      crazy fast !!! its rare to see that type of spilts , even at world champs finals or Olympic finals !! M Johnson has the fastest split ever with a 42.9 I think

    Imagine running 44 and getting hawked on the final 100m. This year's NCAA is psychotically deep. Most countries in Europ e 4x400 would be the third best team in the SEC.

      Hmmm, 200m and 100m was very mediocre, as well as 400m. However, the 4x400 was unbelievable

That guy's right; the NCAAs are full of world-class performers and performances, punctuated by those 4x4 anchors. It is easily one of the best meets in the world every year. If it were about mediocrity, I wouldn't watch it.

    Nah Auhmad Robinson has my respect. Might be one of the best 4 by 4 relay runners ever, running 43 low twice at the biggest stage is no easy feat (first time was when he was at SFA!!). Bright future ahead of him.

      I believe he also ran a 43.9 in 2023 to hold the Aggies in fifth place. That was a crazy fast race so Auhmad’s performance understandably was overlooked because of the teams ahead of the Aggies

      Rewatch the race. No he didn't. He got the baton even surg several other teams. He just ran the first 200 more conservatively which gave most of the other teams a lead on his leg before he closed the gap back down on some of the teams.

      Last year.... SFA wasn't cutting it for him and I think we all can agree. Although SFA is a D1 school its in a D2 category. Did you see anyone from SFA there?

      He transferred to A&M in 2021 but did Olympic development training in 2022, I believe from what I saw off his IG. And back in full swing w/the team in 2023

    Anchor Ahmad Robinson of Texas A & M was outrun by Steve McElroy of Arkansas but everyone is giving him all the accolades because he was able to hold the lead his teammate's gave him.

      Not exactly. They both ran 43.2. That's why he didn't catch him. If you run a 43.2 anchor to win at the ncaa championship, you SHOULD get the attention.

      Disagree.... They both ran 43 and it was noted. Ahmad may have have been given all the accolades because he was victorious. If you want to be technical he ran the hell down on Florida. His turnover is a problem and he wasn't even on fresh legs. Both 400m rounds and both 4x4 rounds. Now give that man his flowers and stop hating.

      @@traderstatusquo nothing they're a great shoe, it's just they're mainly used for longer distances like 1500 -10k's and it's weird to see them being used in a sprint event like a 4x4, which the main shoe is maxflys or any other sprinting shoe that has a carbon fiber or really stiff plate to help with sprinting

    This is shameful...look at all the empty seats at the D1 National T&F Championships. And for what? Because the NCAA and UO are charging absurd prices for their tickets. I have a great job in Portland, OR and could not afford to take my kids down to see these amazing athletes. Thanks, NCAA!

      how much were they? The west prelims were only $10, and definitely looked more packed, though UO has more seating so maybe just more spread out.

    Its crazy that the only mens events that are actually raced with competitors giving it their absolute all are sprints. 4X400 ,, 100, 200 are the best to watch cause people bring their A game. The 800, 1500 and up are lazy so called "tactical races" where they jog 90 perfect of the distance.

The front guy usually goes through the 400 in 52 and the majority of field hits at 54/55.. You have no clue what you are talking about if you argue this.. Literally its a fact..
