a little bit and nerf shadow damage and the increased damage to opposing pokemon or just reduced the increased damage. Other than that I enjoy the Pokemon and glad that it was able to shine ✨ 😊. Hope everyone has an amazing valentine day ❤.
