Great review, full information, have been using, Tom Bihn side effect, also bellroy adventure ready sling 2.4 litre,ALPAKA flight sling, Aer day sling 3, (am going crazy)😊
Thanks for watching!!! That is a nice sling selection. I think I have the Tom Bihn co-pilot as a possible bag to try. i will have to take a look at the side effect.
Check out the Orbitkey Urban Sling. They did a kickstarter but are now offering it to everyone. It comes in 2L, 4L and 6L size. I already had a Tomtoc T-21 (4.5L size) so I opted for the large 6L Orbitkey Urban sling. So far, I'm liking it.
@mfinresearch6462 I got the X-pac version of the Tomtoc and have traveled with it a couple times so far. I liked a review of the Orbitkey sling and opted for the bigger 6L size. I may get a 2 to 2.5 liter size sling and will see if I can get away with that size.
Great video! I would love to see the Patagonia Atom asking reviewed. I love the durability of the brand, and I want to see if this has some value in the edc community.
I can recommend the "Mystery Ranch Sling Thing", i use it a lot. It hasn't so many compartments, but i think it's enough. If i want to have more organization i take a rigid MOLLE insert with some pouches on it. 😃👍 Very good video, btw. !
@@mfinresearch6462 MR isn't always that perfect, i have do admit. Some designs are ... well! 😁 Their Rucksacks are interesting, but i find them too "complicated" to use. The interior is pretty uncomfortable in their "Urban Assault" line - and who does *not* add some water pouches at the sides? 😐
Stumbled upon this video to get some great christmas gift ideas and a slingbag would be a nice fit to give someone. Also, wish me luck on the giveaway, hoping to save some and cut some cost for purchasing gifts this holiday season :)
Im all for slings if you live in the suburbs. Dont know what city you all live in but it makes you a target. People where i live will stick you up because they know its easy for you to pull your belongings quickly and hand them over. Its a shame really. I carry a undershirt pouch custom made from etsy that carries my wallet, phone, and knife.
You are right it is sad but a very valid consideration. I am in the suburbs but I do spend some time in downtown areas when I go to the office. Undershirt pouch is an interesting idea. If you have a link I would love to check it out.
@@mfinresearch6462 The shop that made it for me on etsy doesn't exist anymore but all i did was look up cell phone pouch. From there i would contact the seller to make adjustments to a design. Some shops will do customs some wont
CCW slings are up for consideration. Not a big fan of off body carry but I do see some areas where they make sense. I will see how they work with hook and loop pouches.
@mfinresearch6462 the smaller socp, and the long walks fanny pack are the best imo. Navigator which is double the capacity is the better larger sling. What I like is the variety in what you can carry and how with its velcro modding
@tacticalpencil you apparently don't have any vertx, so your opinion doesn't matter. There is a back slot for your armament, but can also carry a laptop or phone. So wtf are u talkin about?
this makes me want to step up my sling bag game!
You should. I love sling bags. It might be my favorite item.
Great info!
Thanks, glad you found it helpful!

I had a couple of slings over the year, including fanny packs, but this year, I think the best is Osprey daylite.
I've had a daylite backpack for years. I didn't even put them on the list. I will have to see how it stacks up against the others.

@@orlandocordero7986 great recommendation you might see that one on the channel sooner than you think🤫

I’ve tried tomtoc but not their x-pac. I will get to them one of these days

Not a bad idea. It comes in at a lower price point for the size. I might have to add it to the list.

What sling is that? I really like MR. Didn't they get sold recently?
I'll check it out! Like it is only available second hand. I will keep looking. Thanks for the recommendation.
I need to try more MR. Yeti acquired them back at the beginning of the year.

@@mfinresearch6462 Do you order overseas (Europe)? If yes, i found some of the slings there. 😊
Try the new Toshi 5L sling? Seems to be near perfect. If they had XPAC it would be a 10/10...
It is on my list. I hope there are other options by the time I get to it.

great GAW. You should check out some Tactical Geek stuff
Thanks for the recommendation. They are definitely on the list.

@@mfinresearch6462It wont let me mention other platforms? I replied like 6 times.
That sucks I couldn't get it to happen on my end.
Vertx makes the best
Vertx is ok very good you carry but their stuff isn't practical for a person who doesn't.
