Pretty good comparison. I live in Oslo, but have also lived in Copenhagen, and i agree. I think the biggest difference is that Copenhagen feels like an old European city, while Oslo feels younger. Of course both cities have a lot in common, we have a shared history for over 1000 years and that influence everything a lot. Old Copenhagen feels like 17th or 18th century, while Oslo mostly was built in the 19 century and onwards.
I think Oslo have better air, specially in the spring, summer and autumn than Copenhagen, while Copenhagen is a pretty beautiful place to be, specially in the spring. But the winter is Copenhagen are not my favourite, it's cold, windy and moist, while Oslo are a bit dryer. The feeling of cold for me have been worst in Copenhagen, I actually prefer 20 minus compared to zero degree, rain, snow and moist in Copenhagen.
The cuisine of both countries pretty much the same, the difference is that danish cuisine feels more advanced. I think the danish "smørrebrød" are the best part of Denmark. Really a must to try if you visit Copenhagen or another danish city

Definitely agree with the feeling that Oslo is "younger." They're very different atmospheres, but I think Oslo does a great job of owning its "newness."

I have never been to Oslo, but looking at the footage, it seem to remind more of Denmark's 2nd largest city Aarhus, that is also more "modern" in style than Copenhagen, even though Aarhus has Den Gamle By (The Old Town) that is the world's first open-air town museum of it's kind and will take you all the way back to the 1600's. But otherwise there are more "fancy" new ongoing building projects in Aarhus in compare to Copenhagen, and Aarhus also has one of the largest art museums in Northern Europe, the top-class ARoS Modern Art museum in the center of the city.

The similarities between the two cities might go back to that they were bother under the Danish crown and royal architects. So there will be a lot of the same thougts materials and design that is shared between them. Cool to see you use, sounds, smells, taste etc. To describe them

Great comparison, I went there solo on a 2-in-1 trip last December. I loved both. Lots of winter activity around Oslo, and there's the sauna and polar plunge which is something I had wanted to do. Old European city vibes in Denmark. I needed a bit of both. I didn't visit any museums, but I should've.

I’m Norwegian and I have lived almost 3 years in Oslo, but I’ve also been to Copenhagen several times with work. I absolutely love Copenhagen and Danes. I love their taste in fashion, their architecture and how they're a little more relaxed and compared to us Norwegians. Although I love parts of Oslo, I personally think Copenhagen overall is a much more beautiful and well made city. Their streets are bigger and not as claustrophobic as some of the streets in Oslo, the roads and buildings are more beautiful (especially down town Oslo has way too narrow streets many modern/ ugly high rise buildings).
What’s lovely about Oslo though, is the accessibility to nature- both little hikes 20-30 minutes from the city centre and the small coastline :) Definitely recommend hopping on one of those ferries and visiting one of the green little islands during summer🧚🏼🧚🏼

Oslo is amateurish like everything in Norway. A country with no culture and a government that doesn't give a shit about people but gladly steal their money and won't let them have nice things like GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE!
Did you know that Albania has better roads than Norway!? ALBANIA! One of the poorest countries in Europe.
When I was INDIA they had fancier highways than I ever saw in Norway. INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway... you have access to nature in Copenhagen too.
There are several huge forest-like parks within the city borders that are designed to give you the feeling of the country side.
I took me 13 years to figure that out myself and it happened by accident.
We were drunk and were supposed to take a taxi to a place and got a message that the party had been moved to another location and we'd be updated ASAP so we told the driver to let us off and we'd just wait where we were since we had a few beers in the backpack.
And we got let off in the middle of the woods but we could see lights of the city in every direction far far away.
After a about half an hour treking the woods drunk in the dark we came upon a gas station and asked them to call a taxi 'cause we figured we'd wait for more info on the party in the city instead of the woods.
And I asked the girl behind the counter "Where are we?", 'cause I know the city pretty well, but this made no sense to me.
She said we were in Copenhagen and that the forest was one of many parks built to simulate the feelings of the countryside.

The old ships in Nyhavn are allowed in for a rather low price, to keep it looking interesting! It wouldn't be the same with modern ships along the quay. And when leaving they need to get the bridge opened. By the way, author Hans Christian Andersen had his only home as a rented room on top of Nyhavn. It wasn't because he couldn't afford one, as a comparable Billionaire at the end of his life, but he travelled that much that he never felt the need. With the rather primitive ways of travel by then, he visited most of Europe.

Actually both Copenhagen and Oslo have a lot in common because of the danish king Christian IV who planned the building of a lot of the famous buildings in Copenhagen and also rebuild Oslo in a new spot after a fire in 1624 - therefore it was called Christiania between 1624 og 1925 where it changed back to Oslo.

You can't compare the two cities.
      Copenhagen reeks of European empire.
Oslo reeks of a tiny city trying to act like a capitol but just can't do it.
      Copenhagen seems professional.
Oslo... not so much. Looks like it was built by a bunch of drunk lepers.
Copenhagen appears bigger and grander than Oslo.

Nice comparison, but I feel like you left out a lot of important things about Oslo compared to Copehagen. It seems like you have spent much more time in Copenhagen, which is fine - but also would explain a sparse view of Oslo.
Oslo also has many beautiful beaches, even down town, but also many just a short bike trip. Oslo also has many small islands that can be reached by the ferries.
Oslo is also surrounded by nature with mountains and lakes close by. There is even an a ski slope at the end of one of the metro lines.
There is also Frogner Park, a large beautiful park in the center, and sea promenades of Aker Brygge, Bjørvika and Sørenga with you don't even mention or show.
I love Copenhagen, it is a beautiful city, but I don't think you really showed what Oslo has to offer and what makes it so different to Copenhagen or many other cities.
Lastly, yes Oslo can get vey cold and snowy in winter, but is actually warmer (by about 0,5-1c) in summer with nicer weather (more hours of sunshine) than Copenhagen. And only about two degrees colder in winter compared to Copenhagen.
