    It is very nice of you for being so honest. Some UA-camrs exaggerate so much to get viewers. They definitely fooled a lot of people. You can only find out they are lying when they share their full year income.

      I started looking at their ebay stores- that is where you see if they actually sell items. I had two I was watching quite a bit, not after looking at their stores- I sell more then they do! You are right about exaggerate.

    Just watched you the first time and I want to encourage you and others. We have been selling on eBay since 2002 and pretty much full time. In other words we have not worked a regular job for over 45 years. We did something else from home before we started our eBay business. Now both of us are in our late 70”s still selling on eBay and enjoying the adventure. If it gets slow seems other opportunities come along to help. The nice thing is if you have freedom from a regular job then you have the opportunity to do other things periodically to help get over the hump if needed. I should write a book on our life for the last 45 years.LOL. Anyway just to encourage you Julie don’t ever give up. We made it through all the ups and downs in the economy challenges it is worth your freedom.

    I started working at ups part time for the benefits, almost 100% covered care. I only work 5am-830am so i still have my whole day!
    I think its the perfect part time job for business owners.

    Just a suggestion, I noticed you start your listings sometimes with NWT, numbers or have special characters in the title. eBay SEO is looking for a particular order in your listings. Brand, item, gender size and then additional keywords. It does not know what to do with special characters. Modifying your titles should help you with impressions and hopefully sales.

    Thank you, I enjoyed watching this video. A newbie here, and a new sub. Have not listed anything yet, procrastinating and unsure what platform should I use. I am inclining to eBay, as I already have account for buying. I just want to mention that the area when one lives matter. For instance, in my area, we have none of thrift stores that sell by pound. We used to, but it closed its doors few years back, it was such blessing especially with small kids buying clothes! Also, our nearest Goodwill is 35 min away and very expensive. Men shirts go for $8 average, and up, women tops are usually $6 and up, Those good days when you could score a $.50 nice t shirt are sure gone. Thank you for your video, educational and to the point. Good luck to you.

      Yes, you definitely need to have some good sourcing avenues. But many people will even source online when they live in areas that aren’t plentiful. I encourage you just to jump in and start selling. And eBay is definitely a great platform to sell on since they have the largest audience. Good luck!

    To make anywhere near netting 40K+ annually…. be prepared to work constantly. It’s very hard work. You won’t have much of a life… reselling will consume you. You will know if you are made for this kind of work or not. It’s not for everyone. I do it part time and love it, been reselling since 2001.😁

    So sorry but I don't think one less than perfect month means Justin should get a part time job! never seen you subtract out your expenses for the month! Everything will be fine! I truly believe the economy is just fine and will keep improving. It's always good to have alternate plans just in case, tho. Thanks for your video!

      The last 5 months have been way slower when compared to the previous 2 years. 2023 was the first time sales and profits were down from the previous year.
      So we are just keeping our options open.
      And yes I felt it was important to show the exact breakdown of numbers instead of just saying the total profits.
      As always thanks for watching. I do appreciate all your support and comments! ❤️

      @@mrs.frugaltrashtocash1938 hmmm. I didn't realize lower sales was a trend for you. I wonder if an improved economy is bad for resellers? If people buy new instead of preowned? Well, you are smart to keep your options open and I do appreciate your transparency and I'll be watching to see how it goes. Thanks!

  • @gabrielebolds6049

    Your resellers are dreamers and I say that with a lot of love. There are many factors about reselling and making real income. Y'all go by what you sold a month minus fees and shipping. That's not all you have deduct remember all your mayor inventory like hoarding almost didn't sold has to be deducted from you monthly income. How you pay into the system so when you get old and retire who pays you Medicare? Do you have a 401k set up ? Taxes from what you sold. If all that will be deducted whats your real income $0
    Or a few dollars. Reselling is not worth it $!

    • @mrs.frugaltrashtocash1938
      @mrs.frugaltrashtocash1938  6 місяців тому +2

      I completely agree the full-time resellers are dreamers because they’re entrepreneurs and all entrepreneurs are dreamers. We all choose to work our ass off to make ,sometimes, less money than we would work a 9 to 5, but we trade that in for mental freedom. And yes, we pay taxes and into medicare. And my husband and I fully fund retirement accounts each year Besides pay all our bills with just a reselling income.
      I use the cash accounting method, so I subtract every month whatever we paid in cost of goods from my bottom line. So the numbers I gave in this video were our exact income before we pay our income taxes.
      But we love that other people think it’s not possible to do this because it leaves us with less competition. 😉

    Great transparency. I don't get why the title references "this economy". The current economy is phenomenal. It doesn't look like it is doing anything but going from strength to strength.

    • @mrs.frugaltrashtocash1938
      @mrs.frugaltrashtocash1938  6 місяців тому +4

      The last few years people had way more disposable income from stimulus checks and child tax credits. Last year was the first year that didn’t occur since I started reselling. With the price of everyday expenses so high and incomes not keeping up a lot of people are struggling.

      I dont know anyone in real life or of any friends online that think the exonimy is phenomenal. i am in western PA and i have never seen prices of food this high. Also we just bought a used car and looked for months and the prices are also sky high!

    • @Katya67
      @Katya67 6 місяців тому +2

      @@MainlineFlippers High housing prices have to do with demand not the actual strength of the economy. Same with food and gas. Suppliers are elevating prices. Wage growth has outpaced inflation consistently in the past three years.
