They were pretty clever back then. Nowadays recording a gong backwards is child’s play. But back then they had to really coordinate things. Well done.

Just look up the producers of your favourite songs.
Most are happy to explain how they made their music.

1:50 - Stevie Wonder about to go into the deep meaning of the song involving racism. 2:05 - Nope, cut him off and let the white dude talk about the buttons on his panel, lol.

      You made that UP LOSER!!!!!
Stevie's Co Worker(Engineer) is grateful to be working with him. It's so sad people like you DONOT understand the psychology of the "Black Experience". Can you write HIT songs? Create Hit CD's? Were you able to play: drums, Harmonica, and keyboards at 12 years of age?....In your spare time Look up Blind DOB May 25, 1849-June 14, 1908 Thomas Wiggins and Thomas Greene Bethune The problem in this society is YOU really have to take a black history class to learn about our history. Simply, because it has been left out of US History books written by the "Conquers". Conquers who refuse to teach and learn the truth. Have a good day or night. Overall, this song is about racism. Stevie Wonder writes about racism and the true meaning of "Love In Need Of Love Today. Try listening to the song please!!!!

They're different. I personally LOVE the string arrangement their manager whipped up for ER.
Come on, this song has everything including COWBELL, it's just a different vibe, not trying to be the same, I think he just liked the orchestral quality over just the typical band thing.

This video is bullshit my father recorded this track with Stevie at International Automated Media studios
In irvine California his name Jerome Shirar i don't know who this guy is acting like he knows something about it. Part of the contract stated that the tracks would be recorded in Irvine with my father producing it
But the credits would have the executive producers name on it and say it was done at his studio in Germany for marketing purpose. Jerry Shirar made some good money off it and through it eventually got a Grammy for producing the last dance by Donna summers. Believe it or not I don't give a shit but you can ask Stevie he would remember they used to play air hockey together between sessions........ I guess this weird contract stuff happens all of the time in the music industry .you can't always believe the credits printed on the album.

You must have jumped to a quick shallow conclusion. It is specifically said that : "IN THIS VERSION OF THE SONG"....Meaning your father's wasn't the only version.
No offense, but please listen carefully before making your comment.

Some really HORRENDOUS editing here, May I say. Your personal subjectivity ruined this, potential, gem. You CUT him mid-sentence particularly when he made racial observations.
