- The seventh of the compilation of train videos covers another household name in Asia, Hitachi. Hitachi is known more for building rolling stock bodies, but also supplies traction control systems which are more commonly found in Japanese rolling stock, though a few export versions also exist.
This video covers GTO-VVVF, IGBT-VVVF (both original and retrofitted) and the latest SiC-VVVF technology. The majority of the rolling stock is based in Japan - including Tokyu 2000 Series, Tokyu 5000 Series, Tobu 30000 Series, Tobu 50000 Series, Toei 12-000 Series, Keio 9000 Series, JR East E259 Series, Osaka Metro 30000 Series - as well as the Sydney Trains A-Set (Waratah) overseas.
Which Hitachi Electric equipped rolling stock is your favourite? Which other train video compilations would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below, and if you like more of these do subscribe to our channel!

3:13今は無き地下鉄半蔵門線直通の東武30000系
10:51今は全編成廃車になった東京メトロ6000系
しかも東京メトロの自動放送が更新される前。全てが懐かしいです!
0:43 that traction motor reminds me of the R160Bs from the MTA Subway over in NYC.
The Waratah trains are most common here in Sydney, since there are 78 Waratahs in service (numbered A01, then A3 to A78, then A80, skipping A79, and A80 is replacement for A02) (car D6379 is replacement for D6342 as it crashed hitting the buffer at Richmond Platform 2 on 22 Jan 2018 just before 10am).
This is for series 1. Series 2 is known as the B sets, which are numbered B1 to B41.
Now that's why I love Tokyo Metro.
Ahh. I saw the NSW train in thumbnail. Well look like.
Yes, it is the A-Set.
Class 465/1 and 465/0 hitachi igbt vvvf DC inverters replaced brush traction, and class 395 javelin hitachi igbt
How time flies...
Except Sydney trains A-set,the dkz13 series of Beijing Metro uses hitachi inverter as well!
Hitachi have built the best trains with the most amazing traction sound especially the Class 800, Class 801, Class 802, Class 803 and Class 385. And Hitachi to manufacture new London Underground tube stocks for the Bakerloo Line & Central Line.
Hitachi definitely has upped the game.
i like JR trains Sydney Trains is all double car is soo big
If you ever did notice Sydney trains are the best of blocking out a lot of the noise from outside.

@@NathanBRing but it's sad to see them go I'll admit
Marcus Ireland wdym the k and the v block out sound quite well the v is actually one of the best when it comes to blocking exterior sound
I saw the new Metrowagonmash 81-717.2K trains in budapest are use Hitachi IGBT VVVF what are you thinking, because the gearbox is still Metrowagonmash's gearbox
The vvvf type is Hitachi VFI-HD1420F
In Saint Petersburg Yubileyny (train) used Hitachi.
A set is the best one tbh
agreed
the tokyo metro 6000-6131F series :3, it has already sold to my place
Where are the class 395 and 800. They both have hitachi igbt
When I heard the waratah train sounds and the one in 1:28 to 2:14 when they leave the station, it reminds me of the sound of the recent subway that is operating in Rio de Janeiro metro (It was built by the same company who built the Sydney trains). Here's the sound from the inside from the Rio de Janeiro CNR train: ua-cam.com/video/cCWu_eudTvU/v-deo.html
3:03 Similar To MTA's M7 & M7A
Those have Mitsubishi motors
Tokyu 8500 series sounds like tokyo metro 9000 series.
CLASS 801 WHERE?
At the start it sound like x’trapolis
