- With stunning cameo scenes and realistic water features, Kirtley Bridge Model Railway Layout is a must-watch!
Kirtley Bridge is based in the 1930s and is the type of layout that gives the viewer plenty to admire. It includes a mass of cameos throughout, with some incredibly realistic water features further adding to the wow factor.
This stunning layout appeared in BRM (British Railway Modelling) July 2017 issue: www.pocketmags.com/brm
Absolutely marvelous, very realistic....
Thumbs down to the people who gave a thumbs down ! Superb model.
Authentic layout which captures the era and locale magnificently...well done..doesn't need to be large and glamourous, wonderfully laid out....
A truly astonishing layout!! Your modelling skills and imagination are out of this World!
Thanks for posting. I have really enjoyed watching your video. Take care.
The attention to detail is sublime, fantastic layout, love the buildings, they look so prototypical and many man hours must have been spent making them. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice doing Bob! I love the little scenes.
Stunning model railway layout, gives a bit of realism in the scenic areas.👍
Arranging figures into cameos, brilliant! So many figures on layouts seem to be randomly placed, but arranging them in cameos, or ‘scenes’ tells a story, which is what model railway layouts are doing.
Fantastic railway!! I love that he didn't model BR era as well and did the LMS!!
Absolutely marvellous- very realistic- could imagine living there- well done 👏

What a joy to watch. Brilliant detail. Loved it
That is an amazing layout
Great stuff.
That's a stunning layout. Almost reminds me of the Rev. W. Awdry's Ffarquar layout. Very nice attention to detail, every one of the 6 modules looks distinct and unique.
Thats brilliant Bob. Just one point the trains stop , instead of slowing. But thanks its wonderful.
We start with an idea. We develop it so that it expands to strands. We think how these strands can come together to realise the original idea. Then we produce a plan that, yes, incorporate scenes, and track and we start to build. We review and change the track plan and the original idea becomes a model. That is the essence of a great railway like this. So much to see and comment upon. Frustrations on the way - certainly but the original idea has come to life and the satisfaction is immence.
Lovely to see... and as has been said previously, inspiring. I'd like to know more... Track planning and your thoughts on traffic arrangements.... Loved your idea on vignettes too.
beautiful
Interesting & nicely explained.
Wow Nice O Gauge layout and well planned.... Some of the wagons don't look right but that just maybe camera angles
Dear Sires,
I am just reading James Hutton's "Theory of Earth and its Implications on Model Railway Realism."
But really, aren't geology and astronomy the most enjoyable things for one to study?
Very beautiful layout!
Cheers from Brazil!
Superb
Wonderful! I feel like I'm watching a scene from "Midsomer Murders."
Srunning is the word !
I would have loved to have lived there had it been a real town
Woooow!
The back scene to die for if you're modelling the Dales. Where did you get it, please?
