The dates on the cans are not expiration dates, they are telling you when it is at it's freshest last, but likely have a longer life after that.
Thanks Erin.
Erin Meddaugh as long as there isn’t an air bubble pushing up the lid, most foods are still good in cans.
The same can actually be used in most things with an expiration date even medicines as long as their colour, taste, texture and smell didn't change.
Canned foods have a very long shelf life, the dates on cans are best by dates. After that date the quality of the food is likely to go down.

Please keep the MRE videos coming! They are my favorite and you do them best, in my opinion!
I tried the B&M bread in a can because I saw you do it and needed to try it myself. I thought it was quite good with butter.
I love it with cream cheese. In my area you can get two kinds plain or with raisins. It's so good warmed up for a minute and slathered with cream cheese. It it's one of my favorite breakfast treats on a cool or cold day with a big cup of coffee. Love it!
I wish the plain kind was available here. I can only find the one with raisins and I can't eat that kind.
Where can I get it?
@@CricketsBay you can usually order the B&M Original brown bread in a can from Walmart and they also sell it on Amazon. If you don't want the one with raisins the other kind is called original. Good luck!
@@conniekempf4050 I got one off of Amazon. I don't think my stores had it local.
B&M brown bread in a can is good toasted with a dab of butter. I use to have that as a child when times were tough and my mom gave us franks and beans with brown bread. Yummy!
You can't get anything out of a mold can you, my dear girl?😘🤣😂😍
I could just watch a video of Emmy coaxing things out of cans. Her voice is very sweet.
"It's human nature...we all need someone to kiss us goodbye."
Interesting concept tho, all you need to complement these is frosting in a can.
Hi, Emmy! If you have problems with food getting stuck, I'd recommend punching a small hole in the unopened side. It will break the vacuum seal and it should slide right out. Love your videos! :)
How many of us are screaming at the screen, open the bottom and push it out~!!!!
Sonny Girl exactly! Grab a can opener Emmy! Lol 😆
Yassss lol! Exactly! 😋

But if you have to get a can opener for the other end, makes the pull-tab kind of pointless.
The third one came out in about 1/8th the time of the first one. I'd say Emmy has mastered the art of apocalyptic canned cupcake extraction. "No cupcakes were harmed during the making of this video."
I swear I loooooove listening to you describe things. Your voice is so friggin soothing 🙃🤦🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️😂
Drinking game: Take a shot everytime she says in a can.
I thought i heard the Peanuts teacher talking.😆 another great video. I also liked the sound effects on the vinegar pie fail. Lol. Good stuff Emmy. God bless.
Being british, I've 'enjoyed' (more like suffered!) sponge puddings in a can, which are an acquired taste, something I never acquired....... :S
I remember the hamburger in a can.🤗💕 Thanks for thev blast from the past Emmy!! Ha Ha
Your pretty hair is getting long! I love it. 🙂 And I'd be really curious to try the chocolate cupcake. It actually looked pretty good once you cut into it.
Hello 👋 how are you doing
Here's a simple tip for opening stubborn canned foods, Puncture the bottom of the can, just one or two small holes made with the tip of a strong knife will allow most of the suction to release, with a few pats on the bottom of course it comes out easily.
If you cut the other end off w/a regular can opener, you can push the cake out of the larger end.☺️ 🤗
love it when you do these!! thank you for sharing!
The emergency isn't a real emergency. LOOK HOW LONG DID SHE TAKE TO GET THAT OUT OF THE CAN
