Anyone know if you need to plug the old screw holes that don’t match/overlap the new roof vent? It wasn’t done in this video and I’m not sure if it’s necessary or not.
Yes - The butyl tape applied at around 2.32 in the video will fill/plug any mismatched old screw holes. IF you have any holes that would not covered by the butyl you will definitely want to plug and seal them before installing your vent.
Thank you for the great tutorial.
Does Rudy have a video on removing & sealing a side window on my '04 Layton

I'm in Florida and I applied Dicor lap sealant to vent fan 5 days ago on my van and it's still soft. How long before it hardens?
I dont believe dicor lap sealant hardens it stays flexible
