Pairs well with a MI plaits, both outputs into the filter, then feed key tacking a complex lfo. FAB! I luv this filter, at any price it is my favourite, atm.
Great opening "pitch"! I do appreciate the detailed thought you seem to have put into that. I still don't feel I have the stomach to pay the B brand. I do respect Rob a lot for sure though. Thanks for the vid!
That filter/vca with that envelope sounds lovely! Gotta give Behringer props for the pricing and making it available for everyone to get into modular. Awesome job Molten Music on the music and presentation!
I won’t be doing a live modular set anytime soon, but I think I will wear a nice shirt next time I DJ. I just dig the energy that it brings to synthesizer music which is quite civilized, and lets not forget that. This nasty music that we love takes a lot of nerding and discipline, and uhhhh soldering? Get your fancy shirts out folks, and lets just get funky before we’re too old. ☮️&❤ from Beautiful Colorado! 🍻
Very nice review. I saw you holding the 1016 module early in the review. Wondered if you gave it a try. Pink noise has some odd behaviour while ajusting it's tune pot.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago to make up the cost of something esle to get free delivery :-) It was cheap and looks cool. Didn't know how to get the best from it so many thanks for the vid. and super-useful info.
Have a few 55 modules in my system. Can be used in combination with other stuff as well without the S-trig dilemma, just as these modules. Anyway... Great in depth review again, as always! Much appreciated. And one can recon the sounds shown here from early Kraftwerk (ARP Odyssey though), but also the Faust sound from the early 70's, as they used the ARP 2500.
Of course they can. I think my point is more along the lines that these aren't just clones of modules converted to Eurorack but designed to take advantage of the Eurorack format - at least that's my take on it :D
It probably boils down to my lack of imagination and novice status as a modular noodler, but I can't fully understand the envelope modules having only one gate input, but two separate envelopes. Besides maybe having a differences between your amp and filter envelopes, it just seems like a missed opportunity. The series 100 dual envelope has separate gates if I'm not mistaken.

I'm using an ONA oscillator from Nano and a Make Noise ST0. And yes it's normal to get the signal drop as you increase the resonance. Some filters have compensation for this - the 1006 doesnt.
Well it depends on the sort of filter you're after because they all have their flavour. A 24dB slope will lose more bass than a 12dB filter. So if you look at 2-pole filters like a Moog ladder type then they will reduce the bass less than more aggressive filters. But that drop is part of the nature of filters because you're sucking in more of the frequencies at the edge of the cutoff as you push resonance up and it's all about finding that balance. However, I can recommend the Wavefonix 2140 which has compensation on a switch www.wavefonix.com/product-page/2140-low-pass-filter Or the Grit from British Electronics which doesn't have a compensation switch as such but when you pile on the distortion that bass doesn't go anywhere.
Have been building a clone of the model 15 app from the iPad using Behringer modules. Sadly I need 2 more to have it finished. Sounds amazing tho. Wish Behringer included some kind of instructions.
@@MoltenMusicTech at least tho you can get them. Found out yesterday that Behringer has no US distribution. I have had the same modules on order for almost a year.
I think they've just signed a big deal with Sweetwater who will become the sole US distributer for Behringer so you'll only be able to get them from there.
gate in is for regular adsr, trig in turns it into ar envelope bypassing decay and sustain, unless a gate is also present in which case it just retrigers the envelope from the start.
No, it doesn’t do that. It triggers the full envelope when the gate is high and only retriggers once the previous envelope has finished. At least that’s what it’s doing for me.
I can't handle the colour coding of the knobs - I'd have to change them around: the blue for kbd in, red cv1 for fltr & amp, yellow for cv2 fltr & amp, and the two green for input lvl 1&2 else they make no sense, but maybe that's only an issue for my ocd.

Gee this is such a nice sounding filter :) Thanks for this video. Not much out about these modules yet.
#behringer killed it with these, and what amazing value - such a sweet setup
Great shirt!
Very lovely demo. Tasteful amount of reverb, nice one!
What should I use to rub off the Behringer logo from my modules?
You could get custom panels.
I used Strypit paint and varnish stripper - but be careful around the patch sockets as it will quickly dissolve the rubber ring around them.
You can rub it off but it still is a behringer. If you hate that don't buy it
@@MoltenMusicTech Thanks!
@@toysfromthedeep8724 I could care less what Behringer does as a company. I just hate the way their logo looks.

Just started getting a few from this series. Multi mode filter is cool.

Erica Pico DSP - not very flashy 😁

How do you think this filter compares to the 1047 multimode filter in terms of sound?
