I watched the movie about her life and fell in love with the story. It was one of the reasons that made me study Pedagogy.
I know that my country does not have a good example of education, because horrible news comes out about neglect and attacks against teachers, bullying against students and lack of government investment in this area. But as long as I'm alive, I'll keep fighting for a fairer education in the country. I believe it changes the world.

You was my favorite teacher and you taught me a lot. I remember when you had the map on the wall and ask me to show where we have been. What states we lived in? Different events that happened and the games we played. Going to see the Utah Jazz. Seeing your baby when you had her. Meeting your other two kids. I remember the picture all of us kids painted. I know it's still hanging at the shelter in Salt Lake City. Making butter in a mason jar. The snacks we got to have after certain things.

You have precious memories. I hope Mrs. Bess sees your comment and replies soon. If you make one person feel the way she made you feel, you will have spent your time wisely.

Thank you Ms. Bess. I was a teacher for 8 years. I have been a therapist for the past 2 and it’s been amazing but … idk if I’m crazy but I’m feeling called back to teaching

My husband and I just watched her movie last night and I had to Google her this morning to find out more about her. Her speech was wonderful. I have two sons an a daughter-in-law who are all teachers, and I am going to tell them all about this wonderful teacher and suggest they buy her book, because I am.
