Very enjoyable video - brought back some nice memories, we used to be lucky enough to have Fjordline sailing between the UK and Norway from Newcastle to Bergen, calling at Stavanger and Haugesund on the way.....as you say, the scenery between Stavanger and Bergen is absolutely stunning, and Bergen is such a beautiful place.....such a shame that there is no longer a direct ferry to Norway from the UK.
Thanks very much for the video. We are hoping to visit Norway next time we visit family in Sweden and this was just the information we were looking for (and very well presented). Happy travels 😀
Thanks. Jupp! no motorhome in this one. We love to travel with as many different ways of transportation as we can think of. Though the motorhome with e-bikes is arguably our favorite way of traveling at the moment 🙂
Thank you for the informative video. I enjoyed seeing the different parts of the ferry. I will be taking this journey next summer, from Hirtshals to Bergen without a car. I have a question that maybe you could answer. I noticed on Fjordline's website that the one-way fare and rooms are more expensive than a round-trip "cruise" on the exact same vessel and date. In other words, they will effectively pay you to stay on the ferry and return to Denmark rather than disembarking in Norway. This goes for all dates that I tested. Do you know why this would be the case? I notice in your video at 9:35 the announcement says to have your boarding pass ready. Did they actually check your boarding pass when you disembarked in Bergen? I'm wondering if I could just buy the lower priced cruise, and then walk off in Bergen and end my journey there to save money.
That is true but, the stop in Tananger/Risavika is referred to as Stavanger by Fjordline, and the majority of the people. Like Stavanger airport is not in Stavanger but in sola komune. Which by the way, is the same komune Risavika is in.

Hello glad you liked the video and found it helpful 😊 they checked your boarding pass every time you walk on and off the ship.
And I don't know way Fjordline is pricing the way they do.
The ferry never docks in Stavanger .....but in Tananger ....Risavika to be very specific....
