  • The single-engine Piper M600 is more of what you want in luxury, performance and value. Operators call it the best value in its class because it was designed for owners who want extra range and speed without the inflated cost. The new clean-sheet wing is at the heart of the changes to the Piper M600 providing slick aerodynamics that help you go farther, faster without leaving anything or anyone behind.

    Good quick overview of the M600! Piper needs to team-up with someone flying the M600 on o regular basis and have the flights captured on video for UA-cam. For example SteveKinevo’s channel has done very well promoting the TBM turbo prop. Do not underestimate the power of UA-cam to keep your aircraft in the public’s’ mind. Thanks again!

      That’s a stretch. Pretty arrogant to assume anyone who is capable must have come from the military. But, that’s the way of former military pilots, so I guess it makes sense.

    It's strange that your main competitor's are the smaller siblings, the 350 and 500. Seems like a good value alternative to the other more expensive competition.

      Ha! This is an excellent question. I suspect if you ask Piper they will tell you yes.. but you won’t like the price. Given the excellent capability of the PA46 aircraft “as is”and the economic efficiency it provides, I recommend some portable pee bags and a visit to your urologist just to be safe. 40 odd years ago I was flying a Beech King Air equiped with old fashioned round dials and needles. I popped my head inside a Saab 340 parked next to me to have a look at the new fangled glass cockpit. The pilot of the Saab told me in all seriousness that many pilots could not cope with the new technology. What an idiot he was. Having spent the last 30 years flying EFIS equipped jet transports, transitioning back to steam driven gauges is what would be difficult.

    Does it have autoland?

    • @RWRPilotTraining
      @RWRPilotTraining  2 роки тому

      The aircraft in this particular video did not. Auto-land is now standard on all production M600 aircraft. Serial number 200 and above (I believe) have auto-throttle as well. This will undoubtedly improve safety and owner satisfaction. It is an amazing aircraft and was heretofore unavailable to owner pilots at any price! Check out some of my videos that demonstrate these features.

    • @RWRPilotTraining
      @RWRPilotTraining  6 років тому +4

      Yes indeed.. and a very different mission as well. The Piper M600 is an excellent first turbine for any pilot because it is a very uncomplicated turbine aircraft and therefore easy to fly; No ground idle; no inertial separator; no hot lips; with very simple and robust fuel and electrical systems. It handles very much like its piston counterparts. It is reliable and relatively fast with great range and payload.. and did I say it’s easy to fly?

    • @thezeek2745
      @thezeek2745 3 роки тому

      @@RWRPilotTraining I don’t think the payload is that great from what I’ve read. But for the price you’d have to double to the price for a bigger payload like the e1000 gx

      It has 1200 NM range with a 658 lb payload at 270 kts in cruise. I believe this is the best value in single engine aircraft and I believe it is perfect for a variety of missions. Fly Safely - Train Often .. DR

    I am not a pilot, but need to ask this stupid question. The nose or the hood being so long wouldn’t it impair pilot’s vision for safe flying?

    • @RWRPilotTraining
      @RWRPilotTraining  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Lionheart.. Not really. The reason for the High prominent glare shield is to allow instruments to be clearly visible in front of the pilot. It is also important in newer aircraft to shield the glass panel from sunlight which can make the screen hard to see. Aircraft designed for instrument flight are all designed this way. I hope this helps. DR .. Fly Safely - Train Often

      Lionheart Forever ,coz it’s a turbo engine, turbo engine usually needs that much long space.

    • @raymacmillan2277
      @raymacmillan2277 4 роки тому

      I believe it’s more for balancing. The turbine engine is half the weight of a piton engine so to balance the aircraft properly you need to move the lighter engine farther forward.

    • @rainerzufall689
      @rainerzufall689 4 роки тому +1

      @@andrewking9072 No, it does not since the engine isn't longer.

    • @RWRPilotTraining
      @RWRPilotTraining  Рік тому

      I think I misinterpreted the original
      question. I see the answers above addressing the issue of weight and balance. This is correct. No aircraft designer wants even a slight possibility of an aft CG scenario. Placing the lighter turbine engine farther forward makes their design more stable in a variety of loading scenarios. Fly Safely - Train Often .. DR
