What is Ecrew? When I had to uproot and move to Indiana, there was a car community called Bcrew (B for Bloomington, Indiana). These guys became my family. Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. @2:40 Welding is one of my favorite things to do! There's something almost magical about taking two pieces of steel and making them one! In my Metallurgy class in Engineering College we made a sample and after preparing it under the microscope you could not see ANY transition of the grain structure from one piece to the other! After 40+ years I still have that sample!

Yeah. I feel it was obviously having troubles and the economic reality was that it made more sense to sell it off while it still ran and could get more cash than when it finally broke and was near worthless.
You are making my 1975, 17 year old dream come true. The wonderful thing about this "dream car" it can actually happen almost 50 years later. Thank you for sharing. Oh, my engine choice was an aluminum small block with a single turbo making over 400 horsepower, 1000 HP wasn't imaginable or dreamed about.
This is exactly what my next project will be! Either a 1st or 2nd gen camaro track car with detroit speed parts. Please take this up to Buttonwillow when its done to see what she can do on track.
the camaro is going to be an awesome restomod! the new subframes are going to make a massive difference in feel and performance!

I am planning a full frame for my '68. That is the ultimate upgrade for a 1st Gen. Also thinking about a fiberglass front end, but TBD.
I use Detroit Speed subframe connectors on my ‘66 Mustang. Great parts!!

Dang, Emelia! You don't mess around!😲 I think this is going to be the ideal build on this thing. The '69 Camaro was my favorite year, especially the Z-28's. Seeing as this car wasn't really OEM to start with, it's the perfect candidate for a full on 'restomod' project. Good move on the suspension refit. Now it will handle as well as it performs (not to mention stopping as well). You may still have to subframe it to handle the big horsepower, unless you plan on an intricate load-bearing rollcage to keep the twist out of the body. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here! Keep it up gal!😍👍👍

My first new car was a 69 Camaro. It was assembled in the Van Nuys plant in CA. Loved the car, but yes, in retrospect it didn’t handle very well. Your restomod will be awesome.

I wish i can do a build like yours but i do not have funds for that kind of build. What can you recommend me doing atleast for mid range build?
detroit speed components - probably the way to go - keep updating this build vlog and go easy to start with - you should get many many miles with proper pm

repowering with an LS3 would be my choice with a six speed manual, now watching the build with greatly engineered build with great packages then prepare and fabricate then put together the lego lol these retro mods insane. but dont need that engine lol like your subaru tomato real favourite of mine'. Much better than TJ's GTRs and M4 in my opinion let alone the hyper cars that are simply engineered failures with german and british makes but absolute rubbish and spending squillions and car is waiting for parts all the time broken. You and your long term friends working on cars is just massive and Sandy is the best as you realise and respect. Your builds with dream components and build parts with your fabrication and nechanical skills is absolutely the best,

Would have loved to see more of that build. That’s my dream car and my dream set up. Minus the turbos, I prefer a supercharger. Nothing wrong with the turbos, just my preference. And I have been a DSE fan for years and years. I’ve never seen a full build though.

So glad you kept the Camaro, I was concerned when you broke down with it you would get rid of it, you do go through a lot of cars after all. I had a 69 Camaro and 70 Chevelle with the LS6. Sure miss them but the judge in my divorce made me sell them. Keep this car and treat it like a baby and you'll have years of enjoyment out it!
DSE is the best they make it seem so easy which goes to show how well they engineer their products
Is Emelia turning into DDE with the fake drama? Yes… why not just say hey I got this car and it has issues and I’m going to do this and that? Clickbait and fake BS have really turned me off to car channels. I havent watched DDE in months, Emelia only puts out a video once a month and if it’s going to be like this I guess I’m done
The description is exactly what she did in 2 days, other than live stream for 48 hours, what do you want... pictures of the UPS truck dropping by over 2 months... agreed DDE is guaranteed clickbait every single episode, but its predictable.

My 69 Camaro DSE Pro-Touring build took 3-1/2 years mainly working on weekends and holidays. I was one of the first Canadians to buy their Hydroformed subframe in 2006 serial number: 00012. Still own and drive this car powered by hopped up SBC LS7.
