Spalding Model Railway Exhibition 2024

The two day show held at the Springfield events centre. As always a good show to visit. I looked at five layouts: ASHDAN JUNCTION - ZLATA VYCHOD - SOUTHGATE PARK - NORTH ROAD - NORTHBRIDGE.

As for Southgate Park, it’s a brilliant layout that looks like it’s based on Alexandra Palace Station!! Gorgeous!! I hope it turns up at the LFRM!!

Very top favourite layout in this video is the Northbridge layout because I love the two 7 car passenger trains crossing each other!

Having worked at a heritage railway from 2013 to 2023, I can tell you that I could normally hear the next train before it arrived at the station at which I was working.

Spalding is quite close to the location of the Haymarket Publishing Company, from which British Railway Modelling magazine comes.
