I am obsessed with everything about this. Them showing Anakin with a Red Saber, showing how powerful he would have become if he hadn’t lost to Obi Wan. That's still Vader, even without the suit. "The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by lord Vader." - that was before the physical transformation with the suit.

@dre6191 actually he is pre suit Vader since he has his sith eyes....once palpatine reclaimed him Darth Vader than he is Vader after that just before the suit.....we seen the jedi Anakin than one we see his red saber and sith eyes he becomes pre suit Vader like at the scene where he was fighting Obi Wan...he stopped being Anakin after he became Palpatine's apprentice
@@jamesnoonan2009see that’s the thing I think though, he truly didn’t 100% become Vader until after the fight with Obi wan. @alechamilton1864 to me once he was appointed Darth Vader by Palpatine is what I'm going by....the suit just reinforces that he is Vader but Vader is the darkside of Anakin
The only time we ever saw ANAKIN SKYWALKER with a red lightsaber was in Star Wars Episode III for Playstation 2 when both P1 and P2 take on Anakin character... Since then it's been more than 15 years, I ALWAYS WONDERED when Star Wars would do that.
In this lesson it’s Anakin, showing Ahsoka his Vader side and giving her the closure she needs. Perfect - the subtle touches in these scenes were so powerful and well done.
When he was coming out of the smoke I wanted Vader to walk out so bad but then with the flashes and anikins Sith eyes I thought nevermind Dave knows what he’s doing I’ll just shut up
That’s not “Sith Anakin.” That’s the Darth Vader himself. He didn’t become Vader when he put the black armor suit on. He became Darth Vader in Ep 3. The scene where we saw the Sith eyes after he killed the Separatists was the exact moment he came Darth Vader. The black suit was only just keeping him alive. Y’all should know this.
What people dont realize is this version of Vader would be more powerful and difficult to defeat. Vader's heavy swings but without a mechanical suit to restrict movement, he would naturally have the speed and agility of Anakin. this would have been the Darth Vader that Obi-Wan did not defeat on Mustafar
Real, the actress for ahsoka is not really good, meanwhile Hayden really was giving zero efforts into this fight yet still gave a few beautiful swing sequences
I agree but to be fair… out of any of the other Star Wars actors and actresses, Ewan McGregor is the only other one who could keep up with Hayden… which is why the fight on Mustafar will always be the best lightsaber battle in the history of Star Wars. It won’t be topped ever.
I wonder if Ahsoka's scenes will get better. I feel that up to this point her lack of conviction has weakened her, and after this we may see some return to her former power.
She fights Anakin and Vader. Anakin can now control both light and dark side as the chosen one. If you haven’t seen the clone wars series Anakin essentially took over the fathers place.
Anakin disappearing over her shoulder the same way he appeared was the moment that really got me & that was trimmed from pretty much all of the reactions 😢
What it shows is that Darth Vader is very much a part of Anakin Skywalker. This is Anakin Skywalker able to use the Darkside under his complete control. What is Darth Vader his Lightsaber form why is much more aggressive the power he has is the same what it is without any restraint. When he uses his Jedis like he’s in complete control your office and not told me that if you notice the difference of Anakin Skywalker versus his apprentice in comparison to Darth Vader versus his apprentice . This is amazing. This was a concept idea that they never used in the sequel trilogy, and I’m glad for it. Because we get to see it here allowed to see who fills in to die but mom lives Star Wars Anakin Skywalker Darth Vader in the form of Hayden Christensen!!!
The fact people are saying “is it going to be Vader” before he comes out of the fog. Like, that IS Vader, peak Vader how he would have been if he hadn’t lost his limbs and been burned. They couldn’t have done it any better, seeing Anakin be who he would have been had he not lost on Mustafar was amazing
THIS is what SW fans of old have been waiting for! This was EPIC and showed the true awesomeness of BOTH Anakin AND Vader. Hayden is amazing, always has been, just took some people a bit to catch up. This and Luke’s appearance in Mando made me so emotional, it was amazing!
I think the entire point of the episode is to see what could have been, obviously anakin is doing this to help her survive and as a Force ghost who tapped into both sides of the Force in life he has this ability to show who he was in both aspects. But for us fans while they could have done the full Vader suit, we are getting to see a what if version of vader if he hadn't needed the suit at the same time so some nice fan service, as we did just get him in the full vader suit for Obi Wan Kenobi show so.
Hayden Christensen may had a bumpy start as Anakin (ROTS is really good) but DAMN you can tell he is having fun again Edit: Also THANK YOU Dave Filoni for creating possible the best episode yet
He doesn’t need to show up as vader anymore, back then when he was still dark side yes he was just “Vader” and anakin was no longer present. Now it’s no longer the case, both the light side(anakin) and the dark side(vader) have become one, becoming balance and we get a glimpse at the potential of anakin skywalker that the emperor truly feared. Hope to see more of anakin in the future.
Anakin and Vader are one, but in the end the light (Anakin) won out, so he is both (balance) with Anakin as primary with the knowledge of both. Ahsoka was frozen, unable to progress in the force and become the Master she should be out of fear of becoming like Anakin. Anakin/Vader helped her see and choose wisely, without fear. Making her the "White Jedi" and Master she was destined to be and the Galaxy needs.
Anakin fits well here into the fact established in The Phantom Menace of having no earthly father. He's like the Mortis God, the Father, representing the balance in the Force. The possibilities in such a state are endless for teaching anyone wanting to live and go anywhere if they can only find their way or be pulled into the World Between Worlds.
When Anakin walked off into the cloud of dust, he had all sorts of people walking with him, but the second Vader's silhouette showed up, there was only him and no one else. Beautiful.
They've definitely put in their effort on this. When Anakin becomes a Sith, his combat stance and style becomes far more forceful and singular, very much similar to Vader in the original films, as opposed to Anakin's more elaborate Jedi techniques of the prequels.
“Is that what this is about?” That line never gets old as there is so much meaning in it. Same with: “I’ve heard that before.” Which he’s referencing Luke & acknowledging himself as Vader.
This scene made me watch the entire Ashoka series.. GG WP! This, Luke's cameo in Mandalorian, Vader vs Obi-Wan and Rogue One are probably the best Star Wars content since Episode III. Too bad we just get it every 2-3 years and lasts minutes..
Anakin is Balance in the Force. He was the only one who could live in both sides of the force and truly embody both aspects. There is no light or dark, just the force.
I like to believe that the reason Anikin never fights her in the Vader get-up is because to Ashoka he was ALWAYS Anikin. And her dip into dark was that over the years like all Jedi she has had to make a choice, there is always a choice.
Honest to god, this episode could have been a movie. And the entire audience would have fully lost their $#!T. No one would have left unsatisfied. No one.
People think that seen Anakin with a red saber means he’s more powerful but it just means he’s going to go all out and no mercy. Essentially light side Anakin pulls his punches but is still strong.
Saw Anakin, and was excited seeing his fighting style again. Saw Vader, and was literally terrified by the ferocity of his fighting. So awesome to see Hayden as Anakin again.
This is why...well one of the reasons why, you don't make child soldiers. Something very poetic about Anakin becoming Vader as he walks into battle after battle.
She can't beat anakin he let her take his Saber so she could make a decision but he's a way better fighter if he wanted to kill her she would be dead but he wasn't trying to he was trying to teach her her last lesson and make a point
Vader was always someone who existed without the suit in Anakin Skywalker the suit was just a stand in a mask to hide the monster unleashed albeit a little and now Vader is back at his prime to help his other side( his true self) to make his beloved apprentice let go of the belief that she made him and shit seeing this scene again with you guys here was a lot of eye openers like one Ahsoka's eyes turning orange or red for a brief moment when she holds the lightsaber to his neck and two the technique she uses to disarm him being the exact same technique he used to disarm Count Dooku or Darth Tyranus on the Invisible Hand starship cool guy very cool 👍
Ok, I honestly thought I was seeing things, I guess Ashoka’s eyes were Sith for a second. We literally haven’t seen Sith Ashoka since the Clone Wars, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen live action Anakin with a red lightsaber along with Sith eyes which honestly makes him more intimidating
Anakin now possesses the power that Palpatine first promised him. The power to save the ones he cared about from dying.

Why does everybody miss this? She IS fighting Vader. The suit does not make him Vader. Yellow-eyed Anakin IS VADER the way he was meant to be.
They think Vader is a costume lol but dw Real Star Wars fans know better.
Hate it every time I hear someone call Vader as Anakin. Vader was born the second he took a knee in Palpatine's office and became his new apprentice.
@@rashadlewis8345 Seen more than a few people still call Darth Vader as Anakin in reactions. Even while watching the original series.
The suit and breathing are iconic. I can't really blame them.
I think the best description I saw in another comment on another video was something like: "this is the Vader that Obi-Wan robbed Palpatine of by dismembering him on Mustafar."
I am obsessed with everything about this. Them showing Anakin with a Red Saber, showing how powerful he would have become if he hadn’t lost to Obi Wan. They really showcase just how ridiculously powerful Anakin was. This was amazing.
Anakin: “I gave you a choice. Live, or die…”
Ahsoka: “No….”
Anakin: “…..incorrect…..”
CHILLS!!!!
Also, that music was FIRE!
Eh, he ended up losing the fight so it didn’t really feel like we saw his true potential, just what he would look like.
@@vinny9256He could've have EASILY decapitated Ashoka if he wanted too, but for arguments sake his intentions wasn't to kill her but to TEACH HER A LESSON WHILE FINISHING HER TRAINING. Did you even watch the show AT ALL?? LMAAOOOOO.
Anakins “Lesson" wasn’t even a lesson nir was it something that Ashoka needed to learn… her finishing her "training" was nothing more than someone telling her generic simple words that she should have known already. There are no deeper themes in this episode other than some surface level crap that a child would understand.
Now....put up this prime Anakin (Chosen One), against any Force user throughout lore....no one can touch this kind of balanced Anakin/Knightfall/Vader combination. He was only using a fraction of his strength to teach Ahsoka and Ahsoka is no slouch! This is Anakin/Knightfall/Vader on "God-mode". Glad we get to see a balanced Anakin in control of Vader. Just wise and terrifying at the same time!
amen
We own an apology to Hayden Christensen, he just showed an amazing acting and his saber skills are top notch on this episode!
Sorry Hayden! you gave us so much and we gave so little in return!
I don't. I've respected and loved what he's done with the role since I was a child. It's those scumbags that bashed him, and little Jake Lloyd they need to apologise.
@@GreenFalcon926yep
I always loved his acting. Especially in Star Wars and Jumper
Sorry but "we" didn't don't owe him an apology and didn't give him anything little. It's George Lucas who you should be saying owes Hayden Christensen an apology and those bunch of stupid fans who bashed the movies extra hard
@@SlimKim3 I read an article before regarding the first trilogy, in the article it is stated that Mark Hamill (Luke) and George Lucas were in constant argument with the scripts because George is bad at script writing and Mark’s argument is to revise the scripts and it is them the actors who will get thrown tomatoes (Hate) at them because of the bad scripts, not George, so in Hayden’s case, he probably just accepted George’s scripts without question despite being bad so he got all the tomatoes (Hate) as a result.
This Episode proofs that Hayden is a really good actor
Vader as he would have been had he not been injured or burned... full potential! Incredible!
Ahsoka is actually fighting Vader here. That's the point. Everyone wants to differentiate Anakin from Vader, but they are one and the same. He doesn't need the suit to be Vader, he turned into Vader before the suit was ever created
love Anakin..... and Darth Vader is the best villain ever created in a movie or series. So much charisma and a heavy presence that he gives every time chills
Thanos is not so far...
@@sorbonnien6I think Vader is more iconic villain then Thanos
@@МагомедИбрагимов-ч6б There will never be a more iconic villain than Darth Vader. His design alone is what got Star Wars off the ground and then they expanded him.
Heath Ledger as the Joker
Waaaaay better villain
Way more terrifying than an asmatic guy in a suit
@@martylandon5568 Lol no. Darth Vader is literally the most known movie villain that has ever been existed. From his voice by JEJ and his physical movement by David Prowse, he dominated any scene he was in. No-one has more villain clout than Vader and never will. Look at any list of known villains and he is number 1.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one lol watching the episode when it drops and then spending the next week in between watching reaction videos on UA-cam 😅👍
That's still Vader, even without the suit.
"The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by lord Vader." - that was before the physical transformation with the suit.
AS SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT !
This is ABSOLUTELY Anakin himself, after Death, he truly became the Chosen one, and his duty now has become to Guide, Train, Enlighten others who go there. He's freely able to Control and Switch between any and all Dark or Light Side Force stuff easily.
He recognized Snips, he was proud of her ; - ;
I think anakin is my favorite duelist. Those strikes look powerful. Hayden is awesome
When Anakin turn into Vader, his mannerism change & talk only creepy one liner. Awesome!
I never expected Anakin saying incorrect would become a meme.
This was worth the wait, I'm glad Hayden is getting the love now, sad it took 20 years, the visuals were amazing.
I like how Anakin literally embodies the balance of the Force.
Was hoping someone would catch that just for a second as Ashoka was fighting with herself about killing Anakin that her eyes flickered to a Sith yellow.
Do people realize he was Vader when he had the sith eyes, he just doesn't have the suit on....also anakin wasn't trying to kill ahsoka
Well technically becoming vader in that time because that episode 3 Anakin
@dre6191 actually he is pre suit Vader since he has his sith eyes....once palpatine reclaimed him Darth Vader than he is Vader after that just before the suit.....we seen the jedi Anakin than one we see his red saber and sith eyes he becomes pre suit Vader like at the scene where he was fighting Obi Wan...he stopped being Anakin after he became Palpatine's apprentice
Agreed. Anakin is basically a god now. He cares about ahsoka and was teaching her a lesson, not trying to kill her.
@@jamesnoonan2009see that’s the thing I think though, he truly didn’t 100% become Vader until after the fight with Obi wan. In the original rots script, after Obi Wan wins, Anakin said “help me master” as a last cry for help. They edited the dialogue after filming but you can still slightly see Hayden mouth the words
She kills it as young Ashoka.
In this lesson it’s Anakin, showing Ahsoka his Vader side and giving her the closure she needs. Perfect - the subtle touches in these scenes were so powerful and well done.
Question…what “closure" did Ashoka need from that she didn’t have already?
Funny how people are like show up as Vader when as soon as he turned on his red saber I was like oh shit Vader is here
"Live or die."
Obi wans force ghost in the background.
"Only a Sith deals in Absolutes."
When he was coming out of the smoke I wanted Vader to walk out so bad but then with the flashes and anikins Sith eyes I thought nevermind Dave knows what he’s doing I’ll just shut up
These are arguably the greatest shots of Vader. Can we just get an Anakin series/movie already!!
This scene was the greatest 10 min of Star Wars cinematic history
My dude kicked her so hard she was 30 years older when she landed
😂
The Age Kick Strike :)
Well force sensitive togrutas can live up to 200yrs, so she may still be considered young for her species
Why isn’t this upvoted more! C’mon fans. That was funny.
He was Vader without the armor..he was named Vader before obiwan fight
What people dont realize is this version of Vader would be more powerful and difficult to defeat. Vader's heavy swings but without a mechanical suit to restrict movement, he would naturally have the speed and agility of Anakin. this would have been the Darth Vader that Obi-Wan did not defeat on Mustafar
Anakins ending in the ROTS PS2 game.
It hurts having to see Hayden slow down and dumb down his lightsaber skills because the other actors can’t keep up.
@@Viper72it could be.....mauls actor can wield a blade too. And a double saber at that.
I wonder if Ahsoka's scenes will get better. I feel that up to this point her lack of conviction has weakened her, and after this we may see some return to her former power.
@@IllustriousCrocoduck it would be interesting to see. However, I think it’s the actress unfortunately. They should have used a stunt double.
There once was a man named Dave.
A franchise he wanted to save.
He gave us a spark,
That left it’s Mark,
By giving us what we crave.
Starting with Rebels, The Spark of Rebellion.
You’re really reaching… from a writing perspective this episode is awful.
The smile one my face could not have any bigger during this episode!
I love the last reaction 🥰. Mary Cherry reaction was awesome.
I want to see the behind the scenes and dave just talking about this episode for 1 hours its so good.
You can see all the boys are really so hype when they are watching this.
Best episode of anything Star Wars.
I really like the image of Anakin followed by clone troopers and local fighters around him and then he turns into Vader but he walks alone.
That lighting scene is one of the greatest Star Wars scenes ever. There I said it
the best star wars scene thats happened in along time
Still amazes me how so few caught her eye change lol.
The shot of Anakin/Vader is amazing.
Hayden Christensen may had a bumpy start as Anakin (ROTS is really good) but DAMN you can tell he is having fun again
Edit: Also THANK YOU Dave Filoni for creating possible the best episode yet
Honestly one of the best, if not the best episode in Star Wars history. It was perfect
I think people forget when they want suited vader that none suited vader is far more powerfull
To see this finally come full circle in live action.... its so bittersweet
I just want a whole season of just Sith and their side of things maybe even the days before yoda, would be hellish but lit 🔥
That's what the Acolyte series will be about. Let's hope that series is good.
Dave Filoni is George Lucas 2.0!
He did such an amazing job making this episode.
Well done man! 🙂👏
I grew up watching anakin and FINALLY seeing him with a red lightsaber, I got so happy.
When Anakin walked off into the cloud of dust, he had all sorts of people walking with him, but the second Vader's silhouette showed up, there was only him and no one else. Beautiful.
Those transitions from anakin to vader with the music is just pure fire
They've definitely put in their effort on this. When Anakin becomes a Sith, his combat stance and style becomes far more forceful and singular, very much similar to Vader in the original films, as opposed to Anakin's more elaborate Jedi techniques of the prequels.
I love that he literally kicked her into the next scene
“Is that what this is about?”
That line never gets old as there is so much meaning in it. Same with: “I’ve heard that before.” Which he’s referencing Luke & acknowledging himself as Vader.
Blind Wave always have the best Star Wars reactions!
This scene made me watch the entire Ashoka series.. GG WP! This, Luke's cameo in Mandalorian, Vader vs Obi-Wan and Rogue One are probably the best Star Wars content since Episode III. Too bad we just get it every 2-3 years and lasts minutes..
“Those eyes! Those horrible yellow eyes!” -Aunt May/Most of the reviewers
Anakin is Balance in the Force. He was the only one who could live in both sides of the force and truly embody both aspects. There is no light or dark, just the force.
the scene where he walks though the fog and flashes Vader, sheesh... best scene ever
These were some of the greatest shots I ever seen.
Saw Anakin, and was excited seeing his fighting style again. Saw Vader, and was literally terrified by the ferocity of his fighting. So awesome to see Hayden as Anakin again.
this episode displayed the duality of Anakin Skywalker, tested Ahsoka and gave a glimpse of what Vader would've been like WITHOUT the armour
I fully agree. 😊
Some of you misunderstand. That is vader lol, just without the suit
'Live in the present or die in the past'.
Thank you for making these videos, I watch all the channels separately then I watch them again on your channel 😊🎉✨️
When he spoke as Anakin/Vader, I though my TV was screwing up.
