"reintroducing kids to classic stories"....god thats a horrible take. Thats what the original animations were already doing. Many of them aren't at all original stories, they were classic European folklore, but they actually made them cinematic with great songs and visuals. Disney didnt invent Robin Hood or Winnie the Pooh or Pinocchio. But they did bring them more to life through their movies. These live actions are literally just bad remakes. No originality injected at all. And to say "they reintroduce them to kids" as if we don't have streaming services where you can just watch all of them at any time is so deluded.
@@h_shah5429 exactlyyy. And these live actions are just a product of their time. We’ll look back on them in 20-30 years and be like “ouf, this is unwatchable CGI”, which is literally the whole reason these are just cash grabs
i agree with the mad max comment, the practical effects are all great, but the vfx don’t hold up in my opinion, like the flashback trauma stuff just looks goofy
Live Action: It CAN work that way, like Cinderella and Jungle Book. But it works better on the more flawed films with room for improvement rather than the near perfect ones for BaTB. And it needs to an ADAPTION - with changes made to better benefit a live action approach - rather than a shot for shot of the animation. Scorses: I think if he’s gonna give us the long run time that long, he needs to take a lead out of Hateful Eights book and make intermissions great again. Matrix: Agree, although I enjoyed Reloaded as a fun action. Revolutions was a cash grab.

The 2016 jungle book is good example but the rest of Disney's properties don't survive the market by simply being repackaged in a new format and resold
I mean...
Think about it,
Were you ever interested in a remake of snow white?
Cause I sure wasn't
That's why they're controversial all the time with the casting
Now if course people are gonna watch even though they know it's bad
Disney never put any effort in the sequel trilogy yet they know you went to watch all three films
If they can make money and they don't have to try
Why should they?
That was not a picture of goro miyazaki and hayao miyazaki loll it’s another celebrity
Hot take: cgi 3d animation (like pixar) will never be as good as 2D visually
hot take: Godfather part III is the best Godfather movie... made in the 90s
While I'd say I feel bad for Goro Miyazaki, on the same token he's not that great of a filmmaker objectively. The only hit he had was From Up on Poppy Hill, and even at certain points I almost forget that it exists.
Say what you will about Karsten.
My farts are better than Karsten’s farts.
100% agree with the Matrix hot take.
Agree hard about Cars 2. Its just trying to be a fun spy movie (which does still have racing). And the way it massively expanded the creativity and action on so many levels is honestly quite impressive.
please do another one of these videos loveddd it and your opinion is refreshing lol
Karsten watches arlo?? What a reveal
Excited to hear u on Sardonicast!
Martin Scorsese had such a hard time finding funding for The Irishman what do you mean he’s flaunting his money making long movies? That’s just wrong
I genuinely cackled at that Spider-Man homecoming take. I don’t get some people
I could watch an hour of this
I love your pfp. Is just the best
It pisses me off when people cite not being able to go to the bathroom as an excuse for not liking long movies. How hard is it to go to the bathroom before the movie starts.
Fantano Karsten crossover episode when?
Karsten i'm still waiting on that Succesion review...
I like how this guy is looking for emotional moments in a movie about talking cars
haven't watched yet but had to say cars 2 is the best cars movie. I wasn't aware that was unpopular till recently, what is with the cars 2 slander
I can only assume you haven't seen the other two then
@@ey3z4ya cars 2 is unrivalled and i don’t remember cars 3.
Succession video when??
Love the shout out to Fantano and especially Arlo. Arlo is genuinely one of the best on the platform and if you like video games (mostly Nintendo) he does great videos on them
Love the arlo shoutout!
AMAZING VIDEO IDEA make more like this
The thumbnail ain’t lying tho
Ik I’m hella late but cars 2 is the first movie I remember watching where I said to myself “yeah I’m too old for this,” I was five years old btw.
what movie is that at 7:51?
Cars 2 is actually a lot more enjoayble than the first one for me. I feel that Lightning McQueen is so unbearable in the first one.
Mater made lots of silly mistakes too in the 2nd one, but somehow I don't mind him being the way he is
Im gonna say it: Aftersun was extremely overrated
Homecoming being the best isn't my opinion but it's not a bad take to say it is
I am a little bit late to this video, but you should do this more often I like this more candid and comical version of you
better then pretentious roasting fans, celebs top 4's and shit
I can't believe saying the "Matrix sequels are bad" it's a "hot take". I mean are we really defending that trash now? Specially the last one.
I, the menu enjoyer, have been roasted
From up on poppy hill by Goro is great
"reintroducing kids to classic stories"....god thats a horrible take. And to say "they reintroduce them to kids" as if we don't have streaming services where you can just watch all of them at any time is so deluded.
yeah the animation on the old disney movies is timeless
@@h_shah5429 exactlyyy. And these live actions are just a product of their time. We’ll look back on them in 20-30 years and be like “ouf, this is unwatchable CGI”, which is literally the whole reason these are just cash grabs
Homecoming is not the best, I can see it being someone’s personal fav, it was mine until the spiderverse movies happened, it’s very nostalgic for me
love the new lil dude icon
Have you seen the idol yet ?
i've only seen from up on poppy hill but from what i remember it was solid so i think goro miyazaki is ok given the right material
i agree with the mad max comment, the practical effects are all great, but the vfx don’t hold up in my opinion, like the flashback trauma stuff just looks goofy
Some people really came with the hottest takes and they were proud of it huh
Freaking great
Thank you Karsten for defending The Irishman, that film gets way too much hate
Live Action: It CAN work that way, like Cinderella and Jungle Book. But it works better on the more flawed films with room for improvement rather than the near perfect ones for BaTB.
And it needs to an ADAPTION - with changes made to better benefit a live action approach - rather than a shot for shot of the animation.
Scorses: I think if he’s gonna give us the long run time that long, he needs to take a lead out of Hateful Eights book and make intermissions great again.
Matrix: Agree, although I enjoyed Reloaded as a fun action. Revolutions was a cash grab.
Personally, I really like Matrix Revolutions as it puts the finale in Neo's story which is also why I didn't like Matrix 4 taking that finale away.
Agree with Cars 2. It was a lot of fun, was great to have Michael Caine in the film, and the animation had improved from the 1st.
I think some scenes are fun but there’s not much substance to it when the plot is awful the villains motive makes no sense so you establish a new energy source and is well known for it but you sabotage it to support big oil which can also hurt your reputation this is hurting my head
@@staringcorgi6475 Dude, it's a film about talking cars...
@@r4h4al but the first cars was more coherent than this and chick hicks had a more realistic motivation which is of ego dudes willing to do deplorable stuff in a race to win
Nah, The Menu is pretty great
idk tbh eating edibles makes everything the best film ever
