As a former national and international announcer, I gotta say at least sometimes they give them the wrong names, especially for relays. I would just say teams if I'm not familiar with how the person looks. It's easier with individuals, but sometimes there are so many people with all the events, you don't always remember. Even now, I'm about to recap this meet, but there are several athletes I'm not fully familiar with and I know I'll mess up a few times.
@@KmKryptonian I will say he's been questionable in his announcing for sure, particularly the distance races. He and Ato inspired me to become an announcer, to at least try to announce better than they did in the distance races LOL But who knows, since I was only a PA announcer, not the TV / radio announcer like that except a few broadcasts.
Does commentator Dwight Stones even know what Joseph Fahnbulleh looks like? Stones is a full-time commentator and 2X Olympic medalist who's been in our sport for OVER 60 YEARS. Come on, man!
@@TheHuskyK9 I see your point bro, but Dwight Stones actually interviewed Fahnbulleh last season, after this NCAA Outdoor 200 meter victory. He should easily be able to recognize Fahnbulleh on sight.

@@wymple09 He was anchor. they made me question myself for a split second, and I run a youtube channel covering these athletes LMFAO. That's how off they were and how convincing they were for half a moment.
I suspect it's fatigue. Remember after a long college season, he had to run in the olympics and shortly after that he had to prepare for indoors. Also he's probably dealing with a lot of pressure since he is/was the form athlete at Houston.
Here is a thought to help the Announcers, put a picture next to the names of the athletes. BTW: " Big Fahn " looks like he dropped couple pounds, and put on some muscles.
LOL... good job ya knobs.🤣🤣 But while we're talking about Joseph the TRAIN... I do see that he has dropped about 20lbs in the off season. 🤔🤔 Very nice, I heard one of his coaches talking a few months back about trying to make Joseph a bit more streamlined... maybe dropping a few lbs. Well, mission accomplished. He looks much more lean and ready to Blaze.👍🔥🔥
Omg these baton passes were horrible. I’m from Texas (Houston to be exact), and UoH, I’m lowkey disappointed. Granted that first lane is tight but 4th place though 😫
Incredible that you can go to a high-level collegiate meet and STILL see terrible exchanges. I mean BRUTALLY BAD. What's with it? I guess I was just lucky with the coaching I had -- our exchanges were rehearsed, understood, and flawless. We routinely beat teams with faster batons because our baton hardly sped down. Hint, hint. What I've seen for decades now of high-level US-based 4x1 teams is the inability to understand the concept of the exchange. And look at athletes throughout this race -- they are unquestionably performing DIFFERENTLY than they have practices. They have zero concentration, no concept. While we're at it, I'm seeing sprinters of about the last 10 years fail to get into the blocks correctly. Lastly, it seems more meets than ever are being run incorrectly. A missing procedure here, a ridiculous starter cadence there, the whole 60m debacle indoors, the Ryan Crouser thing.
Is the guy okay that fell to the ground? He fell hard on that ground. Did he hit his head? He needs medical attention. I feel bad for him. Praying for him that he has a full recovery.
How did they not recognize Fahnbulleh? His appearance and running style are unique.

I will never understand why this “Dwight” guy is the commentator. Dude has been absolutely trash for years

That white lady annoys me and Dwight Stones should have retired a decade ago.
These fake "analysts" have no idea what they are talking about. Was this scripted??? 😂
@ 02:02, he said "that is NOT Joseph Fahnbuellah". Newsflash: It IS Joseph Fahnbulleh who took the anchor leg to victory for the Florida Gators.

Dwight, you usually are an A-1 commentator. But you blew this one. OK--you are allowed 1 bad call.
Whats with the camera angles? Why did we spend the entire 3rd leg staring at the runner who fell?
I guess we all look alike?
Fahnbullehs running is really fun to watch he just overhauled the field at 50 meters out
who the heck filmed this?????? Missed all of the important angles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
