I love PLL and have to admit this is the first ‘interview’ I’ve seen with Shay, she just comes across as such a warm, genuine, wonderful person. I’m so glad you had her on!
Would be cool to have a “last meal” potluck- everyone brings what they would choose for their last meal and everyone gets to try each others. Great way to get to know your friends on another level!
Love the show so much but I'm not a fan of the new format sadly. I really enjoyed hearing the guest list off their meal choices in the beginning. It felt more personal to the guest like they were specifically asking for these things. Thenew format feel a lot more like Josh just presenting foods they like to them. Love the show and the whole channel tho!!
yeah but you gotta think about how people just stay to watch the menu and then skip the whole video (me included sometimes if i don’t know the guest), therefore decreasing watch time. so from a business standpoint it does make sense
@unlitrash yes, but I feel the same can be true for the opposite. I could not be familiar with a guest and have my interest peaked by an off the wall food choice (like payton list enjoying skyline chili)
@@MoTH7370 yeah that makes sense too. and don’t worry i miss the old format too, it kinda gets me excited for the video but unfortunately the algorithm has taken over social media so they have to make those adjustments :(
I love them introducing the meals as they are brought out. Having watched all of the old format and the new format now, it just feels like they're spoiling a bit of the intrigue/mystery behind someone's last meal, whereas I think it makes it atleast a more coherent listening experience to have the introduction roll, then introduce the foods as they go
She’s a delight! What a perfect person to just have a meal and talk with. She has such a zest for life and food and has such interesting views. Amazing episode!
Is it just that everyone who comes on here is just a gem or are people just all great, and talking about death and sharing food is the way to bring them out
I had no idea who she was going in, but now I think she’s a definite vibe. This show brings out a very genuine side of people that I haven’t otherwise seen. Well done, Josh. Also how is she 37 looking like that???
yall please bring back the og intro where they introduce the food this new format doesnt even feel like its the celeb asking for this food and now im j skipping thru to the food parts and not even watching the interview 😭 knowing the foods made me excited to watch further now i j wanna skip thru the questions till i know whats next
Yeah :( for some reason the intro made me more motivated to watch the entire episode through and with this change I did not finish the video. It’s not that I think she’s less interesting, but I think the format change really made a difference.
@@LevleupEverybody has one, but saying you skip through the video because you don't know each meal comes next (even though the meals are in the thumbnail and in the intro) sounds crazy
What she says about her grandmother's soul coming back as sometimes a butterfly, sometimes hummingbird, makes sense to me. I'm Filipino American myself, and I was taught as a child that my mother's people believe that everything had a soul, before the colonizers came. Every blade of grass, every tree, every animal, they all have a soul. And yeah, we believed our ancestors speak within us and speak to us through the birds and the insects primarily, but other animals as well.
My first intro with Shay, as a fellow Canadian. As a Canadian she was prob influenced by another Canadian show called The Thirsty Traveller which would have aired around when she was younger. Another great show about travelling and finding the best drinks.
Shay Mitchell IS my spirit animal with all of the drinks that she’s included because OMFG😂😂 Ole’ Girl didn’t care what time it was.. she said “I’m bringing tequila & im having an espresso martini & im eating good food & having a full-blown talk sesh”. She is quite literally THE best❤😂
This was such a great episode! I cannot believe it’s been 8 years since she was on GMM… what?! Lol Josh’s face at her last words was hilarious. Just shiddid himself basically lol.
Funnily enough, we had a Canadian show in the early to mid 2000s, called the Thirsty Traveller that was about exploring different alcoholic beverages from around the world.
I was literally doing a rewatch of pretty little liars last night and then this uploaded, I’m obsessed with her, what a beautiful and well spoken woman
just like i spent my childhood waiting for my letter from hogwarts, i’m spending my adulthood waiting for an email from the mythical kitchen inviting me to my last meals episode 😭
Josh can you get Corey Taylor for Last Meals? Also I think a good mini series you guys could do would be to have each of you teach Bert Kreischer 3 meals, or perhaps do it as a challenge where he helps both teams while you try to teach him a recipe of a cuisine he picks for that week, and he and both jordans judge the final results
How sick would it be to have Josh, Nicole, Vi and Lily cater a party. I'm sure there's a price at which they'd agree to do it. I'm just not sure I have that much cash. 😂
Can't get enough of these last meal vids and Shay is such a gem! Loved this one but wished she would've annouced her last meals at the beginning 😕 regardless great vid! 🩵
Oh, it is so awesome you got Shay on today. I’ve been a fan since PLL, she is an amazing actress! ❤😊 I love her positivity with life. Now you got to get Sarah Michelle Gellar on this show! She loves great food too. 💕
If you can get rock/metal vocalists to come on Last Meals that would be amazing Every one of them seem to have so much insightful and deep things to say
America actually does have ketchup chips, we sell them in my store! Wise and Lays both introduced them as flavors a few months back. Highly, highly recommend to all my fellow Americans who haven't yet tried them
I worked in a potato chip factory for a year in Massillon, OH. We absolutely made ketchup flavored chips. And guess what? it was the same seasoning for multiple brands.
I loved this episode. Shay is a breath of fresh air and man, I'd love to see her co-host one episode with Josh. That'd be a treat! I'd also love to see Sean Evans from First We Feast Hot Ones on an episode. That would make for some interesting content!
Booze Traveler was all about traveling and stories about the particular liquor, drinks, etc... Also, Three Sheets has 3-4 seasons like Booze Traveler and it was all about the same thing.
Her PR coach deserves a medal, she's such a good interviewee
I really miss the intro with the menu of items. It piqued my interest regardless of the guest.
Exactly. It was fun to see the full list.
The best part of this comment was how you let us know you miss the intro. Just kidding obviously that’s obviously an absurd perspective
Agreed
Same! It was the best part! Made me look forward to the rest of the video.
This might just be me, but I'd usually skip that part to enjoy the items as they were introduced.
I love PLL and have to admit this is the first ‘interview’ I’ve seen with Shay, she just comes across as such a warm, genuine, wonderful person. I’m so glad you had her on!

Last meal potluck end of season special with all the mythical talent would be amazing

Loved the interview. I would love the initial menu overview back though!
She’s a delight! What a perfect person to just have a meal and talk with. She has such a zest for life and food and has such interesting views. Amazing episode!
I wish more women agreed with Shay on aging! It’s a gift 💞💞. Being young is nice but it’s only a small part of you or your life. Great ep guys!
I love Shay’s views on life I couldn’t agree more about birthdays and aging and celebrating life

We are currently rewatching PLL, this is perfectly fitting.
My favorite guest yet, I could listen to her for hours, such a beautiful spirit
I love her !!! So classy, well spoken & kind.
They both killed this interview, such a good show❤
Love shay’s vibe
Could watch her all day
She’s so well spoken & eloquent ✨✨🫶🏽

Heck yeah! I've never heard of her but her outlook on life is extremely similar to mine and I appreciate hearing it from someone else!

Shay stole my heart as Emily and she is a kick ass momma and entrepreneur and is just "Slay" personafied 🌟
I just started watching PLL for the first time so this was perfect timing. Shay is a beam of light.
the first 4 seasons are great. Then ending is just terrible, be prepared lol
I love how engaging she is from the jump like it makes me wanna hang out with her. She’s def one of those people that can sell you anything 😂
This made me reevaluate my entire life. Thank you Shay. And Josh, keep up the good content. Big love from South Africa
Her enthusiasm about food, life, traveling, and alcohol ❤ her energy is fascinating to me, I truly love this and feel inspired.
Good episode. It would be cool to see some crew members last meals. Stevie, Nicole, Rhett, Link, and others occasionally sprinkled in
I didn't know who she was but I like her personality she seems genuinely awesome
