When it comes to playing Beatles tunes live, I don't care too much about looks or costumes, because face it, if it's not them, it's gonna look off, or even if there are more than four people up there, no matter, I care more about the vibe, accuracy of sound, even if the solos aren't record perfect, if it's super close, but most important, if it sounds close to "yeah, that is very very Beatles", then that is what I like. I like this.
You would really appreciate the REO Brothers cover of this song. They look nothing like the Beatles and do excellent covers of other bands such as The Bee Gees, Beach Boys, Eagles, America, Dire Straits, Alan Parsons Project, etc.
@aldocoffee They use “period instruments” for a vast majority of their covers which they do without the benefit of recording multiple track overlays. For example, The Beatles never ever performed the songs on Sgt. Peppers in front of a live audience like the REO Brothers. It takes a great deal of musical talent to use “midi and synth” as effectively as the REO Brothers. Logistically, it would be moronic to expect 4 young men who are self-taught musicians on a very limited budget to hire session musicians to fill in orchestral & brass arrangements.
Yes we don't want any more Beatles impersonators with dodgy hair, costumes... we want the MUSIC played with accuracy, respect, soul and love. The Analogues should be training up their replacements for 20 years from now... and so on! All the Beatles music must live on forever.
50 jaar later ..kippenvel .
This band has it all down to the last note. I've been a Beatle fan all my life. Saw them in 1965 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto at their heyday touring. The Analogues are honestly the best of all the copy bands out there and I've seen a few...No competition there... WTG gentlemen, just awesome.......Thanks for the memories...
The best cover of this song I have ever heard in my life........... and for that matter all the stuff these guys and gals do . Yes indeed 11+ all around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
litening to this again. but of course. and it is SO DAMN GOOD. gut ..... besser........AM BESTEM !!!!!!! this here band. thanks guys you ARE super very good,! 65 y/o and remembering the original Beatles.
to those watching or commenting on the guitarist: it is not only the solos that count, but also all that he does "in-between" and I would not be surprised if also the chords and arpeggios are reproduced note for note as on the record.
1. A Beatles song from the amazing White Album cannot be wrong (let me forget now Revolution 9, pls!). 2. We miss very much George Harrison, R. I. P.!! 🤗☹️ 3. Long live Eric Clapton!! 👍😊 4. Beatles forever!!! 5. The Analogues play the closest Beatles covers from the 1966-1970 era. (Maybe they are the only one band, which plays these songs live.) 6. The music of the Beatles will stay with us much longer than 50 years. After 100-150 years it will play the same role as Mozart today. Greetings for all the Beatles fans all around the world!!
The Beatles never did these songs live, but from their earlier live performances which never got up to "studio quality" then we must conclude the Analogues do these songs at least as well as the Beatles might have done with modern equipment. And they perform with such respect for detail and love of the music. The next challenge is to foster another successor band in 20 years time to carry the legacy of the Beates music forward faithfully. In the meantime thanks to the Analogues - I have all their DVDs and they are just superb.
These guys are so good!! They are going on a tour abroad I've heard ('A MUSICAL WONDER FROM HOLLAND' - EASTERN DAILY PRESS UK) They play on the exact same instruments the Beatles used on their albums, but they perform live what the Beatles recorded in the studio!! It's mind wobbling to hear live what you only heard on albums at home...
Well, it is an ok beatlecoverband, play well sound well. but there are many tributebands who are way better, like the bootlegbeatles and perhaps the cavernbeatles, and if you listen close and knowing the original recordings, there are differences, even this, very good. solo does not come close the original. but having said all this, this is a good band :)
For the moment only in the Netherlands. It ´s a Dutch band whose aim it is to play the studio LP´s of the Beatles, the ones they never got to play live with exact the same vintage instruments. Saw them last Wednesday performing Sgt Pepper the whole way through. Except for the colour of their voices ( who does sound like John Paul George and Ringo??) it ´s practically like listening to the original record. Really mind blowing. Very great job.I envy them, would like to do something similar.
Totally agree!! I recorded this with my Iphone, I was in the first row, so even with the tiny mic of the phone this sounds amazing.... (to my humble opinion!!)
It amazes me that after a musical genius George Lennon met a musical genius George Paul McCartney and created some of the greatest music in history, that a George Harrison happened to rise in their midst.
I am from the generation that grew up without having any chance to see The Beatles live, but knew as much as possible about them. The Analogues are absolutely genius! I can't wait to see them with Let It Be... Of course this video isn't the best quality, but hee, what did you expect of a live recording of phone or something? I am a fan :)
A great rendition of this beatles classic, but for my money nothing tops that of Brazil's 'Blackbird Band' whose Lead Guitarist Aisse Gaertner soars like a bird through the guitar solo matching, meeting and surpassing any version I have ever heard before or since. He stays exactly on point to the original, until suddenly he just lets rip and takes the listener on a personal Gaertneresque homage to what has been perrformed earlier. Finally winding down to the original as performed. Absolutely spellbinding!
i like the use of the insturments is somewhat accurate, at least the hofner and rick basses. wonder why paul doesn't play the rick in the wings songes in his concerts, my only guess it it's heavy, but so is the les paul
Hey guys, check this out, these Analogues are really great!! ua-cam.com/video/0kj1jJrbTQU/v-deo.html this is their latest performance covering sgt. Pepper’s lonely hearts club band
This is a great Beatles cover band to be sure but on this particular song Back Bird Band from Brazil blows them away: ua-cam.com/video/PlATBp2Wi0Q/v-deo.html
Doen! De wereld wordt er beter door. Weg met alle shitmuziek van nu. Save us.
Bummer. The whole reason why George got Clapton to play lead on this song was that Clapton could play slide. Where was the slide? Also, didn't have Clapton's tone at all.
Not bad Mr lead guitarist, not bad at all. :) Not quite as good at bending as George, but there again, he couldn't bend as well as the bass player in the real group :)
Most of their covers are pretty damn good but this one is just plain flat and has none of the spirit or depth of the original. Another one that just doesn't cut it is "Your Mother Should Know".
This really copycats the orginal George Harrison (Beatles) version. The TOTO version of the song however dwarf both Original and this one. Nice try though.
The best cover band so far in this genre, all the members can do anything required of them
When it comes to playing Beatles tunes live, I don't care too much about looks or costumes, because face it, if it's not them, it's gonna look off, or even if there are more than four people up there, no matter, I care more about the vibe, accuracy of sound, even if the solos aren't record perfect, if it's super close, but most important, if it sounds close to "yeah, that is very very Beatles", then that is what I like. I like this.
agree with you... and when you hear them live and you hear the first notes of one of these famous songs, it gave me shivers....
RobTackettCovers I agree!
You would really appreciate the REO Brothers cover of this song. They look nothing like the Beatles and do excellent covers of other bands such as The Bee Gees, Beach Boys, Eagles, America, Dire Straits, Alan Parsons Project, etc.

I'm sure The Analogues are the next best thing! great great live band!
Maybe this is the future of Beatle music, just like Bach or Mozart the music will be recreated by expert musicians.
Yes we don't want any more Beatles impersonators with dodgy hair, costumes... we want the MUSIC played with accuracy, respect, soul and love. The Analogues should be training up their replacements for 20 years from now... and so on! All the Beatles music must live on forever.

John Lowrie I saw them in 1965 in Birmingham UK but sorry to say I didn’t hear a word they sang to much screaming
This guys guitar playing is awesome!!!
Wow, super lead guitarist. Simply magical. Brilliant.
True professional, it takes time , patience And practice to sound this good. Job well done men
I have no words to say how good are these guys.
Absolutely fantastic. I love this band so much!!
This band is beyond...unbelievable!
Wow, that is real spooky! Best cover I've ever seen!
Awesome performance and awesome lead guitar. 🙏🏻
The best cover of this song I have ever heard in my life...........
and for that matter all the stuff these guys and gals do . Yes
indeed 11+ all around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah most positively so !!
The Blackbird cover its as good as this one in my opinion
You need to hear this cover from THE BEATS band from argentina
@@fernandomarquez4123 Hmmm, Lets go have a look in that case. I'm back. Good advice!
Absolutely love these guys spot on. Hope to see them some day.
Great stuff ....you fellows capture the excitement that was going on in 64 when I was a young sap in Manchester
Great guitar solo! Fantastic version.
A very nice clear sound. Besides not being quite 'gritty' enough, this was near perfect. Especially the guitar solo in the middle - amazing.
they are geat, but they are antiseptic. They appear focused on not making a mistake, which is not exactly the right vibe.
Perfect...spectacular. Sound and vocal like original artist...
Wow these guy are very good they sound so much like The Beatles!
Actually they sound exactly like the Beatles' albums. I'm pretty sure that even the Beatles didn't sound like their album Live.
Simply BRILLIANT rendition.
Perfect recreation.. and guitar solo too
litening to this again. but of course. and it is SO DAMN GOOD. gut ..... besser........AM BESTEM !!!!!!! this here band. thanks guys you ARE super very good,! 65 y/o and remembering the original Beatles.
Espectaculares! !
Los solos de guitarra perfectos! !!!
Excellent, excellent, and the musicianship, can you honestly not say that it is right on.......
Great musicianship!
These guys are great!

They surely are. Not even Clapton can do it like this...
Just amazing! Eric Clapton played the guitar solo on the original recording and this guy is matching Clapton note for note!
Superb. One of my favourite, if not my favourite? George Harrison/Beatles song.
Outstanding.

Great live sound. So close to the original that I'm not sure I'd notice it wasn't the Beatles, if I didn't have vision!

My favorite Beatle-George is hard to replicate but these guys are next these legends most of your songs are almost exact cover of the original.
True genious
Fantastic cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps! The lead guitarist has Clapton's Les Paul solos down cold
These guys are so good!! Spot on. We'll done, guys
Fantastic George Harrison song done fantastically.
Brilliant is an understatement

All is fantastic!!!!
got that beautiful LP gold top weeping alright
simplesmente FANTÁSTICOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no better performance of this great song.
And George ‘gently’ peeps!
the lead guitar is mesmerizing
Jac bico IS a fantastic guitarist, he paid a great tribute to Clapton/Harrison
Wonderful!

Increíbles. Muy buenos.
Brilliant. Any chance of you guys touring down under to New Zealand and Australia ?
great moment !
Wat een FANTASTISCHE band!!!!!
Good job, Jac!!!

loving ALL of these covers this group is performing. where are these guys from ?!??

One must wonder if even Clapton himself could play this lead as perfectly as he did back when it was recorded....

Yes, correct.
As good as George.

Awesome, without compare...except from The Beatles
hmmmm
A bit more rocky at times, they need to play a few times more
The Beatles waren ook braaf! ;€)
Bummer. The whole reason why George got Clapton to play lead on this song was that Clapton could play slide. Where was the slide? Also, didn't have Clapton's tone at all.
BatMite19 they're not Clapton tho, what they have done is amazing tho
