I was fortunate to see over 20 shows on the first Furthur Tour. I can honestly say, no other song made me feel as Jerry was there with us, as when Los Lobos would play Bertha. If this is Irvine, it was there hometown show, and you can tell, they turned it up and tore it up! :)
Amazing band, musicians, songwriters, David Hidalgo one of my all-time heroes. Had the honour of shaking Cesar Rosas' hand at the end of a gig here in 1987 too. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia ✌️
I feel like this is possibly the best band to ever roam the world. Thank you, guys. Especially for that magical night at Le Spectrum du Montreal. That was me, swooning with delight, with my elbow on the stage front. You dudes handled the instruments so reverently, like you were museum archivists of some sort. It was pure rock and roll magic, every single second of it.
Wow! My favourite Grateful song dine superbly by Los Lobos.
The best rock and roll band in america

I was there that day, and still remember the incredible energy all around. Masters of the craft right here. Just amazing. ❤
David Hildago is a really great guitarist and a really great singer !
I saw Los Lobos in concert , they opened up for THE CLASH.

La banda más infravalorada de la historia. Maestros!!!
This is a song about a house fan that the Dead had as the Warlocks. If they turned it up full it would dance round the room! They called it Bertha.
Mr. bass is a badass player!
The 2 bands were big fans of each other!

like Dead ?
which outdoor shed was this at?
It's original, non-corporate name was Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.
Could be Alpine Valley. I know I went to Furthur Fest in ‘96 and ‘97 at Alpine, but it was done at several locations.
Better than deadco. Better than most.
I feel like this was 1996 not 1997.
Yeah, this was '96
@@SteveL-v9udo you know where?
@@mysteriousmij2876 This was Further Festival at Irvine Meadows, California 1996.
Yes it was 1996 as that is what my further festival 1996 shirt says😊
@@johnjaques342 Yes, this was recorded for a segment in the PBS 'On Tour' program.
