If you eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom (which is located inside the castle) they actually give you (or your kids) a wand (or a sword) on your way out.
@@neal_e still think it's tinkerbells wand seeing as they have so many Cinderella and other Disney character references. I gotta rewatch the video. But didn't he pull the wand from the top? I'd think of that as where tinkerbell dusts the castle tbh. But idk. It's still cool as fuck
I love how much more colourful and spacious this one is, making a lot of use of the interior space. Minifig selection is really nice as well, like to see the Tangled and Princess and the Frog rep. I think it's seriously missing Belle and Beast though.
It would probably be a big fig situation which would be very limited. The dance feature wouldn’t work with wide spread legs and low ceilings. It’s a good idea though. Lego need to make some kind of suggestion website where people can suggest sets we want to see and we’ll be able to get figs and builds we want.
@@siepie830 But that requires 10,000 people to like it. It also requires talent and skill which not everyone has. I’d say maybe if like 5000 people suggest the same thing then Lego will review it to see if it’s good. If not, they can put it on a list of things they have vetoed so people don’t do it again.
The 2016 castle is one of my favorite sets, and yet this is somehow even better! This is absolutely exquisite. I love all the details and how big and spacious it is, and the minifigures are incredible
To my taste this one looks better than the old one, I especially appreciate more detailed towers. But to be honest, when I first heard it's coming - I kinda wanted to see a fully enclosed castle (although it would probably cost an arm and a leg in that case). Great review as always!
I recently got back into Lego starting with the NES and it’s been a rabbit hole of large display sets since. But like the UCS Falcon, it’s just too big without a dedicated space for it. Writing your reviews before filming and having experience as a designer really set you apart and the length of your videos are perfect. Looking forward to this year’s top sets list!
I’ve noticed how a lot of people think the wand has different meaning and I like that. My first thought since it was with the cinema camera was that it’s the wand from the Disney channel that actors would wave around to make the Disney logo. But maybe the wand symbols more than just one meaning
I think the wand is referencing the beginning from the episodes of the disneyland opening TV show, when Tinkerbell passes her wandover the sign saying Disneyland. It could also be from the disney 100 announcement, but that's inspired by the intro from the TV show. I like this version of the castle better (but I think the set could include Mickey), great review as always, Tiago!☺ The minifigures from the CMF series really complete this set!
Not really a disney fan but love the color update compared to the last set. Just wanted to say you're my favorite lego reviewer--always so detailed in analysis and impartial with your review
7:31 Totally agree Tiago, I’m becoming a bigger fan of small, highly detailed, diorama sets too. I hope these become the mainstay of adult Lego sets in the future.
I love their new design philosophy of making the building open in the back, not only do you save pieces and thus make the set cheaper, but it makes it easy to access. So many great older sets are completely pointless, because you cannot get inside the building unless you take it apart. And while it sucks for city builders, most people don't have lego cities. They just want it to be able to stand on a shelf.
@@whatalansaid Oh that could definitely work as well. Obviously if this set had a backside, i imagine the part count would be some 2000 bricks more and thus a lot more expensive.
The Princess Minifigures are a Slam-dunk-Hole-in-one-goalie-shot-home-run in quality, That look amazing and gorgeous. I'm buying the set mainly for them, the build is amazing, too!
I think the wand is a reference to the intro of Tinkerbell. But, I also took my daughter to Disney Magic Kingdom recently, and during the fireworks show at the end of the night Tinkerbell flies over the crowd with her wand. So it could be a reference to that also since there’s a firework element included in the build.
I also agree, the smaller "adult" sets are much more appealing to me now too 🙌 The dioramas like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones are a bit too big to display, but the Star Wars ones are fantastic IMHO. . Great video though, great set too.
My only problem with this set is that if you look at it from behind it will just be like open, same thing if you look at it from the top its just like your building half of the set,i would prefer if it was like the Lion knight’s castle set,all build yet can be opened and closed by a couple of hinges.
I love this new set uses the 50th-anniversary colours from the castle (it looks so much better than the last one for this IMO). But the price and size would put me off - for me I like models that I can display, I tend to build and display them so as much as I love the references inside for me I would only really see them as I'm building. So I think I'll be sticking to my smaller but perfectly formed 50th-anniversary castle - it's nicely closed up and has a few nods to appreciate as you build and looks lush on my red shelf 🥰 Great review as always!
If you didn't know what that wand was refrencing then go watch Peter Pan, it's the wand of the fairy in the movie. Don't remember her name in english though, only in Norwegian.

I'm really happy that this exists because it adds extremely sought after minfigs and provides some fun easter eggs. However I have one big issue which I can't get out of my mind. Why remake something that's already been made? I know this set adds to the already beautiful disney castle prior to this, but the differences are so minor to the point where I can't distinguish why this was made. It also makes getting these really cool minifigures really hard to get. But that's just my take on it.
I'm glad, as I had to sell my own set of the older version due to some financial struggles. Now I can possibly get this set before it's out of production
They want something new on the shelf. Some folks buy EVERY set. Look at how many Luke landspeeders there are. Plus the boom with LEGO during COVID means plenty of new spenders.
I knew we would get a new Lego Magic Kingdom castle when they painted the castle in 2020, it was just a to good opportunity to not make a new version after the paint job. Now I want this one too lol
I'm a little late watching this review but the colorful leaves just outside the back I took it as a reference to Frozen 2's "Samantha". But the Pocahontas minifigure looks good there as well! Glad I got the whole series so I can display them when I get the set eventually!
Finally have my pennies saved and I’m torn between this, the lighthouse, the Daily Bugle, and Lion Castle. Every time I think I know what I want to drop $400 on, LEGO seems to up their game.
Arguably the best part of the Lego Disney Castle set is how many levels the inside has! At around 80cm/32in tall, there's a lot of height to work with in minifig scale, 8 levels of fun!
@@TiagoCatarinois it weird that I dismantle my sets after admiring/playing with them a few weeks? I add the pieces back into the collection, and figure I can always build it again if I want! I just don’t have room in my apartment for a bunch of display pieces.

I think it’s Tinker Bell’s since she uses that piece and Fairy Godmother doesn’t have a star on it

- The Castle of Magical Dreams from Hong Kong Disneyland, which could be a combo with the Disneyland castle, as it originally was a copy and they just recently build its expansion.
- Enchanted Storybook Castle from Shanghai Disneyland, which is absolutely massive.
If they wanted they could also do other park icons...
- Spaceship Earth from Walt Disney World's Epcot
- The Tree of Life from WDW's Animal Kingdom
- Mount Prometheus from Tokyo DisneySea
- The Tower of Terror, which at this point could come in three versions:
> The Hollywood Tower Hotel from WDW's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Paris's Walt Disney Studios (as Disney once made a TV movie about it, I don't think they need to pay CBS/Paramount/Viacom a license fee as long as they don't mention The Twilight Zone)
> Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout from Disneyland's California Adventure
> The Hightower Hotel from Tokyo DisneySea
