I like the look of the ‘21 better
The outside design of the civic 21 seems more distinct than most cars and that's what I like about it. The 22 looks I lil bit more plain and looks like an accord. If not for the civic badge I would have thought it was an accord.
I agree. I actually was driving next to the 2022 Civic and I didn't even really care until I saw the Civic lettering on it. It just looks extremely generic compared to the 10th gen
The 2022 body civic literally reminds me of the 1994 model...
🤔👀👁️ The devil you say😈
And I loved my 94 Civic V Tec Coupe....
New to your channel. Awesome review man. Huge fan. Thx for the content
You welcome! Hard to do videos like this while working full time but I believe in hard work 👌🏼💯💪🏼
This guy is 100% bias lol 😆 the 2021 definitely is more aggressive no comparison
😂💀 go see it in person.
Inside = 2022
Outside = 2021
When previous model looks more modern than the new model
U call that modern? Its pretty much design by 10 years old ricer
I think what you mean is that it looks sportier. But doesn't necessarily mean it's more modern looking.
Yeah I get some 90s vibes with the new one, it’s a bit retro.
Good job, thanks...
I bought a 2021 Honda Civic three weeks ago absolutely love it looks awesome much better than the 22
Dont regret it later
@@haziqehsan Good luck with fake exhaust tips and inferior single cam safety equipment.
The design is boring, unispired and lacks Japanese spirit.
Swap an Audi or Kia badge on that thang and nobody will blink an eye.
@@Cruzinbrother dude... ever heard EG6?
THANK YOU!
Ahora dilo sin llorar XD
honestly hate the ipad style infotainment on the 22. 21 looks much better imo.
2021 exterior is better.
2022 interior is better.
Artsuma if you want to combine better exterior and interior get the accord
@@justinyanos6460 Which one has better fuel economy? Also, which one drives smoother?
I'll would love to see the new color of meteor gray instead of black, but great comparison!
The new one just looks too much like a Jetta. Which in no way is a bad thing but Honda was on to a better look with the 10th gen. then lost their way. 🤔
The 2022 would have looked a lot better if they had made that front end plastic a gloss black instead of that flat black. The same way they did the Accord.. That flat black cheapens the look of the front end. I went and saw a Touring last Sunday and that flat black really took away from the cars appearance.🚗
I agree with you 100% 👌🏼👌🏼
The only thing that’s different from Audi haha!
I swear, swap an Audi or Cadillac badge on it and nobody will blink an eye.
Are the 2022 civics easier to get in and out of..? I found the previous model to be difficult to get in/out...(it seemed lower to the ground?)
Yes 2022 is lower, but getting in and out feels the same. My dad is thinking to sell his 2018 civic and get HRV
@Dale Macarena ➊ no just the ex
Hopefully Honda brings the startup chime back to the Accord for 2022. The 2021 Accord startup chime reminds me of Mitsubishi.
2021 look is much better than the 2022.
I want the next gen civic to be a little more aggressive. Just between Civic X and Civic XI more like a hybrid style between this two generation civic.
If you want an aggressive civic there is the Si and type R
I like the 2022’s simple design without all the harsh edges on the 2021. It reminds me of a small 4 door bmw.
I like how the front looks reminds me of the 90's...kind of Integra like.
I love the minimalist look of the 2022. Looks like an Audi.
It does 👌🏼
Exactly the point why 10th gen is better.
11th gen looks like every other boring car on the road with fake exhaust tips.
Simply swap the Honda badge to Cadillac or Audi and nobody will blink an eye. Why bother with real Audi then?
‘22 is a mishmash of different style cues from European and American brands.
Another reason for me to get a Challenger that sticks to its roots and doesn’t try to look like anything else.
It looks more like a Toyota Corolla to me
The 22 looks more like a rental car of any particular brand. No soul, and no character.
How exactly does a larger 2022 hood equal lighter weight and a smaller 2021 hood equal a heavier weight? Weight distribution perhaps?
Aluminium vs Steel?
@@soradet.m3647
That could be it, not sure if the material is different between the 2 generations or not.
Yes aluminum. My 2013 had steel and was short and heavy and my 2018 accord had aluminum and was longer.
@@Iegend17
Thanks for clarifying that. Good to know.
There was like 4 songs playing at the beginning
That’s so weird. Thank you so much. I am going to look into this
they sacrificed interior quality material for exterior styling. full led headlights and 18inch wheels with low profile tires.
I like the exterior of the 2021 and the interior of the 2022.
Here in Brazil the Civic is an expensive car for most people, i was checking out the 2021 Touring and it has soft-touch materials on the top of both the front and rear doors, leather at the side of the doors (front and back), it also has vents for rear passengers.
Yes the touring is expensive here in the USA as well 🤓, We personally own the 2020 Honda civic Sport 6speed manual with the K20C2 engine Naturally Aspirated.
Drag race plz
Its not gonna sale as much as the 2016 civic to 2021 this looks of the car is for ages of 40-50 and up. Younger buyers will go corolla or elantra for sure!
That’s not true. The 22 is sportier. But one of the reasons it might not do good is Becuase everyone wants suvs now
How much sportier? I'm curious.
Turning radius, ground clearance, length, height, weight, stabilizer bars?
No double deck spoilers and no aggressive/muscular styling.
So far '19 Hatch Sport wins in muscular retrofuturistic styling, shorter length, smaller ground clearance, more hp and less weight vs. '22 Hatch Sport. I'm aware that '22 Hatch Sport has N/A 2.0L vs. '19 turbo 1.5L.
I'd rather buy a hatch or a wagon than SUV unless it's a full-size van.
If by sportier you mean slower, then yes, it’s sportier.
the 2022 does not look aggressive at all.
We personally own the 2020 Honda civic Sport in 6 speed manual, Is why I am a fan of the 2020 because you can't get a manual in a 22 Sedan 😎.
🤜🤛👌👏🙏
I love the new look for the civic can’t wait to see the si model
Sameee
Wow very disappointed with Honda the 2022 is a drop backwards for sure. I hope they learn from Toyota’s 2012-2016 Camry disaster. Toyota did the right thing making a nice sporty looking car and listened to their consumers. Honda has always been the envy of the road with its aggressive designs. It’s not about not liking change but this is a Jetta now let’s be honest (nothing against Jetta’s).
I own the 22 black on black
It’s beautiful
@@Iegend17 my windows are tinted black as well
I feel like i’m being gaslit that the 22’ looks better LOLL. The 22’ is definitely more modern in its appearance, while simultaneously looking more bland.
Honda could done a little better job redesign on the 22 civic I don't like that bugle in the front
My thoughts: 2021 Hatch looks better, while the 2022 sedan looks better.
The 21’ looks better, the interior on 22’ is just new with the vents and pop up infotainment screen. I like the 21’ more because there was thought put into it and is a Japanese design not an American “ boring design”. The vents are the only thing nice on the 22’ that’s it.
The 2022 does not have lane watch camera and interior is generic ugh......
I unfortunately hate the 2022 outside, inside is ok…….like the 2021 outside but the inside feels way cramped with dashboard coming from my 2014 that I loved……unfortunately I have bought another type car after 5 new Honda Civic’s I bought……makes me sad that I have gone to another make and model, hope I will love my 2022 Subaru Legacy……..so far I am loving it
-“You can use my cars for review , but you need to speak wonders about the new Civic, although nobody likes it “
- Ok, deal
- 🙄
No not really. Maybe you need to see it in person. My dad has 2018 and the 2022 is much better. Check out my POV test drive of the sport 2022. It drove worse than my dad’s 2018.
@@Iegend17 so the 2022 drove worse
@@suavgaming yes
The 22 is a flop
10th gen looks more aggressive
They messed up on the side mirrors of the 2022 civic
How about globalist design with no distinct Japanese identity, ‘iPad’ infotainment, fake exhaust tips, halogen rear turn signals and single cam safety equipment?
I hands down love the 2022 honda civic the simple design just makes the car so much better and the new platform is more stable and tight in corners, I dont like the 10th gen design just too much going on in the front end that makes it look not very good thats why i picked a 11th gen civic
Fuck was that intro music? 😂
So the music I used got copy righted. So UA-cam forced me to change it and if I didn’t they wouldn’t pay me for this video. So I had to choose from their list and yes it’s not the best 😂😂
love F40 style or honda hsv 010.don't know why honda top office let this 2022 civic out to market.
12 min into the video and you didn't even open up the cars
2021 elantra smokes this car is bigger and more spacious. And get better mpg numbers. 50mpg from la to san diego half tank of gas there n back. Honda please widen your civic and then ill buy one.
This review was extremely bias.
I agree.
aren't we all...
the 22 has this retro style in it
2016-21 is more retro or retrofuturistic if you will than this bastard child of a Crosstour.
Think of Japanese 80s anime such as Patlabor, Gundam, Ghost in the Shell and Akira. 10th gen Civic looks like it came from the past vision of the future which makes it retrofuturistic and therefore more retro.
11th gen is just more simpler, uninspired and lacking Japanese identity. It’s like a globalist vision of a people’s car.
The 22 looks like it harkens back to the mid 90s civics. 😎🤘🏻
You keep saying the 22 is aggressive it’s not. Lol It’s weak.
We will arrange a day for you to come see it yourself
@@Iegend17 😂I’ve seen it. Honda Accord 2.0.
22 it’s trash period.
Exactly! Globalist trash!
It looks like every other boring car on the road. I swear, several years from now all cars will be even more identical.
Simply swap the Honda badge to Kia or Audi and nobody will blink an eye.
It’s a mishmash of different style cues from European and American brands.
Where’s distinct Japanese spirit?
If I want a European car - I go to VW.
If want a luxury European car - I go to Audi.
Honda betrays itself.
I see 10th gen to rise in value. Especially considering you can easily DIY-swap fake vents to real metal ones.
Good luck with your fake exhaust tips, 11th gen ricers!
Dude even liked the Civic badge of the 22 over 21, a little, new car is better because it's new vibe from this review lol
The mirrors on the door of the civic 2022 is not much better it makes it easy for it to get broken even when it is folded it should have been in the corner of the door not on the door that's just a way for honda and every other car company to make money the mirrors on the 2021 civic fold in close to the body of the car so you don't have to worry about anyone braking you side mirrors
ESP when the blind spot monitoring is in the mirror
10th gen enjoyer here. Who needs this trash boomer electronics that adds weight to the car? Adjust mirrors to eliminate blind spots. Get wider interior mirror and turn your head which is a good exercise. Fixed and done.
Mess up? U blind?
Did you watch the video ? Lol.
@@Iegend17 your title state everythings
@@haziqehsan I clearly like the 22. I literally said that. Plus a lot of people are saying that Honda did mess up. I don’t think they did. You just gotta be smart choosing the titles on UA-cam :)
Lol all this conflict in the comments. Lemme tell ya, i dont think honda messed up. However i do think they could have been more conservative with the sporty, aggressive looks of the previous generations to target the younger consumers, which i think led to disappointment among many ppl. It's a more laid-back and mature design, cleaner but a bit less exciting exterior. What i do love is especially the interior. Very intuitive and less claustrophobic. In the end, if i want a very sporty and exciting car, i would go higher up in the hierarchy and go for an entry-level corvette.
Im sure Honda knows exactly what they’re doing, i love the new look even if people say its soft i dig they made it look more grown up
I think the 2021 has better interior then the 2022 but the exteriors better on the 22
The last generation was too cartoonish. The 11th gen is much more tasteful and classy. I was always an accord guy but I’m really digging this new civic and that’s wheeler my money is going when the Si comes out.
The last generation of the Civic sportier models were definitely cartoonish looking something about the spoiler looked ridiculous. If you are an Accord guy you would never be satisfied with the Civic.I left my Accord to get serviced one day and they gave me a Civic with 300 miles on it. I was so glad to get back to my car and get away from that hard uncomfortable ride and loud underpowered car in comparison.. It was normal for a compact car. There is night and day difference between a midsize car and compact car.
Taste is a subjective matter.
Cartoonish yes, that’s its magic. It looks like a distinct 80s Japanese anime robot such as Patlabor or Gundam.
It looks nothing like other cars on the road. And it’s a budget sporty econobox that looks on par if not better than some other sports cars out there.
@@charlesjackson1700 At least that spoiler is functional from the factory unlike fake exhaust tips on the 11th gen.
@@CruzinbrotherThe devil😈 you say ??? 🧔
@@Cruzinbrother 🙄😳😲😖
2022 is ugly :(
After few years you will change your mind :)
i agree, the 2022 model looks much better than last year's model. Not sure why all Japanese vehicle have become so ugly but this is a huge improvement in the right direction.
Says you.
The 21 looks like a kids toy, and a toy overall. 22 is WAY better.
honestly if I want a boring car I'd get a Camry. I specifically got my 20' Sport Hatch for the unique identity that the styling gives off
22 is miles better. 21 is over the top.
You know nothing about cars, shill.
Sorry. Honda created another bland auto. The 2021 at least has character lines. The 2022, smooth and lame. New is not always better.
The 2022 Honda Civic is so much better
10th gen civic was such a tacky looking design, with too many sharp lines and pseudo-machismo exterior. The taillights were the worst part of the overall design. They look like boomerangs . The ‘22 Civic is so much more refined and mature. It dosen’t scream: “Hey look at me, I need the attention.”
