Maybe best cover ever recorded of Bertha, but I can name about 36 better Berthas is the late 70's and early 80's and even '94 has at least two surprisingly epic Phil driven Bertha that are far superior. But yes I love this Cover and got to see Los Lobos play this many times and it's always fun!
My absolute favorite song. Seen them live over 30 times, and have witnessed them play Bertha at least 6 times. Never a bad show, A National Treasure indeed .
Great cover. I've seen them 4 times in the last 2 years. Their encore is a medley of Lovelight, Not Fade Away and Bertha! These guys are a national treasure.
I’ve been to so many concerts and Los Lobos at a food/culture festival in Detroit is one of the most fun and excellent concerts I’ve been to. They’re an amazing band.
I had the great fortune of seeing Los Lobos perform this song when they opened for The Dead at Laguna Seca. They truly lived into this tune as much as if they had written it themselves.
Saw Los Lobos in Little Rock at Riverfest shortly after Deadicated came out. Their equipment didn't show up and they had to use North Mississippi All Stars equipment. Rocked this hard - had all the twirly people up!
Growing up, we had a stereo that would randomly play whatever CD was in it. 90% of the time it was this album, this song. Never realized how much I missed it. Thanks for this portal to a different time. Cheers.
The best version of this song ever recorded!
Got me listening to the Dead, when I wasn't "on the bus", forever grateful!
Cant seem to find this version anywhere but youtube!
Dustin White I believe it’s from an album called Deadicated. It’s a bunch of bands doing Dead tributes!

@@denverlovesmusic2881 Several live Los Lobos performances of Bertha are better than EVERY Grateful Dead performance of Bertha.
Deadicated is one of my favorite CDs and Bertha is so wonderfully covered by Los Lobo's absolutely love it !! Im surr Jerry does too 😊

Simply, the BEST Band in America. They can play anything...to perfection.
First heard this while driving to work, when it was lunchtime I had the CD and played it over and over all day while I worked.

I forget to listen to these guys sometimes and every time I come back, It's just amazing how good they are.

One of the greatest American bands....they do it all and do it well!
Underappreciated treasure.

Bertha was my grandmas name, but I love this version of a Dead classic. Thank you
Absolutely Awsome Band! 😎✌️
God it's so nice to hear GD songs by people who can carry a tune :)
Oh come on...that's half the Dead's attraction...whether they are going get the next harmony right, or even close.
Great rendition of Bertha last night at Levon's barn!
Saw Los Lobos in Vegas 97!! They fuckin Killed it!! Then The Dead came out for one big Twirley Jam!! Otfuckinrageous!!
Love this version! (And the Album "Deadicated" is one I listen to often)
Wow. A real band.
