So weird to think that there was a time when he was the only person calling out SJWs, even explaining what to many people who'd never heard of them before. Zack is over here displaying the same behavioral patterns that some of my old friends displayed when they caught Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s a real thing. Just this year I lost a best friend because of it. We were having reasonable conversations about politics and culture and suddenly one day he just snapped. When I provided tactful pushback, he kept getting angrier and then finally cut off all contact with me. It was almost 3 months ago but I’m still kind of sad about it. Zack had perfectly valid points, he addressed the refund issue and he even knew people would say "He's gone Kelly Sue on people!" and addressed that.
I don't know what really broke Zack. But the spiraling really started with Furiosa and I was confused when I checked the comments. Most people are just saying yeah it was okay or that they just didn't care. Hell, I didn't even see people claiming it truly flopped. I've been watching Ya Boi Zack for years and I legitimately do not understand why he is attacking Nerdrotic, The Critical Drinker Drinker, etc out of the blue. To suddenly act like Nerdrotic and the Drinker are the enemy is both bewildering and saddening. I stopped watching Comics Matter because this hatred is unjustified, unwarranted, and just doesn't make any sense.
The main medium he cared about was comic books, he's always had lower standards for movies. SJWs have completely destroyed the comic book industry, and Richard refuses to move on. He's spiteful that others are critiquing movies/tv shows (mainstream entertainment that's more relevant than comic books) and are more successful doing it than he is.
My understanding of why he is going after then and the FNT crowd is this. He thinks they aren't seeing the movies they claim to be watching and are lying about it in order to keep getting money via views and Superchats. They are just running on a view that everything is woke, everything sucks, and they must point it all out. I'm not saying Zack is right. I'm just saying that this seems to be what he's thinking, and it blew up, I believe, with the Furiosa movie. Zack liked it. They didn't.

Yes Zack likes to be a contrarian (I used to like that about him) and I think deep down he chooses to go against the perceived masses. Whether they are left or right, secular or religious. Some people think that if so many people like a thing, then it must be bad and will refuse to like something simply because it is popular. The Amazon part was a pretty stupid thing to bring up. Pretty sure you can cancel the orders if they're not processed yet and even if his was instantly processed, Amazon basically lets you return anything for a full refund. Pretty much directly contrary to what he's ranting about.
It's fun to have him explaining to the world how Amazon works, as if no one has ever used it except him. I know he didn't meant it exactly like this, so I'll cut him a break, but it came across as "I have this super secret insight into how business works because I order things on Amazon."

This is tough seeing Zach go off the deep end. We are around the same age so I always understood his references. In some of his earlier videos, I remember him saying that he would respond to every comment(then a couple of videos later, he realized he couldn't do that with the amount of comments received). He even acknowledged the people who said that said his movie takes were cringe. Nerdrotic and his crew do not demand everyone think like them. I do not see Zach's end game in all these attacks.

I was honestly shocked when I saw that post last night. First off, going on a tirade in response to a refund request and then posting a customer's private communication online just to get asspats from the simps in his comment section isn't just childish, but downright unethical. Secondly, he conveniently doesn't provide the reason for the request. He's framed it as the customer doesn't like his change in personality and doesn't want to support him anymore to try for an easy dunk, but it could be for any number of reasons. And considering zack has been throwing this temper tantrum for the better part of a year now, it could be a customer rightfully upset he/she paid for a product that's months overdue. Lastly is the reason for the denial. If zack's just pissy someone called him on his crap, then refund the order and be done with it. If the order is on its way to fulfillment and it's too late, then just state as much. Either way, you put on your big boy pants and show a little professionalism. Sorry for the rant, as someone who's worked customer service, this just struck a nerve. Hated the job, mind you, but at least I could take pride in being good at it.

It really seems bizarre seeing Zack's tirades against 'Birthday party clowns', especially when he's spent years justifiably making fun of bad stories and SJW tropes. Even with my favorite games/series/books there's always stuff to criticise and praise. Ya Boi seems overly defensive about the slop companies are putting out.

So he hates people who bring others joy and make them laugh or are secretly a genius hiding behind the mask of a fool? It sounds like a term he created, just so he doesn't have to speak the evil dark lord's name. Yeah rarely is there a perfect piece of media. If you study something enough, you might notice even a minor flaw in a master piece. Which these days, more so for comic stories. The quality of the craft has gone down a great deal. It much easier to notice issues, on a first read or viewing of a piece of media. For it not like oh this thing had great build up but the reveal was a let down. No it more like, the whole everything was build on snaky ground from the start. All it takes is a stiff wind to blow in and everything falls apart. Heck sometimes, noticing these flaws can show how much a writer has grown over time, as they have master and improve their craft. Which to do that, an artist often needs feed back. To know what they are good at and what they are bad at. Zack like so many others before him. Seem to no longer understand, what feed back is. That valid worthwhile feed back, can be worth it weight in gold for an artist serious about mastering their craft.

From what I can see, Zack completely broke with Ed Piskor's death and its fallout. He even made a community post answering someone's question of why he was so angry and he tied everything to Ed's death and the supposed non-response from the community. Unlike with previous JAWBREAKERS campaigns, this book is COMPLETELY DRAWN. It only needs to be Colored & Lettered and it will be ready to go to Print!" That's what Rich wrote in June 2022, and backers are still waiting. Point and laugh, guys.
I didn't get the add on books I ordered with Rock and Roll Ninja. It took so long that I haven't bothered to get in touch with Zach to try and rectify that.
The dude just released another Birthday Party Clown video, and as of writing this, he is at 99.2k subscribers. He will be under 99k by the end of the week.
And IIRC he even did a victory video talking about how his campaign a few weeks ago was like the third-hottest comic campaign on IGG at the time. Well, there were no other significant comics campaigns out. He acts like he's doing great when actually his sales are severely diminished. I think I figured out the reason why he only does week-long campaigns now: because he only gets the money when the campaigns end, and he needs money now to print the previous books.

I'm not a comic-book guy and will never be a serious one, but I religiously tuned into Zack because his ~2017 riffing on SJW comics had me laughing to tears at times. Once he stopped doing that, there was no reason to keep tuning in. I wish him no ill, but he _was_ fun and now he isn't.

I don't know what really broke Zack. But the spiraling really started with Furiosa and I was confused when I checked the comments. Most people are just saying yeah it was okay or that they just didn't care. Hell, I didn't even see people claiming it truly flopped. This is tough seeing Zach go off the deep end. We are around the same age so I always understood his references. In some of his earlier videos, I remember him saying that he would respond to every comment(then a couple of videos later, he realized he couldn't do that with the amount of comments received). He even acknowledged the people who said that said his movie takes were cringe. Nerdrotic and his crew do not demand everyone think like them. I do not see Zach's end game in all these attacks.

I was honestly shocked when I saw that post last night. First off, going on a tirade in response to a refund request and then posting a customer's private communication online just to get asspats from the simps in his comment section isn't just childish, but downright unethical.
Secondly, he conveniently doesn't provide the reason for the request. He's framed it as the customer doesn't like his change in personality and doesn't want to support him anymore to try for an easy dunk, but it could be for any number of reasons. And considering zack has been throwing this temper tantrum for the better part of a year now, it could be a customer rightfully upset he/she paid for a product that's months overdue.
Lastly is the reason for the denial. If zack's just pissy someone called him on his crap, then refund the order and be done with it. If the order is on its way to fulfillment and it's too late, then just state as much. Either way, you put on your big boy pants and show a little professionalism.
Sorry for the rant, as someone who's worked customer service, this just struck a nerve. Hated the job, mind you, but at least I could take pride in being good at it.

Yeah rarely is there a perfect piece of media. If you study something enough, you might notice even a minor flaw in a master piece. Which these days, more so for comic stories. The quality of the craft has gone down a great deal. It much easier to notice issues, on a first read or viewing of a piece of media. For it not like oh this thing had great build up but the reveal was a let down. No it more like, the whole everything was build on snaky ground from the start. All it takes is a stiff wind to blow in and everything falls apart. Heck sometimes, noticing these flaws can show how much a writer has grown over time, as they have master and improve their craft. Which to do that, an artist often needs feed back. To know what they are good at and what they are bad at. Zack like so many others before him. Seem to no longer understand, what feed back is. That valid worthwhile feed back, can be worth it weight in gold for an artist serious about mastering their craft.

From what I can see, Zack completely broke with Ed Piskor's death and its fallout. He even made a community post answering someone's question of why he was so angry and he tied everything to Ed's death and the supposed non-response from the community. The whisper network may not have gotten Zack to end himself like they wanted but they certainly got to his mind.

To be clear, Jawbreakers Forever was supposed to be delivered in October... 2022! And the initial campaign pitch boasted that the comic was "ALREADY DRAWN! Unlike with previous JAWBREAKERS campaigns, this book is COMPLETELY DRAWN. It only needs to be Colored & Lettered and it will be ready to go to Print!" That's what Rich wrote in June 2022, and backers are still waiting. Point and laugh, guys.

I'm not a comic-book guy and will never be a serious one, but I religiously tuned into Zack because his ~2017 riffing on SJW comics had me laughing to tears at times. Once he stopped doing that, there was no reason to keep tuning in. I wish him no ill, but he _was_ fun and now he isn't.

yup actually glad i never backed a book he made. i got into comicsgate from his move the needle hashtag and was apart of it for a little while, but then i saw the writing on the wall. just like gamergate 1 these people would eventually become what they hated and fought to be the opposite of and now they are no different. instead of making great books they make comics that look like they came out of a burger king kids meal from the 90's and they are always late or never show up. then they are always going to war with one another like children it's ridiculous. i just try to keep up with billy tucci and coffin comics other then that i stay far away from what remains of CG. just a huge joke that i wish i had never been apart of. What he was saying was that "officially" cancelling the order would be a lot of hassle at the fulfilment centre so it was easier to just send it our rather than cancel it - which is what he did. People should actually watch the video rather than blindly listening to JDA and agreeing with him because he read Zack's post in an SJW voice.
@@JamesBurrTV putting customers on blast publicly regardless of this video or the original video is the number one dumbest decision you can make as a retailer, which is what he is. Second dumbest decision is sending them a whole essay back in a private reply with an attitude regardless of the reason for requesting a refund. It’s bad customer service, period. Other potential customers see this. To his credit, I asked for a refund on Reignbow the Brute after the shipping date came and went years ago for that reason and EVS (or whoever handles customers in his team) simply said “I understand, sorry for the inconvenience, here’s your refund” and was done within 24 hours. That is how you handle business.

Once it was sick season from the winter, then it was possibly from one time he got sick (remember he had like the flu for ages who knows how long ago lol) and the cough just stuck according to him, then it was a physical manifestation of the stress from talking about bad people all the time, then it was an acid reflux he concluded cos a friend told him about it, then it was age.
