Based on the short line from The Island of Sodor book, i decided to create my interpretation of Sir Topham Hatt's infamous description of the guy who sold Henry to him.

SFX by Brandon Polley
Thomas and Friends is owned by Mattel - Ігри
"'I wanted an Atlantic,' he would fume. 'And that ____ ____ ____ sent me *that!'"*
I interpreted it as "Fucking Cunting Wanker" myself.
I thought it was (censored)ing (censored) of a (censored)!

The fat controller is the only character to canonical swear( Duncan doesn't count because Duncan swears off-screen / including other engines that swear off page on The Railway Series)
@Oscar Guerrero oh yeah
When did Duncan say that?
@@sverein7359 it is said that he has profanity and knowing Duncan.
@@sverein7359 it is heavily implied that Duncan swears and the other engine say that this comes from the fact that he worked in the factory
“He used to work in a factory and his language is often… strong”.
Peter Sam’s description of Duncan in Home At Last
0:58 god imagine how hurt Henry's feelings would be to overhear "that"
Really hurt
This will forever be my favorite railway series quote.
Same
Same LOL
*Henry from the future:* "Oh he's gunna regret saying that!" , Henry said as he made a cheeky smile.
Shut up

It’s actually hard to imagine the fat controller swearing never mind insulting someone else. It’s hard not to look at him as like a wise father figure who keeps a polite tongue in his head but this seems more realistic a reaction for him to have.
Not for me. He’s a business tycoon having to deal with board directors, investors, passengers and sentient vehicles on the daily. Not to mention the ever changing policies of British Rails at that time. I’d imagine he’s sworn more than we give him credit for. 😂
@@FJAR1635 yeah but it’s kinda like how you have this idealistic view of a character or a person, it’s normal for that image to be change over time. No one’s perfect and I still think of the fat controller as a father figure
@@andrewobrien8325 also, keep in mind, there are 3 fat controllers. Each was nicer and more preservationist than the last, but the first fat controller was a businessman first, and everything else second. This is the man who left Edward in the shed once the locomotive crisis was over, and bricked Henry up in a tunnel when he was sick of dealing with him. The man who allowed the coffeepot engines, his own creations, to be scrapped when they could no longer handle the demand, replacing them with Thomas, and the last one was (presumed to be) scrapped after working the quarry for a while. He wasn't the kind man we normally think of. He wasn't even the man who knew how to speak to engines who rescued Toby. Henry's rebuild is the only major kind thing I can think of from Sir Topham Hatt I, and, as much as I hate the two Henrys theory, one could certainly argue that it fits better with the canonical actions of the first fat controller. I prefer to think it was more of what my dad calls "a radiator cap job", where superficial elements of the original are saved to make it technically the same machine, but at that point it would probably be cheaper to just buy a new loco. Still, I suppose it is possible that Henry's cab, dome cover, tender, whistle, and other superficial parts that could be reused on any locomotive were reused to cut costs while building a new black 5, and that this had the happy coincidence of making the new black 5 still Henry, and that's my preferred headcannon.
Anyway, I got a bit off track. The TL;DR is that the first fat controller wasn't the kind man that the second and third controllers were.
@@bow-tiedengineer4453 I’m not familiar when the first fat controller stood down since I haven’t read the books(which is my problems) but I’m going to guess season 1 of the show was his time. There are a couple of other kind things I can think of from that season but im going to assume the first fat controller was gone by the time Diesel showed up?
@@bow-tiedengineer4453 show Sir Topham Hat the first was the reason Edward was out of commission (I kinda get it since times were changing and the work load was in more demand so he had to purchase bigger engines to handle these task), but still couldn't Sirtopham just use Edward for more lighter passenger work and lighten the load or just give him his branchline if he couldn't meet the demands as he once did? Also couldn't the coffeepots be use as backup even when Thomas was purchased to make the shunting and yard run like clock work?
The sad history behind Henry
*insert henry casually spinning on the turntable while lord topham privately lets out his pure frustration of him
I just imagined him spinning around like james in tenders & turntables
ooga booga wind god
Surely Sir Hatt had the decency to swear only when Henry was turned away.
LOL. Reminds me of your Otto Grubb role Mate.
It does
Yes
It very much does

Everyone has their limits, including Sir Topham Hatt.
That was great! At least Henry proved himself to be worthy of staying.
The Sodor Steamworks does some impressive work, rebuilding engines that would be expected to go scrap (and multiple times!). But they have their limits, they can't make Henry as strong as Gordon. They can only ever make him one step stronger than the shunting engines, and that realism is much appreciated.
"Son of a bitch"? I expected more colorful language, but still, it works.
This was quite a conversation.
That’s what’s special about the Railway Series neither the Model Series or CGI Series did something like this showing that Thomas the the Tank Engine is not necessarily made for children
Finaly, someone did it!
It's awesome!
0:59 STH: I wanted an Atlantic, and that son of a bitch sent me that!
Henry: WHAT THE FUCK?!
Very interesting fan-made audio, of the Fat Controller finding out Henry is the wrong shape.
Oh dear, i wonder if this is what Thomas & Friends would be like if it was TV-14?
Awesome job mate. Such an amazing recreation
Excellent work
cant believe topham said the bitch word
Love it!
Great stuff, you should bring out your Otto Grub voice more often.
So THAT’S what the Fat Controller said in the IoS book
Nicely done
Oh, dear Lord! 😆

Sometime in 1922.
Poor henry
Poor Henry I like him because he's like me I have asthma.
I can only imagine what he said about derek
This is why Henry Disrespect continues and is the most canonically correct position. Henry is a bucket of bolts barely any more powerful than #1 and #6 despite being way larger. (Or if he does have more thrust, he can't maintain it leading to more problems than it solves.)
Did he really say that? Wow, I guess that's why no one said it.
Very good Jerome I love the voices you did hear
Not very 18+
I'd say 13+
The word bitch is really not that bad
I mean, it describes The CEO of UA-cam, it’s funny because she is one XD
You got that right
Some people used to insist it was a big deal! Even though they were Goth Girls or otherwise "alternative". Maybe those days are finally gone and we can drop B-bombs in peace??
Sir topham hatt tries his otto grubb impression and other stories
That's because TheGermanofSodor was the same guy who voiced Otto Grubb in the Engines Of Sodor finale.
@@DillianTrainzStudios You're right, I said that because this fat controller and otto grubb from TEOS finale sound like... Exactly the same
@@LittleNoddyLemmyVideos That's TheGermanOfSodor himself voicing STH in this video.
Cool
The Fat Director starting to have doubts on buying Henry.
I was wondering whether he would be satisfied if an atlantic is delivered as he wished. Considering its color I guess it's the "Henry Oakley" class C1 locomotive he intended to buy. That type is NOT for heavy hauls either. What henry fails, the C1 can't be surely any better.
The Black 5 is a lot better.
Henry was based on a stolen design that was not even going to be used
More like he was a design that Gresley was tinkering with and the thieves thought it was a final product...
... though, to be honest, Gresley was basically using US locomotive designs (the A1s were basically decent ripoffs of the K-class) to build some of the most iconic UK locomotives.
@@TheTrueAdept So Gresley took ideas by the PRR K4?
Either PRR built the K4 “inspired” by Gresley’s A1/A3 or vice versa.
@@nathanchan4653 pretty much. The US had conditions that required that they become some of the top locomotive designers on the planet (seriously, it's one of the few countries on the planet where you can literally have every biome outside of artic in one country), and it also didn't help that they were the top *_EXPORTERS_* of locomotives for decades until the various countries built their locomotive industries based off of *_AMERICAN_* designs.
Sir Topham Hatt is currently the Thomas Fandom after reading the HiT bible that was released/leaked.
Well you got two out three blanks there.
