Thankyou for this video! As long as you watch the entire video from start to finish it will guide you in describing the anatomical position for V1-V6 when performing an ECG. 😊

This was SO helpful. I habe three months to study and take the ccma exam. I lesrn better hands on vs reading. I couldn't understand what I was reading when it came to the EKG. Your video helped me to understand it.

Hey thanks for watching! I’m only teaching medical office assisting virtually right now so I won’t be able to anytime soon. But I will tell you this, the limb leads are the easiest ones to place. If you search it online, you may see them placed on both the upper and lower arms and either is fine. Same for the legs; you may see them placed in a couple different spots… even the torso if you can’t access the patient’s legs for whatever reason. I hope this helps :)

It is difficult to feel for those intercostal spaces after the 1st or 2nd space. I can't even findit on myself. Do you have any tips ? It is esp difficult wuth females since the breast tissue is in the way. a heavy set patient wpuld not be so easy to feel for those spaces.

This is true… this is why I always have my students practice on themselves so that they get familiar with feeling for the spaces. It’s hard to explain as I’m not with you and cannot guide your hands but you just have to keep at it. And as you do it more and more, you will know exactly where they go just by sight
